Hexwizard Spectators Thread
The ballroom had changed over the past several days, the doors locked and only the house elves were allowed ingress. During this time, benches more resembling of scaffolding were erected around the perimeter of the ballroom. Silver and black streamers were hung from the ceiling and glittering black and white confetti seemed to flitter from the ceiling but never touch the ground. In the center of the ballroom, the open area that was formerly used for dancing now had three checkered boards placed on the floor like sturdy platforms.Date: Oct 23, 2022

Matches to Spectate: The First Task of the Hexwizard Tournament
Beauxbatons v Durmstrang | Mahoutokoro v Ilvermorny | Hogwarts v Koldovstoretz
Yes, the three matches would be ongoing simultaneously.
Perhaps the intention was the save time, allow all three to transpire simultaneously. Perhaps the intention was to keep things interesting because chess was not known as an action-packed sport although that misconception might vanish by the conclusion of this First Task. Or, the most likely reason -- the narrator only wanted one spectator thread to moderate (hint: the answer is this.)
On game day, the stands were not filled with just Professors and students. Representatives of the media, of the UK Ministry of Magic (MOM), of the varied governing magical bodies abroad such as the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) and the Japanese and French Ministry of Magic and the Magical Duma of the Russian Federation. When the students of Hogwarts entered the ballroom which opened to the student body about an hour before the event, they would find that it was standing room only in the scaffolding around the perimeter of the ballroom.
There was an announcer standing among the three platforms in a heated discussion between himself and three wizards who were also not immediately recognizable. There was a debate between the three of them that even the most curious would not be able to overhear.
About fifteen minutes before the event, a disruption on the far right of the ball in the scaffold stands would result in a rather stout part-goblin being dragged out of the venue by a quartet of house elves. "I have every right to be here! Let go of me, I can walk myself out. You're going to regret this!" What he cried but his protests would fall on deaf ears as he was dragged out of the ballroom.
At 12:00, the doors of the ballroom would close and a bar would be lowered across the pair of massive doors. A jaunty tune would start to play, not that there were minstrels, the enchanted instruments would play the melody on their own.
Vendors would start to scale the sides of the scaffolding, calling out "Butterbeer! Get your butterbeer! By the mug. By the pint. Get your butterbeer!" Vendors were also selling noisemakers, whistles, and confetti poppers. There were sales of snacks, primarily hotdogs, hamburgers and popcorn. Everything was priced absorbently. The highest priced item in the shop was T shirts being sold with the likeness of the school's champions:
✵ Yefim Rumyantsev - played by @Flash Holmwood representing Durmstrang.
✵ Aryaan Shamsi. - played by @Hui Ming representing Mahoutokoro.
✵ Cassanora Browne - played by @Hugh Lowe representing Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.
✵ Miles Thatcher - played by @Simon Kincaid representing Ilvermorny.
✵ Rodion Makarovich - played by @Aurora Ranvier representing Koldovstoretz.
✵ @Howard White - representing Hogwarts The images appeared to have been stolen from images posted in their respective school papers or even the Daily Prophet. The quality was not always the best, neither was the image itself. the back of the shirts would name their school and announce proudly their school pride.

Durmstrang Pride | Mahoutokoro Pride | Beauxbatons Pride | Koldovstoretz Pride | Hogwarts Pride
At 12:15, the doors would open. The six teams: Hogwarts, Koldovstoretz, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, Ilvermorny and Mahoutokoro would be welcomed with a polite applause that quickly quickly crescendo into a deafening roar. There were no designated cheering areas for the various countries of interest, although the students would find themselves corralled onto the topmost levels of the scaffolding with a birds eye view of the event below.
The champions were followed by their "special person" and then the rest of their allies, starting with Hogwarts. Only Howard White the Champion of Hogwarts was not accompanied by his "special person", in fact only @Howard White's name was called and then the rest of his allied roster was announced. Falentra Blacks name was never announced.
Well, either that or Alan Vanes was Howard White's special person. Strange things have happened. There were more names than available spaces for the match, it was safe to presume that some of them were back-ups in case their predecessor got cold feet and decided to back out. The crowd would cheer as their names were called and the group would be motioned towards the board on the far right and they were playing black. Alan was the first allied Hogwarts student to enter the ballroom, so a small rumor would start to mill about that perhaps Alan Vanes is Howard White's special person.
After Hogwarts would come Koldovstoretz, a humble school in comparison to the others but they did not lack for pride. Rodion Makarovich, their chosen champion would be followed by his special person Anastasia Prokovdine (played by @Violet Carrington). It was an ongoing rumor that they might have been dating, others suggesting that they were perhaps blood related. Many were hopeful for the later, the opportunity to be tied to the relative unknown Champion of Koldovstoretz had an appeal for many of the ladies in the stands.
A majority of the allies on this team were female. A surprise for many, exactly how popular was this handsome Koldovstoretz student? The crowd would cheer them on as they made their way to the same board, they were facing off against Hogwarts, the host school for this year's Hexwizard Tournament. There was a great deal of annoyance expressed by their faculty regarding the 'favoritism' of this school in particular. The fact that they were also facing off against monsters, not just men had left some of the allies (perhaps, I wont godmod) on edge. They were playing as white, fitting really, a battle between evil and good. Wizard and monster.
That would fill the far right chess board. Beauxbatons would be next. Casanora Browne, daughter of former Hufflepuff Head of House Caradoc Browne was the Champion of Beauxbatons. Did some people think that there might be a 'conflict of interest' having a French girl with British ties serve as Champion in the Hexwizard Tournament. Yes, of course. How true this is, only time would tell. She would be followed by her special person Madeleine Nakamura (played by @Aaron Jones)... the same person that the original champion @Angélique Colette de Clairmont had named? Yes, how strange. There were murmurs in the audience regarding this fact. Was this in some way cheating? What sort of mess had her family gotten into this time?
The crowd would cheer as their names were called and the group would be motioned towards the board on the far right and they were playing black.
After Beauxbatons would come Durmstrang, a notable school, not for their rigorous academia or their militaristic aesthetic but rather their very loud students. Historical rivals of Hogwarts in particular, they were going to have to now see how well they held their own against the French. Beauxbatons were best known for their skill as broom racers which combined speed and casting with a dangerous obstacle course. Perhaps they would we well-matched against this school. Yefim Rumyantsev, their chosen champion would be followed by his special person Erin Ryan. The girl was unrealistically pretty but there was a strange tension in the pairing.
While the moderator cannot make an assertation before it has happened, it was likely that the cheers would engage some sort of boisterous reflex from the Durmstrang team. They would be pointed towards the white side of the board. Game on. This was a game that everyone was going to be watching.
This would fill the center chess board, leaving only the far left.
Mahoutokoro would make their way into the ballroom. The crowd had not exhausted itself yet cheering for the previous quartet of schools. There was some strange activity associated with this school also. Their Champion was the youngest out of all of the champions, perhaps the youngest in history. The opportunity was also publicly and promptly forfeited by the chosen Champion, Mathias Pride. A foreigner that had no real right to represent Mahoutokoro in the first place according to well -most- sources. It was in rightful, yet young hands and many members of the Asian magical community complained that the choice to give the reigns to Aryaan Shamsi was a ploy to weaken their potential team.
Aryaan Shamsi would be followed by his special person, Hiro Bakugo (played by @Kim Sato). After this duo was a procession of Mahoutokoro students.
The crowd would cheer as their names were called and the group would be motioned towards the board on the far right and they were playing black.
After Mahoutokoro would come Ilvermorny, a gregarious school that also seemed to like to make an appearance even if that was primarily proven by their meddlesome Headmaster Lazarus Plott. The Headmaster was not a popular man in the magical community, his intentions questionable and there was a rather uncomfortable moment between Solomon Lear and the American Headmaster as Professor Plott shot of a green sparks from the end of his wand as if it was a roman candle.
Their champion by comparison was rather muted, Miles Thatcher that is. He would be followed by his special person Olive Adair (played by @Sienna Lenoir).
The crowd would cheer, a few American flags would even be waved as well as the sparse Canadian Maple Leaf. Team Ilvermorny would be pointed towards the white side of the board.
Meanwhile, while all of this was happening there would be something of remote interest in the stands. The house elves were milling about the far right of the stands murmuring something about SCAR before looking around and noticing -you- as in the posters of this thread and then gesturing to one another that they need to get out of there. They would make their way to the announcer and there would be a debate that was too distant for even the most curious of students. [Save you the effort, this is way too far away to 'read lips' with.]

Naturally Clair was both excited and curious about the first task of the Hexwizard tournament.
She had not gone into the ball room very much, but having not been able to go inside the room had only made her want to be inside there more.
The Ravenclaw had been waiting to gain access to the ballroom for about a hour. She had brought snacks (lots of them) and money (not as much of it as snacks though). And of course she had her wand on her. With all the schools swarming around Clair felt like she was not as safe as she normally was.
As soon as she was able, Clair rushed into the ball room, which looked completely different.
The fact that there were adults other then the normal school staff was weird, and Clair wondered why there was such a abundance of them. She quickly bought a Hogwarts T-shirt and pulled it on over top of the shirt which she had worn there.
Clair got settled and decided not to buy any treats, not yet at least. She had all the snacks she needed. Plus, everything was overly priced anyways, she would survive without them just fine.

@NoneHouse Colours: GryffindorAh, so it was now time for the main attraction of October. Forget the fall ball and its subsequent falling outs, this was the show that everyone had been looking forward to. The interschool showdown.
Bouncing his heel on the ground as he sat with high anxiety in his blood, the boy found himself watching the going ons and arounds with keen green eyes. He liked crowds. It made it easier for him to slip into and hide among them. That being said, he also quite despised crowds, especially when they were crowded and claustrophobic. He didn't like loud noises, the constant and incessant buzzing of the words of others that neither had meaning or definition. They were just sounds. Meaningless sounds that cut through his head and ruined his own thoughts.
Romeo was on one of these teams, he considered to himself quietly. He was going to be playing against that French school. Fingers threading through Figaro's fur, the Britalian's head snapped towards the sound of loud complaints just in time to observe a part-goblin being ushered out... by house elves?
Since when did those guys have jurisdiction over anyone else? I mean, the boy wasn't complaining, perhaps they had their reasons... but if he had learned anything from his almost four years here thus far, it was that one should never trust anything that was noticed at first glance. There was always something just below the surface, something malicious and evil just waiting to spring out. Over time, the boy had found that the only person that he actually trusted with his entire heart was his dearest cat, Figaro. Figaro didn't judge the boy, didn't try to betray or hurt him... didn't leave him. "Sei un bravo ragazzo, vero, Figgy? You're a good boy, aren't you, Figgy?" He murmured to his kitten in his mother tongue as he petted the silver bengal a bit harder, scratching under the cat's chin the way that he knew that he liked it. The bengal's mint eyes half closed as a half meow-half purr escaped the feline and elicited a weak smile from Piérre. He had still been feeling quite under the weather for the entire year since September, but had not dared to bring it up with the Nurse.
The boy had seen the Nurse only sparingly, but following a time when a girl had randomly fallen unconscious in the corridors and had been thereafter toted off to the Hospital Wing. Based on the boy's prior history with some of the nurses, the Britalian never went to the Hospital Wing unless absolutely necessary, and even then he tried to make himself scarce and unnoticeable so that he would not have to entertain conversation or potential accidental slippage of important information with them. Short and sweet; Piérre did not trust the news, Piérre did not trust the nurse, Piérre did not trust this event.
So why the heck was he here?
Mostly... for his brother.
It had been almost six months since he had entertained civil conversation with his sibling... and... he missed his brother-- his own twin.
He wanted to be here to support him.
His fingers brushed against a closed jackknife-looking item, something that he had purchased in Hogsmede the week prior to this event. Allegedly, it was able to pick any non-magical lock.
Piérre was more concerned and satisfied with the fact that it was a knife. At least he would have something other than a wand to protect himself with if he ended up disarmed or muted. The only reason he had not brought his invisibility cape was because he was working on trying to get the enchantments reapplied to it after its use in the Fall Ball around two weeks ago. It would be a while before it would be up and in action... so the boy would have to rely on his ability to blend in and appear "mundane" compared to the crowd.
This would hopefully be made much easier because of his decision to remove all the former Crinus Muto enchantments on his hair and allow his natural chestnut hue to make itself known. It made him look common, and so long as he stayed quiet and disinteresting, perhaps there would be a chance that he would come away from this event with minimal scarring.
Piérre craned his neck as the Durmstrang team emerged, and green eyes spotted one of the tallest members on their team; the russet haired and cerulean-eyed Romeo that Piérre knew from miles away. The boy felt his heart jump for a moment at the sight of his twin-- how he wanted to run out of the stands so that he could collide with his strong brother and encircle him in a hug that would not be removed short of someone dragging the Britalian away from the entire team and ejecting him from the room-- but he caught himself and resigned himself to swallowing away the rising bile and saliva in his mouth and looking back down at his cat as heat prickled at his back. His short sleeved red and white striped shirt and black suspenders attached to jean pants made him look not terribly unlike a funny "Where's Waldo" sort of character... but perhaps that worked in his favor; pursuing to be a difficult-to-spot face in the crowd.
Whatever came of this... he had to make sure that first and foremost... that Romeo would be safe.

Aggie couldn't quite believe it. It was finally happening. The first of three showdowns. The ballroom was packed with people. Officials, from all competing countries, it looked like it filled the stands. Students and other adults also filled the stands, and Agata was glad she had got here slightly early to get a good spot. She could see as the officials took their spots, announcer were getting ready, and even at one point, when a part-goblin, she wasn't entirely sure, was dragged out, kicking and screaming. Even though all three matches were occurring simultaneously, the only one she cared about was the match against Durmstrang. Castelobruxo didn't have a champion in the Tournament, and so Agata felt she could cheer for anyone. Anyone else than Durmstrang. Ever since that fateful first day during the Welcome feast, she had her heart set against the militaristic Bulgarian school. Who set out to antagonise others before even knowing them? Only because Castelobruxo were here with no champion. In her opinion, it was better. They would wait and see how this Tournament progressed before opening themselves up for something catastrophic. And Agata couldn't deny it. The Hex Wizard Tournament has a rather famous history for things going awry. Truly, she wasn't even sure if this event would be drama-free, with all the events that had unfolded leading up to this.
As she sat in her seat, the girl watched as all six teams made her way out. Perhaps she would go for Beauxbatons, the opposing team to Durmstrang? Yes, that would do. Better than Hogwarts, the dreary weather and castle not inspiring any warmth to cheer them on. As she watched the Durmstrang champion, Yefim, that's his name, she narrowed her eyes. Gods, she hoped they lost. Maybe she would buy one of those t-shirts going around with his face on it, and deface it? It would give her something to do whilst she waited.

─────Astrid arrived excitedly in the room. She was leaving for Durmstrang the next day but she would still have the chance to attend the first task of the Hexwizard Tournament. She was not wearing her Durmstrang T-shirt, but had spent the whole evening sewing various patches - that Charles had given her during the summer - on her jacket. A Durmstrang patch was now sewn onto her right shoulder and a Horntail Horde patch was on the left shoulder of her jacket. Astrid had also brought back a banner with encouragement written in English and Russian.
─────The girl had almost been part of the team and she totally understood the decision that had finally been taken. She was younger and less experienced than the others. Astrid had therefore decided to encourage them as much as possible. She went to sit next to the only person she knew in this room, Piérre, Romeo's cousin if Astrid had understood everything.
─────Astrid had entered with a smile on her face, a smile which disappeared when she saw Piérre's face. Ok, Romeo was his cousin, and there was a microscopic percentage of chance of dying, but that was no reason to make that face. The Durmstrang Quidditch team - a good part of the Horntail Horde - was like a second family to Astrid, and she wasn't afraid for them. Of course, anything could happen, but she had confidence in their abilities.
─────— Hey! Are you okay?

Raul whistled a gaudy little tune as he sauntered through the stands, his hands deep in the pockets of his beloved Castelobruxo uniform. He’d opted to wear it in an utterly inappropriate and informal way, the buttons of the white linen shirt lay open, leaving it to flap idly. Fortunately, he had the good sense to wear a white singlet beneath, preventing accusations of indecency. Still, the event so far had not drawn his interest nor his respect, he saw no need to give it the honour of being dressed appropriately.
Deliberately ignoring any and all of the goings on down below, be it beleaguered half-breeds or cocky Russians, Raul made his way to the only other Castelobruxo student he recognised. A younger girl he’d barely spoken to, but she’d made his acquaintance well enough at the introduction of the schools and then the ball. Fiery, at least.
Ceasing his whistle, perhaps the most loathed student in all of wizarding Brazil slid into the seat next to the girl.
“Fuckin’ disgrace, isn’t it?” He asked, half-rhetorically, as he leant back and into his seat, “The whole affair, really. Some kind of political ploy to live up to the traditional Triwizard, but what do they get, teams and half-breeds? Russian barbarians and Japanese children?”
The third child of the Mirales Correa line tapped his fingers idly against his leg, his eyes shifting toward the Durmstrang match, first to the team with whom he’d scrapped, and then to their French opponents.
“Can’t say I’m sad we didn’t send a team.”

Only a few students had joined the designated spectator area, and Agata was glad for it. It made for better viewing. Especially of the Durmstrang team. Clutching her green poncho closer, she leaned down to watch as both teams made their way out onto the board. Both European schools had an air of determination about them, although with the change of French champion, the Durmstrang team seemed more solid, much to Agata's chagrin.
Although it was only the start of the First Task, Agata had mostly accepted that she would watch alone. This surprisingly would not be the case. One infamous Mirales Correa boy joined her, coming to sit in the seat beside her in such a languid manner that bordered on disrespect. To be honest, Agata wasn't surprised. Raul had made no effort to hide his disgust of the other schools. And why should he. He was right. Castelobruxo was the best.
Sliding a half-smile his way, Agata eyed him in her peripheral. He sat idly dressed in the school uniform, if she could call it that, not paying much attention to the happening down below. Something that Agata found strange. Surely, he would want to see which school came out on top?
Even though Agata recognised that he spoke Portuguese, she understood the gist of what he was saying. She hoped it was the same in reverse. "If you mean the sorry disgrace down below than yes." She leaned forward a bit to watch the Durmstrang team closer. She turned back at the next words. "Really? I am in a way. That way we could show all the other schools up." Even though politeness and kindness had been drilled into her from a young age, Agata knew that the other schools wouldn't have been a match for the South American students.

Interactions are strongly encouraged, I live for drama!
The Hexwizard tournament was a huge event, so many people seemed to be looking forward to it ever since it had been announced. Originally, Alec had been looking towards it with an optimistic approach. After what had been last year's blossom ball Alec had rather valid concerns about what the Hexwizard tournament was causing, what it was really ecouraging. It was upsetting to watch. Howard White being the Hogwarts champion was huge, though Alec held his reservations about Howard being held in the spotlight. The media had a way of twisting things, Alec could only wonder if it was another of those things that would do more harm than good. Months later and Alec still held the same worries in the back of his mind. Despite Alec's worries, he knew full well he had plans to attend. He wasn't sure he'd enjoy it, crowded spaces weren't the most fun place to be, let alone how he'd quiet his nerves long enough to get into it. He was there for observing, and observe he would do.
While the Gryffindor had figured the room would be packed if he didn't arrive early, Alec didn't want to wait in a crowded space for an hour. Alec had been slightly all over the place these last few weeks. It didn't seem like a good idea to give himself an hour where he was highly likely to get himself into some sort of mess. He had arrived 16 to 17 minutes before the event was set to start, everything seemed to be going fine, for now. Alec let out a breath of relief though it was a breath he'd let out far too soon. Alec had only walked to take a seat when out of the corners of his eyes he would begin to notice someone being pulled from their own. Alec's eyebrows furrowed, frowning as they were pulled out despite their protest. What did they do? Why weren't they allowed to stay? Why did Alec hear nobody else saying something?
If someone was being out one would expect the circumstances reasonable, it was different, given the situation, Alec couldn't expect it was reasonable. Not when a half-goblin was being dragged out. Why were they made to leave? Alec had a strong sense of justice, even in his own opposition he didn't see what he could do how he could step in, all of it had happened so fast. It didn't give Alec hope towards the day ahead. Unsettled, Alec kept to himself as the matches were set to start. Taking a deep Alec took a deep breath. He listened to the announcer as the event began, however, he was unable to pull his mind from what he had witnessed.
Nearby him Alec would hear a pair of Castelobruxo students chatting(@Nicholas McCowan, @Beatrice Langstreth), his eyes flickered towards the group. He could hear the murmur of words between the two in an ongoing conversation. Alec would find himself unable to make out a word, they weren't speaking english of course he was not going to understand. It was probably for the best, it would have been nosy to listen in on their conversation anyway(did a roll for Alec's reed wand with his 25% chance of understanding. raul got luckyif alec had overheard, he was def going to start some fights.).
“I still can't believe...” The Gryffindor whispered to himself trailing off as he looked to the side. He had conveniently sat by a fellow Hogwarts student(@Clair Fernandez), what were the odds? Clad in other of the t-shirts the vendors were selling, you could still see her robes underneath. “Hey,” Alec spoke in order to grab her attention, she seemed to be absorbed in the scene and everything going on. “I'm not just imagining things and you saw that too right? There was no way I was the only one.” Alec wearily glanced at the entrance to the ballroom than back to the stranger. “The person was half-goblin, I think, but did you see the way the house elves were dragging them out? Merlin, it was terrible.” Even if something had been done to warrant the person's removal Alec couldn't understand why the process had not been dealt with more professionally.
ReducioSide note: Alec has made no effort to hide the ways his lips look. His lips were strangely dark with darker lines extending from his mouth, It resembles the curse that students had in the past. In other words, Alec has some funky looking lips rn feel free to bully him about it.Trunk Link

@Kim SatoThe night before…
i should at least warn Kim… let me write him a letter. Twinkle needs her evening walk, she can take the note to Griffindor
Taking a piece of paper out of her notebooks Bailey scribbled a note to Kim. It read:
ReducioDear Kim,
So you know the Hexwizard tournament part one tomorrow? So I was planning to go but… I wanted to make sure I had a friend, so I’m dragging you along. I’ll have snacks, don’t worry, and feel free to bring your own. Anyway, have a good night!!! I’ll meet you by the entrance of the Griffindor common room half an hour before the first match starts, does that work?
Ay, that doesn’t matter. I’ll be there, and if you aren’t… we’ll I have some friends in Griffindor who probably would be more than willing to get you to come out- especially if I bribe them with candy or food.
Anyways, good night!! See you tomorrow!
-hugs-
Much love,
Bailey
*******************
Getting dressed, Bailey was excited. She was planning on dragging Kim to the tournament, as her letter had said.
Arriving at the entrance to the Griffindor common room exactly when she said she would, Bailey waited for Kim. When he arrived Bailey grabbed his arm and hauled him towards the ballroom where the tournament would be hosted.
Once almost there, Bailey slowed her Pace.
“Let’s get some lunch!” Bailey said, heading towards the vendors after they had entered the ballroom. Turning, Bailey looked to see if Kim was following her.
If he was or was not, Bailey slipped her hand into his and pulled him towards the vendor selling butterbeer.
Handing him enough gold for two butterbeers, Bailey got the drinks and handed one to Kim.
“My treat! Thanks for agreeing to come with me!”
Next Bailey grabbed some more change, and bought a thing of popcorn for her and Kim to share. After she had purchased that, she dragged Kim and their food to the stands. Sitting down, Bailey turned to Kim. Smiling, Bailey said “Really, thanks for coming. It means a lot!”
Then bailey brightened even more.
“Also….” she said, rummaging through her bag.
“I brought you this-“ she handed him a marshmallow filled biscuit sandwich.
“I have one for myself as well- I got it in Hogsmead, they’re really good. I have some other candy too, for us fo munch on!”

Hexwizard Spectators Thread

────────────────────────────────────────It had hadn't even been two months and the school year already felt as though it was off to a wild start. Quidditch, a ball, an apparently very high-profile tournament. Add classwork on top and it certainly felt a little overwhelming. What a year to start off at the Scottish school. Avery would be hard-pressed to let any of it go to waste though, determined to make the most of her time amongst the wizarding world.
Naturally, she'd heard the mutterings and talk of the tournament right from that very first night. Despite this, she still knew next to nothing about how it was to all come together. And so with the extra time that students were given to spectate, the first year found herself stepping hesitantly into the ballroom where she'd heard the first of three tasks were to take place. Just in time, it would seem, to spot a part-goblin being forcibly escorted out. Huh.
Taking no more than a few seconds to scan the stands Avery quickly crosses towards a still partially empty section. Dodging around the various vendors hawking snacks or t-shirts that seemed to be a bit of a rush job, she settles down near a handful of other students talking amongst themselves. Idly listening to the buzz of chatter around her, the first year casually swings her legs back and forth. Guess she could finally get an idea of what wizard's chess was like. Skewed as it may be.────────────────────────────────
