I'm so gonna be late for potions
I haven't been here for a week, and I'm already lost. I have a habit of doing that. Even when I was in the same muggle school for like, 5 years, I still got lost! It happens extremely easily, and it's even worse when I'm distracted. Groaning, I hoisted my bag full of school books, broken quills, half-full bottles of ink, and other stuff onto my shoulders. I walked around the corridors aimlessly, actually hoping that I could run into someone who could lead me to my next class, which was potions, so it seemed. Would I fail this class like I failed the flying class? Hopefully not!!! Well, I WILL if I don't get there quickly! Strange, you'd think that the corridors would be crammed right now, but apparently not! That's probably because everyone already made it to class, you're a genius Ro, why didn't the hat put you in Ravenclaw again? My only option was to find a shortcut since there was absolutely no one in the corridors that I could ask for directions. I ran to the Grand Staircase and hopped onto a flight of already moving stairs. I held onto the rail as the stairs spun and jerked around, and finally dropping me off at an intersection. I ran and eventually smashed into somebody, my supplies scattered around everywhere. "Hey!" I yelled. "Watch where you're going!"

I'm so gonna be late for potions
Leila could not have been in a worse mood. First, she got stuck out of the Slytherin common room without her History of Magic textbook and so she had to wait for the next person to come and open it for her. Then, in doing this, she missed breakfast. Her stomach was growling so loudly as she walked to class that even the portraits on the walls were grimacing. This was not the way to start the morning. Leila had once read that breakfast was the most important meal of the day, and now she was willing to attest to that.
Leila was just short of a full on sprint to her next class as she turned a corner. Wham! Leila crashed into someone sending her books flying. Her bag hit the floor with a thud and she heard the sound of breaking glass that could only mean one thing. The ink bottles! She dropped to the floor, hoping to save something, anything from the dripping ink as the person said, "Hey! Watch where you're going!"
"Oh no! I'm so sorry!" In her haste to save her parchment, Leila had forgotten to check to see if the other girl was ok. Leila glanced up to see a pair of green, catlike eyes staring disapprovingly down at her. The girl tossed her long red hair out of her eyes and groaned.
"I'm so sorry!" Leila said again, picking up the rest of her ink stained books. "I was in such a rush and now both you and I will be even more late. Is there anything I can do for you?"

I looked at the girl stupidly. For a second, I didn't say anything I COULDN'T say anything. But why?. I wanted to speak, but my throat would not let me form words...I gritted my teeth hard and barely managed to squeeze out, "Sorry for being rude. I-I'm just having a very bad day." I started to gather up everything on the floor. And then I remembered her question and added, "But yes, there is something that you can do for me, actually. Do you know where the potions classroom is?" I had been dying to ask somebody that question ever since the corridors had cleared out because honestly, Hogwarts was great and all, but I just didn't get how it worked. How do the 7th years do it? Maybe they didn't! At that very moment, I realized that my friendship instinct was about to kick in, and before I could stop myself, I blurted, "So I don't think I caught your name? My name is Aurora, but you can call me Ro. Do you like animals?" I sort of cringed at that last part. But too late! It's already out there. It could have been much worse though.
