After receiving her letter of acceptance into Howarts, Pearl was simply one word, ecstatic. She couldn't wait to get there and begin learning everything she possibly could. Potions, charms, magical creatures, flying, it would all finally be happening soon but before she could head to the famous school she had to purchase her supplies. Her mother and her had been spending the whole day together gathering everything on the supplies list in Diagon Alley and the pairs next stop was Flourish and Blotts. To say Pearl was a bit of a bookworm would be an understatement. She loved relaxing and reading all sorts of genres of books so she was especially excited to be gathering her books, which she probably would start looking through the second they returned home.
Pearl could see the sign for the store as they walked along the street and smiled as she tightly gripped the bag in her hand. She noticed many other young witches and wizards shopping today, no doubt also gathering their own supplies for the upcoming school year. As they neared the shop she pushed some of her long red hair back behind her ear before grabbing the door to go inside. Once they entered the shop, Pearl looked around at all the books that lined the walls. She knew she was going to have to stop herself from buying more than just her required texts.
She started scanning the shelves to find the books she needed, slowly stacking one on top of the other. One book on her list especially caught her eye, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She was particularly interested in learning about magical creatures when she goes off to school. “I can’t wait to read through this.” She said softly to herself, placing the book on the top of the stack and then moving on to find the last book on her list.
Once Pearl was finished grabbing all of her books her mother and her went to the counter to pay. With the books secured her shopping trip was nearly complete, the only thing left being finally getting her very own wand and they knew just where to go to get the best.
