As Tsubaki browsed the stores along the street, she came upon one with many kinds of animals.
Taking out her letter she skimmed through it and the part talking about pets caught her eye.
"I know just the one," she muttered to herself as she entered the store. Seeing the shopkeeper she approached them, asking about the types of owls they had. In her mind, an owl would be perfect given the fact that they could deliver letters for her when she needed them to, they also happened to be one of her favorite kinds of birds. She was particularly fond of the snowy owls, they reminded her of the mountains where her family had lived before her father had passed away. She had many fond memories of that time.
Snapping back to reality, she spotted just that kind of owl with the help of the shopkeeper," Here you are miss, a snowy owl just like you wanted," the shopkeeper mused at her. She smiled at the shopkeeper and looked at the owl," thank you for your help, I will take this one." She had thought of the perfect name for the owl too, Yue. It was short, yet sweet and easy for her and the owl both to remember. She paid the shopkeeper and smiled as she left with her new pet and companion, Yue the snowy owl.
