Wren Drewitt ~ First Year ~ Ravenclaw

Wren Drewitt was born February 16, 2011 in Newry, Ireland to Edmond Drewitt and Cedrina Eris-Drewitt. For the first year of his life, they were a very happy even picture perfect family, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The process of giving birth had left his mother rather weak so when she fell ill a year later her death was certain. This left his father to raise him by himself. Edmond Drewitt did the best he could to raise his son, having to juggle long hours of a job that didn’t pay much with making sure his child grew up well. This lead to Wren becoming rather independent as he grew, rather use to the idea of being by himself even when he was old enough to go to school. He did well in school and his teachers enjoyed having him in class, even if he was rather quiet. He got good grades, he followed directions, but never really had any friends unfortunately. Not particularly because they disliked him but mostly because it was somewhat difficult getting close to him. Of course there were always a few kids who would tease him, perhaps for his lack of friends or the way he looked but it never really seemed to ever bother him to much. When he wasn’t at school hhe would try to help his father with things around the house to make things easier. He loved his father dearly, even if he didn’t get to see him that much. Things when on like this for number of years at least till the year he turned nine. It was a fairly normal day when Wren’s magic first appeared. He had just returned from school and since his father was still at work and he decided to go out. He decided to head to the local park, and since it was fairly late at this point there weren’t many people around. He found his usual tree that he sat in and climbed up, he stayed up there for a while working on his homework and reading a book he had brought. Eventually, he figured it was time to go home and went climbing down the tree. As he went down, he ended up stepping on a fairly weak branch and it broke. Not realizing this in time, he ended up letting go of the branch he had been holding on to and started falling. He fell through a number of branches, fully accepting that he was probably going to break something until he just stopped. His eyes had been closed until this point and as he opened them to look around, he saw that he was almost floating right above the ground. After a few seconds though, he dropped again luckily though being much closer than he had been before. What should have been all of his bones broken and his possible death turned out to be a large turning point in his life. The situation leaving him extremely confused and somewhat concerned for both his health and well being. Many things were explained though when he turned eleven and a person arrived saying they were a professor at a magical school called Hogwarts and that Wren had been accepted into the school, meaning that he was a wizard. This explanation of things certainly eased his mind and certainly made him feel like he wasn’t quite as insane as he thought, as thus started a new chapter in his life.

Wren is fairly small and thin for his age, standing around the height of 4’5 and about 70 pounds. He is very pale, his face usually having somewhat of a rosy tint to it with a number of freckles scattered across his face and body. He has round, dark, forest-green eyes that can often be found with bags and dark circles underneath them. His body is very thin and can be found with a few scars and sometimes bruises due to his somewhat clumsy nature. Of course, even he isn’t quite sure where some of them come from. He has messy, dark ebony black hair that somewhat falls over his eyes and also has one of his more defining traits appearance wise, He has a white streak that is somewhat in the center of his hair due to a genetic condition known as piebaldism as well as to very off-white colored birthmarks on both of his wrists that look pretty much like splotches of paint. Clothes-wise, he can usually be found wearing some form of oversized sweater and pair of jeans as well as a small black woven choker.

Wren is fairly quiet and shy to most people, but once you gain his trust and get close to him, one kind find that he is actually quite talkative and somewhat energetic. He is very gentle and affectionate towards the people he cares about, usually wanting to help whenever he can even if he isn’t sure how to. He’s rather creative and pretty much always willing to try and learn something new. He enjoys music, writing, and drawing and can often be found with a book, sketchpad, or, if he has access to one, an instrument, usually a guitar. Wren has also always had a slight affinity towards nature, enjoying working in the garden at his house or going bird watching. He isn’t necessarily the bravest person, but if someone he cares about is in danger he will definitely do anything in his power to help. When it comes to people, it’s not particularly easy to get close to him. He tends to avoid people for the most part, mostly because he isn’t always sure how to talk to people and worries he’ll weird them out somehow. If someone does get close though, he is very energetic, upbeat, and extremely loyal to his friends. He enjoys sharing his interests and learning about people, even if it doesn’t always seem like it.
