Dear mother and father,
I was sorted into Gryffindor like Aunt Brenda, I really like it so far. I have made friends, one of them being a Slytherin. I think he is a pureblood, he acts like it. I love my classes. I am doing well in all of them, and I'm studying to keep my grades up. I will be staying at Aunt Brenda's for Christmas, I hope you both are doing okay.

You are no longer living with us. We have cleared your room, and you have been taken off the tree. We can not accept this, we know about your friends, HOW DARE YOU INTERACT WITH THE DIRTY MUGGLES AND THEIR OFFSPRING?! I thought we raised you better than that. You are to not return home. If you do there will be severe punishment. Do not owl us, do not speak to us.
