A Purrfect Birthday gift
Clair's Birthday was less then a week away and she had not given it even one thought.
To her, her birthday was not very important, she liked people to notice it, but not to be crazy about it.
Her birthday had been put on the back burner for as long as she could remember, all because of the fact that her birthday was 11 days after school started. Her family had always been so stressed about school starting back up and Belle and Izzy getting to Hogwarts that things never really worked in Clair's favour, and her Birthdays had be recognized with a simple yet lovely picnic that her Mother and her would go on on her birthday.
Last year Clair had been at Hogwarts on her Birthday, so she had not been able to have her picnic.
Never mind that though, there was still a week until her 13th birthday!
She was just about to enter the Great hall to join breakfast when a hand pulled on her arm.
Turning around and pulling her wand out ( with her other hand) all in one motion Clair was just about to give whoever dared to grab her a Knock back jinx, but she stopped her words just in time, the person who had grabbed her hand was none other then Izzy Fernandez, the Fourth year Slytherin who had managed to not talk to her younger Sister in almost a year.
"Geez Izzy!" Clair said, still shocked by the fact that her sister had even bothered to remember that Clair existed. Izzy had a smile plastered to her face, the smile looked super fake, but it was a smile.
"Happy Birthday Little Sister!" She said, and handed Clair a small box.
"Open it!" Izzy urged, and then under her breath she added a sour ''I don't have all day."
Clair looked at her with a confused look. ''My Birthday is not for another week."
"Damn it." Izzy swore, "Well you get your gift anyways. It's tearing up my dorm." Izzy's tone was now less then cheerful, it was in fact more like the old Izzy Clair knew.
Clair opened the box, and found a small note, she looked at Izzy for a quick moment.
"Don't look at me! Your sister sent it to me to give to you."
Clair nodded, that made more sense.
She read the note.
"Fine. Lets start by saying this: I did not have anything to do with it, it was all Belle so don't kill me. Also you can put your wand away."
Clair nodded and put her wand away, "Ok, shoot." She said, watching her sister.
"Ok, so for your birthday you Stupid sister decided that you should get something amazing, so she got you a cat."
Clair stared at her, "She got me a cat."
Izzy nodded, "If you follow me I'll show you the cat."
Clair stared at her again, "I can't have two pets here! It's not allowed."
Izzy groaned, "You think I don't know that? I've been here for four years you dunce. Before you even ask what we'll do Belle came up with a plan, until next weekend when I can meet Belle in Hogsmeade again, I will care for Comet, next weekend I'll take her to Hogsmeade, where Belle will be waiting and she will take her back home."
Clair paused, "Did she fly all the way to Scotland just to bring this cat?"
"she came to look at a cattle farm, and then seen the cat and thought of you." Izzy said, obviously annoyed by Clair's millions of questions.
Once they were standing near the door of the common room Clair waited for her sister, after a few minutes Izzy came back from the Slytherin common room with a
in her arms.
The cat was a fuzzy silvery almost white fur that was mixed with darker grey lines, the cat was a beauty.
"Oh my! Does it have a name?" Clair asked, looking at the adorable cat in front of her.
"Kiwi, is what Belle said her name was, don't ask me why though." Izzy said, before adding "lets go get your rabbit."
The two started towards the Ravenclaw tower to get Comet.
