Hello
My name is Maggie Aelyn. I am a female first-year Ravenclaw. Ever since I started at Hogwarts, I've felt a little lonely. People talk to me but I don't have many friends.
I got an idea when I wrote a letter to a person I thought was the owner of the owl that was attacking me (story at the bottom of the letter), and the owl gave it to some random person. What if i befriend someone over letters? I myself think it is quite a smart idea. We can share advice and talk. You don’t even have to give any personal information. For all I care, I can call you ‘Cat’. I just want a friend. If this interests you, please owl me back as soon as possible!
Okay so, the owl I talked about- It was some days ago, and I were just sitting outside when I suddenly got attacked by an owl. It seemed to calm down once I wrote something in my notebook so I just wrote a letter and attached it to the owl. It didn’t get to the owner but some random person. I like to think we became friends.
PS:I promise that my owl is not violent!

I’m doing really well! I’m super excited to be at Hogwarts. Although it was hard to leave my mom and my aunt behind, but at least my cousin goes to Hogwarts too, but she’s a third year Ravenclaw. My family’s pretty cool, my mom’s a professional ballet dancer and my aunt works as a healer at St. Mungo’s. I don’t have many friends, although I would love to make more. How about you? How have you been? Was it hard for you to leave your family and friends? What’s your family like? Do you have many friends? And don’t apologize for the questions, it’s nice to talk to someone!

Helloooo!
I’m great! It was a little hard to leave my family behind. I have never been away from them for this long before. But I guess I have to get used to it, it’s not much I can do.
My family is normal but not, if you get what I mean? I have no idea of what their jobs are actually. I’ve never thought of asking. They are pretty nice. I can talk to my mom about anything and my dad always helps me when I need it. I am an only-child but my best friend is kind of my sister. Her mom is often traveling, so she stays with us in the meantime.
No I don’t have many friends. I am starting get a few though! Including you:)

I have a very fun game we should play! It is a game I used to play with Gracie(my best friend) to get to know each other even more. Here are the rules:

I love the Nevermoor series! If my memory serves me right, the next book in the series is coming out in October, correct? And we both have oversized hoodies as our favorite piece of clothing! So that’s one thing we have in common. Lasagna is also really good, my mom makes it sometimes and it’s delicious. Wingardium Leviosa is a good choice for favorite spell, it’s very useful. Charms is also probably my second favorite class, I’d have to go with Herbology for my first favorite.
I would love to meet up with you someday! It’s really fun talking to you, and I’m sure it would be even better in person!

I'm really sorry that it took me so long to reply. I was focused on school and forgot all about you. I hope that you will forgive me for that. I first remembered when I found your last letter on my desk.
If you are available on 21.12.22, I would love to meet you! If not I can try to clear out my schedule. Does the library sound like a good 'first-time meeting' spot? I have to pick up some new books soon anyway.

To be honest, I’ve fallen behind on some of my social correspondents too because I’ve been focusing on my studies. I’m not super smart and some classes come hard to me so I work hard to do my best in all my pursuits.
