Think fast!
Date: September 2oth, early afternoon(I am flexible so let me know if this doesn't date doesn't work for you!)
Alec had been having rather lovely afternoons outdoors lately. A picnic date with Pea, afternoon tea with George, searching for Illowy. The days went fast, skirting by before Alec knew it, in no time it was nearing the end of the first of school month. Pulled into all the mess with Jack's hag ritual, and Alec's worry for Opeila, she was still in a coma. But for a moment he could focus his attention elsewhere, take the heavy weight of his chest and be able to breathe.
Autumn was coming, multi-colored leaves scattered on the ground, though beautiful the plants would begin to look like they were dying off, a sore sight. It was going to get colder, Alec enjoyed sweater weather as much as the next person, he knew he was going to miss the warm weather. Moments of reflection that all lead up to this. Alec grinned as he felt the sunlight warm him, the gentle breeze swaying the branches and tickling his skin. This was the moment Alec had been waiting for, a chance to test out his dangerous and frankly stupid purchase, the fanged frisbee. Fangs so sharp it came with a glove to handle it! It also made weird growling noises. . . Something to investigate later.
Having walked far out to the grounds, Alec figured the open space would be the best place to test it. Alec had a decent throwing arm, the fanged frisbee would get far. Admittedly, his aim tended to be slightly off, he was going to have to be careful. The lack of people out on the grounds was convenient, the less likely he was to injure someone, the better. Alec assumed slicing your peers with a fanged frisbee was considered grounds for expulsion.
Getting into position Alec eyed his fanged frisbee with pride. He had faith in this mighty frisbee, it would go far and he would have to run to catch up with it, still wanting to avoid the whole slicing up his. His gloved fingers gripped onto the fanged frisbee in his hand.
Arms as far to the right as they could be, feet firmly planted into the ground. In a half circle Alec swung his left arm reaching out, frisbee in hand. Letting go just before the real momentum of the swing hit his arm. He silently cursed though his mistake didn't hold his attention to the mistake for long. Alec's eyes were glued to the fanged frisbee, watching as it sliced through the air, it was fast and Alec ran to keep up with it.
The frisbee was going far, and heading with the wind. There was only one problem with the fanged frisbee going as far as it did. Alec didn't plan for it. Meaning the fanged frisbee was heading straight for an innocent pedestrian. Oops? To Alec, they seemed distracted, how was he supposed to grab their attention? Alec's eyebrows furrowed. He needed to- “eugh- Mate! Think fast!” Under pressure 'think fast' would be the only thing he could come up with. He wasn't sure it properly displayed the danger the bystander was in. Danger that totally was not Alec's fault.
Alec reached for his wand from his wand holder. He knew he was going to have to take up secondary measures if the kid didn't dodge in time. He wanted to hold off if he could, he wasn't sure how great using flipendo would look when his excuse was making sure the other didn't have his face sliced up by a fanged frisbee.

Interacting with @Alec Mason
In the early afternoon, many people began to venture outside after finally waking up their bodies from their slumber. One of those was Gray, who was steadily jogging along the gravel path of the grounds on his regular long route. The weather was starting to get colder now, but even though he was in his shorts and a short sleeve shirt the exercise was sure to warm him up soon enough. Right now though, the sun was shining and giving him some brief warmth. Like everyone else, he was going to miss the summer breeze.
Eventually, the Slytherin came to a stop and took a sip of the water bottle that was in his hand. Since joining Hogwarts he had gotten considerably fitter and stronger. He felt like he could run forever and not get tired like he used to, which was beneficial considering how demanding the broom racing was. The same could be said for surviving the horrors Hogwarts had to offer, he needed to be at the top of his game if he wanted to survive.
While he was placing the top back on the water he heard a loud shout from afar. Snapping his head, he saw a nasty looking frisbee fly toward his head at speed. His eyes widened slightly before suddenly ducking in time to avoid a trip to the med bay. Gray watched it fall to the ground as he got up, casually dusting himself off as he looked back to the other boy.
"Be careful!" he said sternly at first while slowly but surely walking over to him "I know it's an open space so try and be more careful. Either way... I thank you for the warning" If it wasn't for Alec, he would have had a nasty wound for sure "What is your name? I believe we've never spoken before"
“This is only a foretaste of what is to come, and only the shadow of what is going to be.”

Alec let out a breath of relief he hadn't realized he'd been holding in as the other boy ducked just in time to avoid what could have been a terrible accident. What a close call. The fanged frisbee landed somewhere off in the distance, and the could-have-ended-up-headless stranger made their way over to him. The Gryffindor resolved to fetch the fanged frisbee later. Smirking at the stern reprimand from the other. Alec folded his arms across his chest in such a way that show of mock pride. “I like to live dangerously.” Alec replied sarcastically. After he would nod thoughtfully taking the other's second warning seriously. “The space was mostly clear... but I should be more careful.” Alec said reflectively. Alec was even more relieved in the fact the other seemed to take the incident well. A funny story for later. No harm, no foul?
Introductions were in making as the boy asked for his name, “It's Alec, and you are?” Alec asked raising a brow, the stranger was familiar though Alec couldn't pinpoint from where. Alec eyes fell to his gloved hand formerly holding a fanged frisbee, now empty. “Don't worry, I'm not usually out and about throwing fanged frisbees, it's a one time thing.” The mass chaos that could be created from fanged frisbee throwing was too much power, it was definitely going to be a one time thing. “It's almost so terrible it's funny, the target audience of fanged frisbee is little kids, hence those with the least self control.” Alec had to wonder how they weren't called back and removed yet, the amount of accidents that must have happened since it started being sold had to be numerous.
When Alec looked back up at the other a spark of realization hit him, now understanding why the other looked familiar. “You're on the Slytherin broom racing team, right?” Alec had been to a fair few of their races. Not for the actual love of the sport, Alec could imagine being one of those people. Still what was Alec supposed to do... not support his friend? Yeah, he wasn't getting out of having to spectate a few, there was no way around it. Really, the only positive was the fact that Wyatt was a sight for sore eyes a perfectly respectable not at all attractive young man while broom racing- er... random intrusive thought... Moving on.
