xxxSpeaking to professors was certainly no easy feat. Maggie had never really done so. At least, not in any personal sort of manner. She'd spoken to the charms professor during a Yule celebration the year before, just as a simple greeting, and her conversations with her Head of House were dwindled down to 'you're a prefect' 'oh on god?'. It wasn't much experience to go off of.

And yet here she was, standing outside the astronomy classroom after her Wednesday night class, holding in her arms the only planning she'd ever done. A proposal of sorts, scribbled in glittery pink ink inside of a leather-bound journal. See, Maggie had looked up to Professor Horne ever since her hiring in March. She liked the energy that the professor exuded, the way that she carried herself and the enthusiasm that she displayed in their classroom demonstrations. Plus, despite her being less than perfect at astronomy as a whole, Maggie really did quite enjoy it.

So, for the last month, she had been attempting to collect her thoughts and ideas in a journal that her mother had sent for some dream journaling. Diary entries, Christmas wishlists, the like. Instead, Maggie began to scribble down the drunken (metaphorically) ramblings of a girl who wanted nothing more than to put together a holiday event. An all-inclusive holiday free-for-all. With her astronomy professor, preferably. A formal business proposal, if you will. She had stayed outside the classroom after class, waiting patiently until her clammy hands dried up and she gained some of that tell-tale, Maggie Hawkins characteristic charisma.

With a nervous sigh, she ducked into the classroom again, holding her journal aloft in her palms. "Erm, Professor Horne? Can I second a have? Sorry, have a second?"

I really value when people use violence for me, it's actually one of my love languages.
