Waiting...and waiting  closed
Winter Rhodesse was sitting in the Leaky Cauldron, which was as usually busy and full of life. Winter was playing with her cardigan as she took a sip of her Butterbeer. She was waiting for her friend.

Winter was a shy girl, with her hair now done in a french braid that looked like a bun slightly. She smiled to herself as she thought of her new magazine that she was creating: The Hogwarts Hex. After several minutes (which bored the adventures and eager young girl) she asked the man serving the bar for some more Butterbeer and something sweet, like a piece of cake.
“Will do.” He grunted, and stalked off. Winter kept checking her watch that her sister, Summer had given her. She remembered her eleventh birthday dreamily, but soon the man came back and she came back to her senses.
“Thank you.” Winter nodded politely and added “The cake looks very tasty.” The barman almost smiled, showing his yellow teeth. Winter was always very well-mannered, due to the fact that she was raised by a fair, yet stern mother. She lapsed into another thoughtful daydream, almost knocking off the cake that was served. Then, she checked the time.

Taisia had stood at the mirror in her room, unsure if her outfit was the right ‘genre’. She had never been great with clothes and often roped her Squib sister into choosing her outfits (babyish? She knew). Finally, Taisia decided to wear a casual ravenclaw t-shirt, leggings and her hair free and wavy.

The girl had waited for an opportunity like this. Writing for a newspaper sounded too good to be true. And interviews? It was definitely too perfect.

She grabbed her wand, tucking it into her robes and steeling herself. Then she exited the dorm to meet Winter.

The Leaky Cauldron was a place where many witches and wizards came to talk, so it wasn’t surprising Winter had chosen it for their meeting. Taisia entered the building and saw Winter sitting at the bar, making conversation with the bartender. She watched their conversation and the barman leave and come back with more Butterbeer and a cake. The girl almost knocked the cake off the bench it was perched on and Taisia giggled to herself. She saw the girl look up and catch her eye, and Taisia made her way to the counter. “Hey Winter,” she smiled, “I can’t wait.”

Winter did knock off the plate by that time. Taisia chuckled slightly and several witches nearby raised their eye-brows. But Winter just smiled and her cheeks turned slightly crimson with emmbarrasment.
"Sorry, I'm as clumsy as ever. Anyway, hi, I assume you're Taisia! You look pretty." Winter nodded and asked the Bartender for two more plates of cake and butterbeer for Taisia.
"So...hi! I'm really glad that you were interested to join the Hogwarts Hex! I've got a story ready already. Want to see it? Oh, damn, I forgot it in my dorm. Ah well, maybe next time. Anyway, have you got any ideas for the Interview section? I was thinking that you maybe want to ask several Prefects, from different houses for example some questions, I think that it will be interesting to hear their different opinions on what to do and stuff like that. And.." She paused for a second "..Maybe Professor Lear? You know, Sir Solomon Lear. Well, I'm a bit terrified of him, to be honest, " Winter addmitted sheepishly "But I think that he still is a great Headmaster. Oh, I do hope that I will never get in trouble.." Winter smiled fondly. "Anyway, maybe we should just get to know each other first? As a matter of interest, do you have any siblings?" Winter asked.

Meanwhile, the slightly put out bartender handed the two girls a slice of cake. Winter's was a carrot cake, which was very tasty and had a..er, live carrot on top. It ran away on it's rooty legs.
"A pity.." Winter said, and gave a theatrical sigh.

Winter apologised for her clumsiness and greeted Taisia.
“You look pretty.”
Wow. This girl was nice.
“Thanks,” Taisia smailed, “You too!”
Winter requested for cake and butterbeer and then they got down to business. She had forgotten a story already but soon moved on to Taisia, asking if she’d gotten any ideas for Interviews.
“You could do different prefects from different houses,” Winter proposed, “Or maybe Professor Lear?”
“Those are cool ideas,” Taisia said thoughtfully, “I was thinking we could do three categories a week, Sport or Clubs, something else and a Mystery Interviewee. The Sports or Clubs could be with quidditch players, or duellers, etc. Mystery Interviewee could be anyone, and I couldn't think of anything for the third category."
She blushed, recalling the late hour she had stayed up until to brainstorm.
"Anyway, maybe we should just get to know each other first? As a matter of interest, do you have any siblings?" Winter asked.
"As a matter of fact I do. I have an older sister named Althea, but she is a Squib and a younger sister named Odelia who is coming to Hogwarts in a few years."
The barman brought over their cake. Winter's had a live carrot, which scurried away. Taisia's was a slice of a sweet potato cake, and looked almost identical to Winter's except for the chocolate iceing on the top. The two thanked the barman.
Taisia scraped her finger on the place and licked off the chocolate icing on top before asking, "What about you? What's your family like?"

"Big," Winter said solemnly. "Well, there's the eldest, Felicity, she works as Vice-Manager of Flourish and Blotts. Then, there is Laura, she is a curse-breaker. After, it's me and Summer, we are twins and down below is Faith. She got a letter to Hogwarts so she should be coming soon. And...Audrey. Audrey got an invitation to Durmstrang and Ilvermony, but mother asked the schools for her to go to Hogwarts. You can bet that she will be hanging out all about Durmstrang. Yeah...." Seeing that Taisia looked slightly dazed, Winter smiled.
"I'll get you to meet them some time. But mother wants us to be very achieving. Let's see...2 Ravenclaws(Me, Felicity), One Gryffindor(Laura), Summer is ill, and is coming to Hogwarts later on and the rest still havn't been sorted."
Winter sighed and said "It's not fun having a huge family." She fiddled with her jumper but then immideately looked cheerful and said "I have written the first article, as I have told you. I say, I'll borrow an owl and ask a girl in my dorm to send it to you! Now! Brilliant...I'll be back in three second!" Winter ran up to the barman and asked him several things eagerly. He seemed to take a shine to that girl and grunted, gesturing her to send a quick letter with a manky owl. Then, Winter came running back to Taisia. "I've asked Anne, a girl in my dorm to send the article that I have left on my bed to us now!! A Ravenclaw - am I not?" Winter grinned.
