The Comb
Augustus entered the shop, looking for something nice to buy for a change.
See, he had only gone there once, for the first time in his life, to buy some cloaks and whatnot for the coming school year. But the thing was, he had finished his shopping, which meant time to buy something else not on the list.
Augustus had the messiest hair a child could have. Anything he did to it, nothing would make it go away. He needed something too well, to get rid of it! So, he figured Madam Malkins might sell something to him that'd help, right?
He entered the shop, which was so decorated that you could've sworn you were in a mini-mansion. Displays of beautiful clothing, beautiful jewelry, you name it.
Now, Augustus was fazed. But he had his heart set on something he could afford.
He saw something on a golden-glass display, with a board glued onto it, in gold letters: "Comb Of Vanity". He rushed over to it.
It was beautiful. The comb was purple, and it had flowers over it. Plus, the prize was something he could very much afford. He couldn't leave without it. So, he rushed over and purchased it.
When he got outside, he took the comb out of the small gold bag and said quietly to himself, "Neat, perfect hair."
He swept the comb into the dark tresses of his hair, and with a simple stroke, it worked. It turned his hair into a beautifully neat, perfect look.
Still, he felt like it was better for an occasion. Smiling to himself, he commanded the comb to return his hair to normal, and went away, feeling pleased with himself.
