Ciel was not a busybody, as she would find. Spending most of her life without a huge shopping center nearby, she really wasn't prepared for just how much stuff she would have to buy. Getting measured for robes, trying to find the 'perfect wand', trying to figure out which books were the ones she needed? Sheesh, she was exhausted!
Shopping by herself was not nearly the problem, she didn't want to burden any of her family members with this weird wizard stuff. Reading the list, she still had a 'cauldron' to get, but man was she itching for a break.
As she strolled down through Diagon Alley, something caught her eye. Amidst the magical shops, Ciel saw an ice-cream parlor- yum! Ciel took a quick look at the money she had left, she had been given quite the hefty allowance for this trip, so if she got something sweet, so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get something good!
She strolled into the parlor, and the smell intensified in her nose, she walked up to the counter, behind a little old lady. As she waited for the woman to order, Ciel looked at the menu. All of the flavors were pretty standard and looked incredibly delicious. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry... there was even orange and blueberry!
As the old woman got her ice-cream (chocolate something, maybe?), the man behind the counter waited for Ciel to order. "I just want... um... one scoop of strawberry and one of vanilla, please?" The man gave a short nod to Ciel and began making her cone.
Once she was handed her ice cream, Ciel pondered on where to sit. She could sit inside the shop, where it was air-conditioned, or she could sit outside and enjoy her ice cream while watching the wizards and witches. Ooh! Maybe she'd see a cat or something, too!
Carrying her satchel full of books, Ciel took a seat on one of the tables outside, now she was gonna enjoy some yummy ice cream, and see if she could spot a cat!
