Welcome to Camp Everything!
Intro
I'm not about to say that I want this to be my one and only story. 'Cause I don't. But, I will tell this story because it's important, and important stories must be told...
My parents have been missing for 5 years. 5, long years of living with Grandma. 5 years of having to deal with my older sister, Nikki. 5 years of hopeful wishing that someday I would see my parents once again. It hasn't worked. Of course, summer vacation has now come. The year that I'll start 7th grade, and Nikki will start high school. I'll enjoy it for now, because this is summer vacation. I'm going to my most favorite place in the world...Camp Everything. Of course, everything is not what it seems. I had been asking myself the question: Why now? Why did this have to happen now? That, however, still remains a mystery. I remember when my parents would play with me and spin and around, and all the places we went together, but one morning, they were just...gone. Disappeared out of thin air, I thought. No one had a clue where they were. It's now the day before I go to camp, the same routine every summer. At least I got to see my friends. I sat on my bed, looking at the picture of my mom, dad, Nikki, me, and my grandparents from the picture of when I was just 5 years old. It was Thanksgiving. Tears welled up in my eyes. Would I ever see my parents again? I roughly brushed away my tears, turned off the light, and closed the door. Tomorrow, I was going to Camp Everything. Everything was going to be alright, and everything would be as it was.
