Second Time The Charm?
Efelion had just finished his first potion class and was on his way to the grounds for some time by the lake, it was one of his new favorite spots, away from others near one of the trees by the water’s edge. It was calming to him, the serine nature of the lake had been a good relaxation of the chaotic days of all he was learning, it was still something new to him, normally he had learned at his own pace but not it was different. He was finding it hard to keep up with things.
The boy found a tree and sat down by the lake with a sigh, the first few days of his week at the school had been interesting, to say the least. He had made friends, made enemies, and had someone he thought was friendly turn her back on him without real warning. He knew that school was going to be tough, especially to make friends and get to know people however he hadn’t expected it to be as hard as it was.
The sun overhead was nice on his skin as he opened a book and started reading. He was trying to keep his mind off things, maybe with some help from his books, he could get to know how to interact with people or even pick up if people were being friendly or just taking advantage of him. The sound of the lake shore lapping was also helpful in calming him, he loved the sound of water however he barely got to be near it outside of the camping trips his parents took him on.
Though his thoughts were still stressed about work he was hoping for the upcoming ball, he hadn’t heard about it from his mother or father but when it was mentioned at the great hall he was keen, not only for the ball but also that of the tournament, a chance to see competition was always exciting to him even if he himself wasn’t very good at sports. It was the main reason he had avoided the quidditch team, didn’t believe in his own skill to play properly, and didn’t want to let down his house team.
The recent scuffle with Angela had made him bitter Efelion still had hopes that not everyone was like that, Alora had been kind to him since he first stepped foot on the express and she was Slytherin so it couldn’t be the whole house was like that. Maybe he could still make friends there and now that he had gotten to know a few other first years he wasn’t feeling as awkward about school as he once did, although there was still plenty more he hadn’t gotten to know. Even in his own house he barely knew anyone, the common room was a place he often stayed late a night but barely ever spoke to anyone.
Efelion sighed as he flicked over a page to read more, trying to distract his always busy mind. He was hoping that more sleight-of-hand knowledge might make for a fun trick to make new friends. Having some fun with something that was more common with muggles was still something everyone could enjoy. He knew that not everyone was aware of such a thing as it made no sense in the wizarding world.

Second Time The Charm?
Angela had been strolling around the grounds for a while, doing what she always did which was playing music with the trees. She hadn't had a chance to look at the music section of Hogwarts however she would soon. Even though it wasn't as grand as a music room it was just as nice. The nature surrounding her gave a walm and comfort feeling it was a place where she felt more open.
As she was wondering around, she kept going in and out, of dream and reality. Daydreaming was something that Angela did a lot. It had a different feeling than reality and it wasn't a bad feeling. Whilst she was daydreaming a certain scenario was playing in her head. It was the scene that had happened in the corridor with Efelion. The guilt she felt and the sorrow. She had planned to apologies but hadn't got round to it yet, but that was because she had no clue where he would be. She was just in luck. Sat under a tree was Efelion, at the start she had not noticed him but the closer she got she could tell.
As she slowly approached him, her mind was filled with what to say. Should she start with the general hey or straight onto her apology. Well at this moment in time she was already standing to the side of him. So, she decided to wing it. "Efelion, I am so sorry. I was a coward and a bad friend. I should of spoke up and defended you instead I took his side. The wrong side. I'm so angry at myself for it. I can't Imagine how you felt. Angela said sincerely whilst rambling on more. She tried to give a reassuring smile to him.

Second Time The Charm?
Efelion heard an approach and looked up to see Angela coming towards him, his stomach sank a little at the thoughts of what had happened. Though it might have seem like something simple he still felt bitter, he had trusted someone knew and it had been spat back out at him. The boy stood up with a sigh awaiting to see what the girl had to say to him.
As she spoke Efelion simple listened and took it in as the light breeze around them pushed his brown hair around a little bit, still messy as ever. The words were rather different than what he was expecting her to say and it caught him a bit off guard. He stood there for a second figuring out what to say, did he really believe her?
“You aren’t a coward” Efelion said trying his best to sound genuine “and I do not need defending, I can deal with things on my own” Efelion continued with his words trying to help express the issue that he had “I wasn’t looking for you to stand up for me, I can take care of things myself, what I can’t take care of is being stabbed in the back whilst trying to stand up for you.” He said honestly before looking down at the water.
“You were worried and wanted to leave, I took that as a sign that you were worried about the person and so when we couldn’t run off I stood up to them for you, something I clearly shouldn’t have done” He sighed and looked back over at the again with a small grin on his face “I want to believe your words but how am I supposed to after the first time we meet you do that to me, what am I supposed to think?” He asked her genuinely, he hadn’t ever been in the situation and was unsure what to do, what they were supposed to do.
What was the best course of action for them? He was unsure and he hoped that maybe she could help them come to some sort of conclusion. Maybe she had an idea on how to make one another no longer share a broken bond of a potential friendship gone afoul.

Second Time The Charm?
Angela stood there almost frozen for a moment, yet still listening to what Efelion had been staying. She wasn't going to lie; she hadn't thought that deep into her apology. Her words where not spoken from the heart in which she needed to do. Angelas confidence slowly was creaking back into play. Whilst she listened more guilt fell, she began to go pale almost sick like.
"Your right." She paused for a moment she never really admitted when she was wrong. " I stabbed you in the back. I admit that but I Can't undo that moment and make it, so I didn't say it. Even if I wish I could. I made a mistake. A big Mistake. If there's any way or anything I can do to prove myself, I will. She raised her posture whilst speaking in a soft neutral tone trying to sound sincere.
Angela looked at Efelion dead in the eye with a straight face to show how serious she was about it. There are a lot of things Angela wished she could redo or even erase but the world doesn't work like that. All she could pray was that Efelion could see her sorrow and perhaps give her a second chance.
