Why did she feel this way? She walked fast, it seemed like forever. She had been in Hogwarts for only a few days yet the changes she had faced concerning her every day life were overwhelming. She had only attended a few classes where she sat quietly in the last row and didn't really speak to anyone. The lessons were neither interesting nor entirely boring, they passed like the clouds as the hours went by.

Her small efforts in socializing had been somewhat sucessful but one could say it wasn't what she expected. But really what did she expect? Her mind was blowing up with these unanswered questions. So many people, so little talk, it was frustrating.

She knew she was a little different and maybe not in a good way since she had been pretty much locked away her entire life with no previous experiences shared with other people except her family. She suddenly felt like her own little world had fallen to pieces and now she was out there, alone.

She breathed in the fresh air that hit her face as she stepped outside. It was almost sunset and she knew she couldn't stay for long but inside she felt like she was suffocating. She blinked a few times before looking around spotting a tree in a short distance from her. She walked her way up to the tree and sat down on the grass leaning back against it's trunk.

I was taking a run when I saw a girl leaning against a tree.

'Is she okay? Maybe I should go check...'

After taking, like, 5 minutes to decide whether I would go over to her, I did. I slowly walk over to the tree she was sat under. The sunlight through the leaves was so, so pretty. Little golden flakes of light, with the dark shadows of the leaves beside them.

"Are you okay? I-I just wanted to make sure..."

I sit and stare at the girl, waiting for a reply. 'She is pretty' I think to myself, 'but she could put it in a little up do. Maybe a cheerleader's high pony would work. Um...should I leave her here?'

With still no response from the girl, I turn around to walk off, but then I see a higher year Slytherin headed my way, so I get on the other side of the tree trunk. Far enough away from the girl to not bother her, but still to where the Slytherin could not see me.

"Uh...hi, my name is Alecks, Alecksander Power. W-What's your name? And if you don't mind me asking these next two questions...What house were you  sorted into? And what's your blood status?"

I look at her, hoping I haven't completely just weirded her out.
