Kayla had planned to visit Diagon Alley with her friend, Athena, just the weekend before. Since they were planning on buying some exploding bon bons for a little something they were doing at the school. Kayla had also just gotten a pet ferret that week, and she thought it would be a nice idea to bring Squeaky along, as she mostly just liked snoozing in her bag, no trouble, right? The ferret was mostly active late at night, meaning Kayla had to stay up to play with her little animal, who became very hype after seven.

Kayla had her bag slung over her shoulder, which contained the sleeping ferret, a bag of money and a bunch of other things she had never bothered to take out. She had decided to wear a plain white shirt (unusual) and a pair of her favorite blue jeans, which were splattered with paint from past...projects. She immedietly recognised her fellow short-haired friend a few feet away, examining a set of gobstones.
"Athena!" Kayla said happily, giving her friend a hug as she approached the shorter girl.
"How're you? It seems like ages away since I've last seen you! You're still short though." Kayla added with a smile, releasing her friend from the bear hug.

Athena had, as usual, come way to early, and had been waiting for Kayla for 15 minutes already. She didn't understand how she always was early! But transportation doesn't take as long if you do it the magic way, so maybe that's the reason. She had closely inspected a few different sets of gobstones to try and find the best one. Unfortunantly it was a bit hard seeing any differnece on the outside of the packet. When she was just about to move on to the next set she heard a voice behind her.
"Athena!" She turned around, smiling, and gave Kayla a big hug.
"How're you? It seems like ages away since I've last seen you! You're still short though." she smiled, releasing Athena.
"Excuse me!" she answered in a fake offended tone.
"At least I'm not the one who are late!" she huffed. The huff turned into giggling.
"Anyways, you got Squeaky with you?" Ever since Kayla told her about her pet ferret Athena had been desperate to meet her. She loved all animals, well except for spiders (disgusting), and ferrets were auper cute. She was thinking of buying her own pet some time, probably a cat, since they were her favourite animal. Just to bad that you aren't allowed to have two pets, since an owl would come in handy too.

"Oh, I'm so sorry madam! I deeply apologise for being late; how very sorry I am," Kayla said sarcastically, bowing to Athena.
Kayla wasn't surprised when Athena asked about Squeaky, as Athena had expressed her wanting to meet the little ferret. Kayla grinned and reached into her bag and poked her ferret's stomach gently. Squeaky poked her head out of the bag and rested on the brim of the bag, sticking out her tongue and resuming her nap.
"Lazy, this one is. She doesn't like to be active during the day, she likes it when it's darker, don't you, Sleepyhead?" Kayla rubbed her ferret's head lightly before turning back to Athena.
"Thinking of buying gobstones?" Kayla never understood how to play, she had tried to learn while watching, it was rather similar to the muggle game marbles, but she couldn't place her mind on how to play it. Wizarding games weren't very easy, she knew that. She could barely wrap her mind out of playing quidditch or broom racing. But she watched either way, it could be entertaining.
"You ever going to get a pet, Thena? I can imagine you with an owl, or, ooh, a rabbit!" The rabbit was rather random, but Kayla could picture it.
