It was hard to say whether one could describe Yefim as 'proud,' it was clear that he was conceited and overblown about his ability, yet he showed great humility and parity in his relationships. Whether an insult would be ignored or garner his full attention seemed to depend entirely on what the insult was targeting. Naturally, if any of his crew were insulted or hurt, then hell hath no fury like a dragon scorned. If it was about his intelligence or strength, there was no point in making a fuss. He had no room in his chiseled body for insecurity, as he was the closest thing a mortal could get to being a god. It would be difficult to get under his skin, when most of his childhood had been riddled with ridicule. Now that he was named champion and was surrounded by people who made his life fun and interesting, even greater disgraces could be easily forgotten, as he was simply too busy having a good time.

However, when the young Durmstrang dancer Elizaveta shyly approached him, she whispered about the Mahoutokoro champion, who had apparantly been talking shit about him despite their lack of acquaintance. Normally, Yefim would only see this as a fear reaction, something this 'Aryaan' did in order to placate his intense nerves at facing down a celestial being. However, the point of contention managed to be hard to ignore. It wasn't about his smarts, his English speaking skills, his upcoming broom racing match, or even his brutish behavior. He was saying that Yefim was nothing without his entourage, that he was a coward that hid behind them.

This would not go ignored. Of course, Yefim had never been alone, not since he and Mik became inseperable during their first year. There was nothing wrong with accruing power through amassing minions, it made life much more entertaining. The indignity would be the insinuation that their absence would neuter the god. How very little this shrimp understood. The bonds he forged were not ones of dependance, but spiritual perfection. They gave power to him even when they were not present, like a piece of their soul swimming forever in the nebula of chaos being nursed inside his chest. Of course this child couldn't understand. Yefim would show him.

It was not hard to find him, he was a minor celebrity now with the advent of the Hexwizard Tournament. Yefim would step up to the geek and flick him on the ear to get his attention. ”Hey. Yani.”

If this worked to get the younger boy's attention, Yefim would stand there akimbo and smug. Though initially Yefim had been outraged, the sight of the frail little waif would excite Yefim in the anticipation of his inevitable demise. ”I hear you say things. We can test, you and me. Alone.”
