For some time now, Sylvie had stayed hunched down at the bed of the Great Lake, the water just barely covering her once clean shoes. Muck and sludge caked fiery hair, the hem and backside of her uniform skirt having been soiled just as thoroughly. Just... Disheveled no matter how you slice it.

It was a ghastly look, but the young lady was long past the point of caring about an opinion so insignificant. There were other serious matters at hand, that of which comprised the shallow pail that sat with her on her left. Occasionally, she’d drop something in it. Maybe she was catching bait so she could fish? Behavior belonging to someone who just graduated into their fourth year, right? Not quite.

Her hands kept themselves busy fishing around in the lake for tadpoles, and once in a while she’d drop an odd frog in there. Just for the giggles. Now, what she was working out to do with these frogs was another riddle, because there was just no way she needed so many tadpoles.

“We’re running out of ‘poles... I think we only need a few more.” She lowered herself even further to the water’s surface. Presumably to see better...

Elias wasn't sure what exactly had brought him to come to the lake that day. In fact, the now not so young Ravenclaw was often left perplexed when it came to matters involving Sylvie. For starters, she was a weirdo, but not only that, he had a sneaking suspicion the girl was obsessed with him. Wherever he went, it seemed her beady eyes and grubby hands followed. And yet, here he was following her about the lake. Perhaps he'd agreed to spend the day with her in the hopes it would dissuade the girl from following him for at least a little while, or perhaps Thomas had somehow convinced him whatever it was they were getting up to was a good idea.

Nonetheless, whatever the reason was, young Mister Weare was here, watching on in... disgust... as Sylvie fished for more 'poles' as she put it. For a very brief moment the boy thought she was talking about people from Poland, though thankfully he realized quite how stupid that was before he said anything about it aloud. Instead, he asked something far more logical, "Sylvie..." He spoke, breaking his silence with a sound of what could only be described as sheer disappointment, "What exactly do you plan on doing with all these tadpoles?"

Sylvie looked into her bucket of little wrigglers, with a smile. This seemed like enough! It was actually probably a little bit excessive for her plan, but that wasn't really important to her at the moment. She got up out of the mud with a squelch, skipping over to Elias. "They're for snack time, of course!" ... What? Now it was no secret that Sylvie had long since flow off the handle after witnessing the horrors of her previous school ball. The vile visuals of Erin's teeth being broken through as she spewed hag-slugs was... Traumatizing to say the least. And Sylvie hadn't bothered to ask her parents for a therapist! Now, a mentally ill teenager with unregulated emotions and severe impulse control was never the... Best thing. But surely she didn't mean her plan in the literal sense. Surely.

She shoved the bucket into his hands. The tadpoles would like little wriggling apple seeds with how many there were in there... Slimy, nasty apple seeds. "Just hold this, I gotta see if I can sneak into the kitchen for like... Uh. What do people season these with? Salt and pepper?" Oh... No, she definitely meant it literally. Good lord.

Eli couldn't help but cringe at the noise the mud made as Sylvie rose from it. It was horrible. Terrible, even. Any other word you can think of to describe something putrid... if a noise could be putrid. Unfortunately for the boy, the list of horrible things did not end there, as Sylvie followed the noise with an even more revolting proposition; she was going to eat the tadpoles. Left somewhere between wanting to immediately throw up and wanting to get as far away from this girl as possible, the Ravenclaw steeled his stomach and just bore his eyes into her. She had always been odd, but this just seemed too much. She was too old to be doing things like this.

"I- What- No?" Elias tried to protest but before he knew it the bucket of 'Poles was being forced upon him and Sylvie was asking what they should season them with. Nothing! They should season them with absolutely nothing. "I am not eating a tadpole. Never in my life. Never." The thought of it once more brought him to the brink of being sick as he looked down upon the bucket of wrigglies now in his hands. There was no way this was even ethical... the poor tadpoles hadn't even got the pleasure of turning into frogs yet. What a horrible, nasty, vile mind this girl had.
