Closed Ventus Your Frustrations PV Everly

While he would never admit it, George always did enjoy making himself something of a teacher's pet for the Charms professor. It was hard not to - he genuinely paid attention in class, submitted all of his assignments on time, and even put in extra effort to help his peers succeed in the subject. While he'd been skeptical about Professor Fresnel at first, he was quite taken with her style of teaching, as well as her inspiring style choices. In his efforts to impress the professor, he'd taken on a few extra-curricular assignments already. The latest of which was tutoring @Everly Charlton, a third-year Gryffindor who had apparently struggled with the subject in her prior year.

The charms classroom looked as it always did, although it was empty aside from the student teacher awaiting his student student. Even though he'd been practicing his spell work in the meantime, there were few forms of destruction that the mending charm and the scouring spell could not reverse. That was likely the only way the castle survived some of its more avant-garde professors, like miss Fresnel.

But with George alone, the place was positively peaceful. There were no peers to distract him as he dipped his quill in ink again and scratched it across his parchment, catching up on his transfiguration classwork as he awaited his young protege. He'd managed to teach many struggling students, and had no doubt this would just be another achievement for his CV to pass along and prove that he was good for more than just trouble making at Hogwarts.

"Hello!" he said, lifting his head as he saw some movement at the door. He would nod to the Gryffindor girl as she came in, appraising her with a quick glance over before opening up his journal and flipping through the pages to find the notes he had taken on this particular case.

"Everly Charlton?" he asked, looking up at her again with a hopeful smile. If not, this would be very awkward, as he'd have to share the room with someone while he tutored another, which always made him feel self-conscious. "I'm George Henry. Professor Fresnel told me that you needed some help with a few charms."

He cast a quick glance down at his notes again, seeing a few of the particulars that he'd jotted down about her weak areas. Of course, many people struggled with charms, although he raised his eyebrows at the sight of a particular jinx on his list. "The wind jinx in particular?" he asked, glancing up at her. His judgemental gaze was entirely apparent, despite his best efforts to look indifferent. He'd never seen anyone struggle with ventus, really. All it did was produce a little gust - was that so hard? "That's, um, fine. Lots of people struggle with that one... probably..."

Despite feeling like this one might be a bit of a hard case, he was still committed to give his best effort. If they were willing to put in the effort, the last thing anyone deserved was being stuck in a remedial class with a bunch of kids who could hardly hold their wands straight. "Are you ready to begin?"
