Carried You With Me

I really love my hometown. I carry that with me. (Madeline Brewer)

Sherlock was homesick. Brazil was nice and Castelobruxo was not bad; at home, it was not unusual for the boy to put his hands over his ears, tried and failed, through tears, to block out the voices of his mother and father arguing and shouting. However, there were a couple of things he missed as well.
His sister Milady was one; she was his best friend, the one person to whom he could tell the things that meant most to him and not judging him. Some other kids in the neighbourhood were all right, too. Sherlock sometimes played football with them even though he was not that interested in the sport, but he kept on doing because it made him happy to see the approving smile on his mother's face whenever he asked this parents' permission to leave the house when it was "football time". And then there was Xavi, his best friend number two. Let us not forget about food...
Sherlock felt lucky that he had no problem with the food served here at school, but there could be no denying that there were times when he missed Belizean cuisines. He would learn to cook some by himself, but first he had to find out if this was allowed in school. Or maybe he could figure out how to cook Belizean food using magic? Was it hard?

Having eyes, but not seeing beauty; having ears, but not hearing music; having minds, but not perceiving truth; having hearts that are never moved and therefore never set on fire - these are the things to fear.
