Exploring Hogwarts
A few days after the Sorting Ceremony, Luke was Beginning to like life at Hogwarts.
"1 foot! 1 FOOT! That's like 12 inches or 30.48 centimeters!" I bellowed. We had just been a few days in this school and we were already getting tons of homework! I had stayed in the common-room all of yesterday and I really didn't want to do it again. As I walked Through the annoying always changing staircases.
' I always get lost, and these changing stair cases aren't helping it.' I said to myself.
As I went on my usual Route to the Gryffindor common room I heard a Screeching 'creeeeaaaak'. I looked around and saw that there was a creature moving around in the dark. The flickering lights on the castles tall glamorous walls did not reveal this creature. It surly wasn't human. I broke into a run and chased after the mysterious creature. The creature suddenly realized I was running towards him.
'YAhhrawww' it screamed out of fear!
The mysterious creature started a sprint. I went after it. Left, Right, Left, Left, Right...
I tried to remember the corridors I was taking but to no avail. During the chase I came upon great Halls and entrances. Our chase had gathered a lot of attention also as there were a couple of mere by-standers bewildered by the speed of this haunting. As the creature took a Sharp right turn it stumbled on what seemed to appear as a plant on the floor of a corridor. As it fell I caught up to it and Held him.
I could finally make out what it was. It was a house-elf. it had purplish skin which was superiorly wrinkled compared to mine. The House-elf was about 3 feet tall, and had long Ears and Huge Green Eyes. It was bald.
The House-elf wailed in despair: "I'm Sorry Sir. Mikendilla is Ever so Sorry. I is a BAD ELF. You Shouldn't Have Seen Mikendilla doing her work Sir. I is verrrry Sorry".
I replied: "No Not at all, Mikendilla. I'm Sorry for scaring you and interrupting your work".
"You is too kind to Mikendilla Sir, TOO KIND"
"Nah Don't Mention it"
"Sir, If you'll excuse me, Can I leavs your presence? I have a lots of works to do."
"Ofcourse, Ofcourse you go on and about, See you".
I had completely forgotten about my Homework now. While I was strolling back to the common room, I was thinking about how many other house-elves where in Hogwarts. Could they have a Dormitory Like us. It was in that exact moment when I chose to go visit the library to leanr more about House elves...
