Ivy trudged into the Transfiguration classroom, blowing a stray lock of red hair out of her face. In her opinion, Transfiguration was one of the most boring classes in the whole of Hogwarts, if not then the most boring outright. It wasn't anything against her professor, it was just the whole subject in general. Why anyone would want to teach the useless subject, she would never know, especially since most of her classmates, if not, all of them sat staring into space, passing each other notes or doodling in their notebooks.
Today, Ivy had to study for at least an hour, according to her mother. She had the boring job of going through both two weeks of Transfiguration homework, as Professor Aarden had sent last week's back without hesitation. Apparently, she had not read the required material and wasn't listening. Poppycock. She was so listening.
Ivy plodded into the classroom, dumping her school bag on the floor and slumping down into her chair. Reluctantly, she sighed heavily and unzipped her bag, pulling out her parchment and quill. Ivy thought for a minute, remembered the questions, and dipping her quill in the ink pot, started to write down her requested homework messily.

How to Transfigure a Friend

• @ivy starlingAlthough it was only the beginning of the first-year, Abby had already decided that Transfiguration was going to be one of her favourite classes, if not her favourite outright. Considering she looked forward to every class with a very Hufflepuff smile on her face, Transfiguration always brought about the biggest grin of all.
It was a regular afternoon. As usual, Abby was taking a stroll along the corridors, not really looking for anything in particular but just giving herself something to do. It would probably come as a surprise to some people, but Abby had lots of spare time and not a lot of things to do with it. She only had a few interests - drawing, reading, learning - but her main hobby she liked to pursue was helping people. From doing extra chores to homework help, Abby loved to give a helping hand when needed.
Abby sighed, shaking her head at herself for daydreaming, and continued on her peaceful stroll, but not before noticing a young girl sitting in the Transfiguration classroom. Someone to give a helping hand? She asked herself.
Abby looked at the first-year curiously, wondering if she should offer her knowledge. She noticed that she was wearing a navy and bronze striped tie, which meant she was obviously in Ravenclaw.
The young Hufflepuff approached the girl nervously, opening the door in silence and stepping into the room hesitantly.
"Hello?" Abby asked, her voice wavering slightly. She bounced from one foot to the over. "I-I was just wondering if you needed any help with your homework. You seem like you need some advice, and I'm a bit of whizz at Transfiguration, not to brag. I-I could help you, if you'd like?"[ 283 words ]
