Jonathan scampered through the book store excitedly grabbing all the books on his list. It was going to be his first year at Hogwarts and he could hardly sit still. He wanted to make sure he had everything. His mother watched him from the counter as he ran through the shop, "Oh, here's A History of Magic! And there's Hogwarts: A History! Oh, look mum, that one's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!" He was like a boy possessed, his arms overflowing with books. Finally he came up beside his mother and dumped his armful of books onto the counter. "Whew, that was a workout." He exclaimed. "Your missing one." Said the shop keeper. "Huh? I thought I got them all. What's missing?" The shop keeper tapped the pile of book and said, "The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection." Jonathan went back to shelves, scanning each one. "It's not here." He said. "Impossible" said the shop keeper. "I always make sure there are plenty in stock at the start of the school year. It's required reading you know." Jonathan nodded. "Yes, I know but it really isn't here." The shop keeper sighed. "Check the used book section boy. If there aren't any new ones you'll have to make do." Jonathan frowned a bit. He really didn't like the idea of starting his first year with an old and dusty used book but he wasn't a spoiled child and new better than to pout over something that couldn't be helped. He went to browse the used section and sure enough there was one left. He picked it up and flipped through the pages. There was minimal dog earing and only a few notes in the margins. He actually felt pretty lucky and smiled as he brought it to the counter. "That's a good lad. " The shop keep stated and he rang up the order.
