The english landscape was scrolling under Lewis eyes, dreaming about his future life in Hogwarts. He was lost in his dreams since several days, amazed by this new world who just opened before him. Since London, he didn't slept much, as he was wondering every night wich spells will he learn, and how powerful will he become. While checking his trunk was correctly locked, he took a look at his mother who was still complaining for having to drive Lewis accross to London whereas wizard would definitely have better ways to go quicker to Scotland.

But what Lewis was worrying about the most wasn't the train and its destination, but the station track where it should start. Indeed, once having his trunk out of the car when they arrived in King's Cross, Lewis shared his doubt with his mother. She took a look at the ticket for a while, mumbling again. The Platform 93/4 ? Why not the 71/2 while we're at it ! Looking at her watch, she decided to enter the station. Maybe a checker would be able to help them. Observing the crowd, Lewis saw nothing but ordinary people going to work, returning from holidays. No witches in sight.

« Well. 10h52 a.m. His mother said. What and idea to not verify if their tickets are correctly printed. Strange people they are. »

Lewis really started to panick. He would never recover from being late at his new school, in this new unknown world. But nothing between the platform 9 and 10.

« - Excuse-me, sir. Said his mother while grabbing a young controller in her way. From which track does the Hogwarts Express leaving please ?
- The what express ? Ma'am, there is no such train... »

Staring desperately around him, Lewis thought he saw an owl on a luggage cart, like the ones there were on the Diagon Alley. But the bird disapear in a second, like it was never there.

Karrie was really excited for her first day to Hogwarts. She only heard about the Hogwarts castle from her elder brother, but never saw it. She was having a hard time squeezing herself in the car. Her second brother, Esco and her dad were sitting on the backseat with her and her mom was on the front seat because she has motion sickness. Karrie didn't knew how to adjust herself there. Her first experience to the station was- horrible. She somehow recovered herself, mumbling that the train will be better.
"There is no Platform named 9 3/4! God, I guess it's a printing mistake. What shall we do? She will miss her train and her elder brother will flood our house with letters-"
"Mom, calm down." Karrie said, looking at her mom, horrified. Her mom was screaming so madly that the rest of the people who were passing by were staring at her and mumbling something.
"We need to go through the barrier present between the platform 9 and 10!", Karrie said in a raising speed because her dad was surely going to blast.
"What nonsense! Don't tell me you are going to go through that thing and split open your head!" Her dad said.
Karrie simply rolled her eyes and said, "I guess the journey ends here. I will go through it no matter what and make sure not to look over there. And, you can go now, I don't think it's appropriate for you all guys to go in there together and start shouting like anything."
The three of them looked at each other, discussed something and atlast her mom said, "Fine dear, but you can call us, okay? You have that mini phone in your suitcase, right? If you make through the wall, then it's good but if not..." She looked with pitiful eyes at Karrie.
Why did it feel like they were emotional for no reason?
"Ok mom, stay well, and remember that I want your homemade cakes. And dad, stay safe and don't panic so regularly. Atlast, Esco. Please, don't be overprotective. Write me a letter when you have time. Good bye all!"
Everyone waved her goodbyes and she started making her way towards the barrier.

She looked around, noticing a boy with blonde hairs and black eyes standing there, looking a bit panicked, with his mom. It seemed like he was a wizard. When suddenly, she heard that boy's mom speak to someone, "Excuse-me, sir. From which track does the Hogwarts Express leaving please?"
"That's it! They are muggles like me and don't know about it! Thank goodness my elder brother told me about it." Karrie mumbled.
Karrie moved her trolley towards them and said, "Greetings to all. I guess you are having a hard time finding the way to Platform 9 3/4. I can help you, I guess!"
She pointed her index finger towards the barrier between platform 9 and 10. "We need to go through that barrier." Karrie said. "Being a Muggle, I don't know much about it but my brother who studies in Hogwarts told me this way. It's going to be a wholesome experience for me as well as for all of us."
Karrie hesitated and then said, "What do you think about it mam?" She then looked at the boy and smiled. Atlast she found a muggle companion just like her!

The crowd was so thick that Lewis had trouble to locate the voice he heard. While looking at the checker mumbling about annual prank, Lewis pushed his trolley to let him pass. It is at this moment that he saw a pretty young girl with auburn hair, pulling a luggage cart too. Lewis' mother stared at the newcomer for a while.

« Hello ! Lewis said. Yes we do. How do we find the train... ? »

Judging by her height, she should be around the same age as Lewis. While explaining how to get to the Platform 93/4, she proved her obvious knowledge of the wizarding world, reassuring Diana. Lewis stared at the wall she told them about. So... He will have to charge. Thinking about the wizards and their rum ideas, he wanted to ask her about the "Muggles" and what they were. But the clock was ticking and so, she asked his mom about how much she understood.

« Well, that's odd. I guess I should leave now. She said. I don't want to know how crossing a wall would make appear a train. »

Repeating to send her messages as soon as he arrives, she hugged him, wishing good luck to the year coming. Lewis had to disengage from her, embarassed, as she wouldn't let him go. She finally leaved and turn around in half away to jolting her hand again.

« I'm Lewis by the way. He said while turning around to the girl. So, how does it work... ? »

Karrie looked at the time, it was 10:56 already. She looked at them, while the boy's mother couldn't make the sense out of it. It was quite reasonable- how would crossing a wall make a train appear -she said something like that, which was quite reasonable for Karrie too, but she couldn't actually assure her because she wasn't confirm herself. While it was also going to be a new experience for Karrie herself, she watched Lewis's mom reminding him of writing letters and after assuring enough, left. Karrie meanwhile also noticed how much clinging they both were, although it was quite normal, she flashed a smile from inside.

After the boy's mom went away, he then turned around to her, looking slightly embarassed and introduced himself as Lewis Anderson and asked her about how does the whole thing work like.
"I am Karrie. Karrie Myers. It's really simple to understand the fact about crossing the barrier to open a whole new world. You need to charge straight into that wall, fast enough that no other Muggles notice you doing so. You see, the first rule forever stays that don't let the Muggles see something suspicious, something which is beyond their knowledge or reasoning." Karrie said, she was raising her speed of speaking because the time was running out. She was in a habit of giving short replies but once she starts to give a long reply, it probably never ends, but she controlled herself this time.
"You see, my brother told me to better close your eyes and cross it really fast, you won't feel a thing in that way." Karrie said, while keeping it in mind, not to make Lewis panick and even herself.

The so called Karrie Myers presented herself to Lewis, who bowed his head by reflex. She then started to speak gibberish to the young wizard, talking again about Muggles. By deduction, Lewis understood they were the people he knew from years, those magic-emptied persons. Lewis blinked many times : the solution she offered him was so strange and yet so.. logical, for her at least. Staring at what he assumed to be the magical wall, he saw a group of children disapear after a few strides and and several glances around.

He decided to do the same, following Karrie's instructions. After a last look at her to be sure she was following him, clinging to his trolley, Lewis moved to the wall, faster and faster, so as he almost felt lift into the air. Lewis reappeared on the other side of King's Cross, as if nothing happened. Looking right then left, he believed for a few second that he had skirted from the wall. But the evidence was there : the Platform 93/4 was real, growling onto magic as much as the Diagon Alley.

The train was ready to go, and the last students were entrusting their trunk to the employees. Doing the same, Lewis then turned around to see Karrie, but he was almost pushed by someone into the train. Not knowing what to do, he waited Karrie to appear, looking in the crowd. When she finally arrived, he said :

« Would you accept to... travel with me ? I mean, if you want, we can spend the trip together ? »

Karrie was getting excited and nervous at the same time. She was patiently waiting for Lewis to take action and tried to avoid the clock and her watch as much as she can.
He was looking kind of worried, it wasn't seeming reasonable for him. Karrie knew it well too, it was kind of crazy for her and she was feeling really weird thinking about the passage. But it isn't really right to show her nervousness to someone, not that she wants to add stress to something which is new for both.
Lewis gathered up his courage much to Karrie's surprise and went first through the barrier. He looked at Karrie and she nodded her head to encourage him more.
He made more a run for it and she followed him soon after. Her eyes were tight shut, will it hurt by any chance.
But no sooner she opened her eyes, she found herself standing right in the Platform 3/4. Owls swarming above and the puffing of the train was more beautiful than she imagined.
×××
She looked in front of her, hoping to see Lewis. But before she could get to see him properly, in a glimpse, a swarm of students pushed him inside the train. It was really a hustle and bustle going on everywhere. She kept getting startled seeing the cats passing by her and stroking her legs each time.
Karrie tried to get inside the train but before she could, another group of students pushed her inside.
As soon as she got inside, she pushed herself out of the students group and tried catching her breath. She didn't had such a bad experience in any station ever in her life.
Then her attention was caught by Lewis. He was waiting for Karrie to come. She smiled, and was going to ask him if he did like to accompany her in the journey but before that he spoke up. And much to Karrie's surprise, he too wanted to accompany her.
"Sure! I was also going to say the same. Let's find a suitable compartment then!"
