Waking up.
Continuation of Lookalike
John didn’t expect his first time in the hospital wing would be because of someone else passing out. His initial expectation would be waking up here after a panic attack. But instead here he was sitting by the bed of none other than his own doppelganger. Edward hadn’t woken up form his earlier loss of consciousness so John was forced to find someone to help him take Edward to the hospital wing. Thankfully there was a nice 4th year that was more than willing to help out.
When they arrived, the nurse helped Edward to a bed and made sure he was okay before going to help other students. A good twenty to thirty minutes later and here John was anxiously waiting for his lookalike to wake up. All this time ‘alone’ had given John some time to think about the circumstances he now finds himself in.
First, he found someone that looked like himself if he actually enjoyed physical activity.
Second, his last name probably meant something to Edward as he dubbed himself.
And last but certainly not least, he was now by the bed of Edward waiting for his awakening.
John hoped it would be soon as he had many questions that he needed answers for.

@John Penton
When Edward finally came to, he found himself in a bed he didn't recognize, a face that looked too familiar, and a headache beyond belief. He quickly recalled what had happened before to, what he believed, had been mere moments ago... He had just finished going to library with books stacked up as high as the heavens! It had been a risky choice to carry that many books, but Edward wanted to have a perfect grade... Of course due to this choice and the natural clumsiness of Edward he ran into another student... A boy... Who looked just like him, all except for the difference in their skin-tone... It hadn't been long before they started to question each other with their curious dark eyes, until his name was spent, John Penton. Edward guessed he had passed out, the whole situation had been too much. Edward had accidently hit his head when had fallen, causing him too be out longer than he should have, and gaining a splitting headache that felt like hell.
Of course since he had blacked-out he had no idea why he was now in the infirmary but based on the boy who sat next to him he guessed that he had been brought here by him.
"Thanks," Edward mumbled still gaining consciousness. He groaned rubbing the back of his head as he sat up to respectfully talk to his lookalike, John Penton. He knew the questions he had to answer were to come next, and the questions Edward had left to himself for years... But now all were answered unmistakably.... Because there sat, John Penton, Penton being the last name of the same neighbor that had ran off with his Father... Her name....Milly Penton....

“No problem.” John shrugged. “I mean what else was I supposed to do. Just leave you on the floor and walk away.
John was trying his hardest to light up the tension that had settled around the bed. He really wanted to ask what had made Edward pass out but now didn’t seem like a good time. Instead he took to looking around the room once again keeping his eyes almost everywhere but at Edward. John’s eyes landed back on the book that he had brought with him.
Of course, he wasn’t actually reading it he could barely make out what page he was on. His attention was too focused on the situation at hand. He couldn’t really do anything about it though as stopping his train of thought is almost impossible in most situations though derailing it proves to be helpful.
“How are you feeling.” He asked. “The nurse said you should be fine but can’t be too safe. But, there’s no such thing as being to safe in my opinion.”
While John was trying his best not to throw all of his questions at Edward he was genuinely worried for his health. The small amount of time that John knew Edwards he seemed to be a good person.

Edward shrugged back, John avoided his gaze like the plague.
“How are you feeling?” He asked. “The nurse said you should be fine but can’t be too safe... But, there’s no such thing as being too safe in my opinion.”
Edward chortled quietly at that, it gave him a little more perspective on him. John held a book on his lap, Edward wondered what it could be, only a second had passed from John's question before Edward spoke up in response.
"I'm good, thanks for asking, just a minor headache," Edward beamed at John, unlike John, Edward couldn't not look at him. Edward took a deep breath before saying his next words...
"You're probably wondering why I passed out, yeah?" He looked at John with a serious look on his face. "Im warning you that there is no going back after what I tell you... Are you sure you want to know? I'll give you as much time as you need to think it over."
He waited patiently for John's response, his heart felt as if it was lodged his throat.

John was grateful that Edward allowed him a moment to think. His options were simple enough, either learn something that could very possibly change his life or, live in blissful ignorance and forever wonder what it was. John could understand why someone would probably just walk away right now and never look back but he wasn’t that kind of person. Living knowing that there was something of great importance to his life and he didn’t know what it was would weigh on him.
So, even though Edward offered him time to think it wasn’t really necessary as the answer was obvious. “I thank you for the offer but I don’t need any time to think.” John said with as much determination he could muster. “I would like to know.”
John was probably using up all his courage for this month right now but he was sure it would be worth it. He liked to think he was someone at least somewhat knowledgeable and ignoring reality wasn’t something he did. He knew that whatever it was it would take Edwards a moment to put it into words so he waited patiently in his seat by Edward’s bed. John wouldn’t be caught of guard anymore today.

“I thank you for the offer but I don’t need any time to think.... I would like to know.”
Edward nodded, the choice was made, there was no turning back from either of them... Though they left a past behind a new one was to be created.... A story that was left buried along with secrets that lie withing it...
Edward told John his story.... The story that revealed all and uncovered the whole conspiracy....Edward's eyes had grown glassy as he recalled the bitter-sweet truth and refused to look at John. His nose and eyes bags had gone pink, he swiped away the tears. Just like his mother Edward had always been sensitive. He had grown up not caring about his father, even hating him for leaving them, for making his mother cry. He had asked John if he could handle the truth, but truth be told could Edward handle it? Edward's heart hurt as if he had been betrayed, his mother had never lied but withheld a lot of information from them...My mother's name is Lucy Love, and my father's name is Stuart Edwards.... My mother was a high acclaimed actress in New York City. She left everything in England behind because she loved Stuart so much and started new life with him. After some time in New York City, Lucy found out she was pregnant, at this news Lucy and Stuart moved to the recluse side of Florida in order to raise a family.... Not too far from them lived an almost angelic woman with golden hair, and a sweet smile. She helped the happy couple with whatever they needed, she was their best friend and more... Her name was Milly Penton. Little did Lucy know that Milly and Stuart started to have an affair. It was a troublesome week after Lucy had given birth... It was made harder when Stuart ran off with Milly... Two people she trusted, left her alone with.... Me.... Every since then she's protected me from everything, and... That's why I am here at Hogwarts.... To learn how to control my magic so I can protect her with it and so I can never hurt her....
"What's he like?" Edward said shakily sniffling. He then turned to look at the mirror of himself, once again assuring him this was not a dream. "Dad.... What's he like?"

“Oh, well he has a job as a carpenter.” John started looking at the wall as he ordered his thoughts. “He’s a really funny person when he wants to be. So much so that he could probably be a comedian. He loves the outdoors and is always trying to get me to go outside. He’s not much for technology unless it involves his job.”
It was a little hard trying to explain his father to Edward. You never really notice how much you pay attention to someone until you have to answer questions about them.
“One time he tried to figure out how a TV works and almost burned down the house.” John chuckled. “The firefighters chewed him out for being careless and he just stood there with new determination to figure out the innerworkings of the device. He is a terrible cook, like abysmal at it. There’s a rule around the house that he isn’t allowed anywhere near the stove.”
John didn’t really know what else he could tell Edward right now. John put on his best emotionless face and refocused his attention towards Edward.
“What about my mother?” John asked still sporting his emotionless face. “What is she like?”

“Oh, well he has a job as a carpenter...” John looked at the wall as he recalled his memories of their father. “He’s a really funny person when he wants to be. So much so that he could probably be a comedian. He loves the outdoors and is always trying to get me to go outside. He’s not much for technology unless it involves his job.”
Edward's eyes widened as he took in all the information that John told him, refusing to let even a single detail escape his grasp.
“One time he tried to figure out how a TV works and almost burned down the house.” John chuckled as he told the story. “The firefighters chewed him out for being careless and he just stood there with new determination to figure out the innerworkings of the device. He is a terrible cook, like abysmal at it. There’s a rule around the house that he isn’t allowed anywhere near the stove.”
Edward laughed a little about the story, still sadness blanketed around him, so as quick as the laugh started it ended. Edward felt like a shell of himself.... John's face became emotionless, he looked like a stone statue frozen in time before he focused his attention on Edward.
“What about my mother?” John asked with a poker face. “What is she like?”
"Mom?" Edward asked before grinning summoning the sweet loving memories he had of her. "She works as an accountant, she makes a good salary... But she it takes up a lot of her time... She's always so kind, intelligent, sweet, brave, and gentle with a warm soul... She is always protecting me in all ways imaginable, even if a little too much... She's always trying to be both parents...."
He though for a moment trying to recall more, he seemed to be sucked into his memories between time and space as he spoke....
"Every night she winds up a music box that was passed down from her family for generations, it's a beautiful ornate sea blue.... She sings along with it as she sits next to my bed until I fall asleep... And every morning I wake up to see her fiery scarlet hair. We watch movies together and act scenes out when she has the time... She's amazing..."
He smiled before swiping away another year, before looking back at John. He smiled at him.
"What about you? What do you like?"
