CL A Train Ride to Hogwarts Open

Rebecca was finally going to Hogwarts. She had looked forward to this day ever since her first accident of accidental magic had caused her Aunt Sally to tell Rebecca that she was magical. Rebecca’s cousin, Arabella, had already told Rebecca so many tales of Hogwarts, from the professors to the classes to some of the people in Ara’s year. Rebecca had listened intensely to each and every one of these stories, excited for her chance to attend the school she had heard so much about. And now she was finally hear. The excitement of going to Hogwarts still burned brightly in her chest, but it was dimmed by the nervousness of leaving the comfort of her old life and the sadness of having to say goodbye to her aunt and her mom. Arabella was a third year, so her goodbyes were quick as she ran off to find her friends. But Rebecca was on the verge of tears as she hugged her mother tightly. Rebecca sniffled and said, “I’ll write to you. Every day if you want.” Rebecca tilted her head upwards to look her mom in her eyes as she said this. Her mom nodded and kissed Rebecca on her forehead, and then Rebecca hugged her aunt. “I’ll write to you too. Promise.” Her aunt smiled at her and said, “I look forward to it.” Rebecca then stepped away and with one more “I love you” to her mom, she walked towards the train, she turned around and waved to her aunt and her mom one last time on the steps, and then walked onto the train. Rebecca could feel the excitement burning inside her chest again, and she smiled as she started to look for a compartment. Somehow, she was able to find an empty one near the middle of the train. She sat down and wondered what to do on the long train ride. Rebecca started to reach into her trunk to grab a book, when her head snapped up as she heard the compartment door slide open.
