-A Quiet Evening-
Matty walked by the great lake and sighed. They were watching the other kids on the lawn hanging out together. Matty found a nice spot on the grass and sat down. They set their books down next to them. They grabbed out a book and started reading it. No matter how hard they tried though they couldn't seem to focus on the words on the pages. They kept drifting off into the space of their mind. They sighed and gave up trying setting the book down. They layed back and closed their eyes. They crossed their feet and took in everything happened over the last couple of days. They were at Hogwarts, their sister finally started learning to read, and their father got a job promotion. Matty had recieved an owl from their father telling them all about it. They hadn't realized but they were smiling. Things seemed to be going good for once. They just layed there thinking about nothing and everything at once.
Matty awoke from the trance to kids screaming and laughing. They sat up and grabbed out a textbook to study. Matty seemed calmer now, like thinking about everything calmed their nerves. They were actually able to read a few paragraphs this time before they started tapping their pencil against their leg. They couldn't help it. They gripped the pencil tightly to try and stop tapping it but to no avail. They sighed and put the book back down again. They looked around once again and saw students walking into the castle. They gathered up their things and headed inside to the great hall for dinner. They sat at the table and sighed. Thankfully, the day was almost over and they could lay down in the common room for the night.
