Accidental Magic Incident

It was a sunny day in Winchester, England. Emma, a 6 year old girl, with bright blonde hair, and dazzling blue eyes, was playing outside on the concrete in front of her house. There was the game of hopscotch drawn on the ground. Emma would usually play this with her friends, but since it was Summer break, they were all on holidays. Except for Emma. Her parents said they were going to go to a really cool place soon for a holiday, but Emma knew it was just an excuse to go see the relatives on her Dad's side, who she has never seen. Emma wasn't exactly excited about going to see them, she assumed they were going to be old and mean, since they hadn't bothered to come and visit her at least. So Emma chose to come outside where she is today, and do some hopscotch.

Emma had found a pebble to use as the lagger, she threw it into a square, and hopped to it. She picked it up, and realized that she was already bored. Although, she didn't want to go back inside, because she would then have to do some cleaning, or packing for the trip, so she continued with the game. After 15 minutes of hopping continuously back and forth, Emma was tired and ready to go back inside. So Emma chose to do one more round of the game, then be back off inside. She once again threw the pebble, hopping on one leg towards it. Suddenly, her leg collapsed from the tiredness, and Emma fell on the hard concrete ground.

Emma then saw that there was a red, scrape on her right knee, it had some blood coming out of it, and hurt. She touched it a bit, and hissed at the pain. She covered her knee with her hand and applied pressure to it, hoping that it would stop the bleeding. Emma knew that she's going to get blood all over her hands, but in all honesty she found it pretty cool. She imagined being one of those warriors that came back from battle, barely coming out alive, but winning the war for the country. That is something cool to be remembered for. After a minute or so of putting her hands over the scrape on her knee, Emma felt it get better. Assuming the bleeding had stopped, she took her hands off of the wound, but to her surprise, the scrape was gone, as was the blood on her knee and her hands. Emma widened her eyes in confusion and surprise, how is this possible, she thought. Her knee looked good as new, and Emma started to wonder if she had fallen at all. Emma chose to tell her parents about this, maybe they would know something about it.

She walked back to the house, finding her Dad sitting on the couch reading some newspaper, wait are those pictures moving? Emma thought. She shook her head, thinking she was just imagining it. She then saw her Mum walk in from the kitchen, sitting on the couch next to her Dad. She took the newspaper away from him, folded it up, then placing it in a drawer. Once Emma had gotten both of her parents attention, she began to explain what happened.

After about 10 minutes of telling her parents what happened, Emma's parents went from shocked to proud. Her Mum came up and hugged her, saying "I knew this day would come!" She hugged her so tightly that Emma couldn't move or talk. Once her Mum let go, she asked what had happened.

That's the day that Emma found out everything.

Her Dad was a Wizard, and the relatives that they were going to visit were also Wizards. Her Mum was something known as a "Muggle", which means that Emma is a "Half-Blood". What happened with her knee was that she did 'wandless magic', as she healed herself. That means that she's a Wizard too. There was so much information to take in, that Emma didn't think she'd be able to remember them all. When they visit their relatives, Emma is going to ask them a lot of questions.
