Taisia was in the study room, one of her regular places- the other being the library. All her homework was done but she was trying to do a bit of study. Taisia couldn't concentrate for more than 10 seconds. Her mother and sister had sent her an owl yesterday that her parents had gotten a divorce. But not a word had arrived from her father. Did he even care? As she set back to work an owl swooped in, and dropped a letter by her table.

It was her father's handwriting.

She ripped open the envelope as quickly but also as quietly as possible. Inside was a very short, cold letter from her father.

To Tasia,
Your mother and I were divorced yesterday. Please owl me with your decision for me to have custody. Your mother has no idea. I will be moving in with Odelia's mother and if you aren't going to live with us I don't want to see or hear from you.

Dad

Firstly, he had spelt her name wrongly. As her father he had had a say choosing her name. He should know how to spell it. He never wanted to see her again
Second, He had sent it late- her mother had cared enough to tell her the exact day.
Third, he wasn't going to speak to her ever again if she chose her mother? Fine. She wasn't planning on speaking to him from now on.

She wouldn't even be replying to him. He didn't deserve it. He had cheated on Elidine for 10 years. She hoped somehow her mother could find happiness.

There was no way Taisia would be able to keep studying now. She packed up her text book and went up to the Ravenclaw Dorms.
