Having Friends Over (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ

Lily had begged her father to let her go to Oliver's house. He was reluctant since he was a uh..friend. She had assured him nothing would happen and she wouldn't do anything stupid. Which was true. They were both too young for one thing. And second she really wanted to go. She had arrived earlier in the day and bought some gifts for the people coming. Right now, Sirin and Ebony were coming. Ebony was a good friend of either Sirin's or Colin's.She forgot. Lily hadn't met her yet. Sirin.... Sirin is fierce but a good friend.Her cousin Colin might come too. Which is exciting.
Lily arrived and waited. When Oliver opened the door she hugged him. "Hello, Oli. I missed you."
She let go and handed him his gift. "I got you something." She had gotten him a new set of wizards chess. "I hope you like it." She said shyly. She looked around. The house was very cozy. Clean and tidy unlike her house. Hers was untidy. Very untidy. Her dad said he didn't mind but she knew when she goes to Hogwarts he probably cleaned it up to keep himself busy when he's not working. He missed her dearly and was sad when she said she was going to Oliver's but he put on a brave face. He wanted her happy after all.

Many things happened at once. The doorbell rang, Olivia nearly dropped the fresh batch of cookies and he was pulled into a hug so tight he couldn’t breathe. “It isn’t much… my parents aren’t here. Work stuff. Oh and this is my sister! Olivi-“ He said but was cut off when Olivia ran into him. “Oh my Gosh! Your from Hogwarts to right? This is so cool I haven’t met anyone from Hogwarts! Except for my brother and mother! Who is your teacher? Is potions hard? Is Hogwarts fun?” she asked excitedly. “Olivia, easy on the questions! She just got here. Come Lily have some cookies!” he said grabbing a plate of cookies. “Made with my- err I mean Our cooking expertise!” Olivia said smiling. “Is Colin coming?” Oliver asked Lily uncertainty. “I am pretty sure he still wants me to burn or whatever he said.” Oliver said. “Here take a seat!” he said leading her to the couch. “A lot of muggle stuff here. My dads a muggle see?” Oliver said pointing at a photo of his dad in a regular soccer game. “Anyways, how was the start of summer for you? No troubles I hope. Oliver said. But at that moment the doorbell rang again.

Sirin had not expected anything exciting. She expected a nice, long, relaxing week of study and....food, perhaps? She expected to sleep in and play with Elysia all day--while sipping a latte from her hand. When the big brown owl arrived with an unexpected letter, Sirin read it hastily. The two kids named Oliver Brown and Lily Brown (funny, were they siblings or something?), whom Sirin met at the cat party on the Hogwarts grounds, had invited her to their house to spend some time. Sirin tried desperately to think of any excuse---socializing with a lot of people was already enough, but staying over was definitely the next level. Besides, she had a whole entire FERRET to take care of. Surely it would be disrespectful to have the innocent creature wreck the poor boy's house? Sirin knew for sure her father definitely did not have the money to pay for repairs. Even then, she decided it wouldn't be too bad to give it a go---certainly if they had invited her, they would have taken the fact that Elysia existed into account.

As she stood in front of the door, holding Elysia in one hand and taking a breath out, (while also grunting under the weight of her oh-so-heavy bags), Sirin knocked on the door. She stood for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for the door to open.
