The Divorce Part 3 Solo closed

This time Taisia was in the Small Hall when the letter arrived. It was November 2, just over a week since she had last heard from her mother and sister. She was starting to worry her mother hadn't gotten custody. But nonetheless an owl flew in and dropped two letters in her hands. And there on the front of the first envelope was her mother's hand writing. She ripped it open.

Dear Taisi,
I have custody of you and Althea. We can't wait for you to come home for Christmas!
Love Mum.

Dear Taitai,
Dad disowned us both. He took Odelia too. The judge (the person who decides whether mum and dad get divorced or custody of us) offered mum to fight for custody but her lawyer (the person who defends her in court) told her not to because it was highly likely she would lose seeing as she isn't related to Odelia at all anymore.
I think mum has a boyfriend. I saw her with some guy yesterday. He looks a bit like that guy with mum in that old photo dad hates. I hope he doesn't cheat on her like dad did. That photo is framed on her bedside table now. Maybe it's just because mum likes what she looks like, but I suspect another reason.

Taisia wasted no time in scrambling to the Owlery to write her reply.

Dear Mum,
I can't wait for Christmas either! I'm so glad you got custody of us both!
Love you to the moon and back, Taisi.

Dear Althea,
I can't believe dad disowned us! He said he wouldn't talk to me again but I didn't think he'd take it that far!
Oooh, so mum's got something happening for her! I'm glad, hopefully the mystery guy will help her forget dad. Speaking of love life, I have a date with the guy from the ball, @Lazarus Lave! What about you? Do all the Stroudefieldes have something happening? Gosh I'm so glad we took on mum's last name, not Warblehopper like dad's.
I'd better get to class.
