History/Background Story:

As a baby:
Cyrus was born in London, more or less. His mother isn't quite sure exactly where. Until he was three years old, Cyrus lived in London, and more specifically magical London itself, as his witch mother (Cecilia Sunder, daughter of a long line of purebloods) was never done introducing her magic passioned muggle husband (Bob McHubert) to the magical world, while her husband introduced her to engineering, physics, etc. Both of his parents would share their passions with their sons, piling up into a rather... incredible amount of interests.

As a toddler:
Cyrus and his parents moved to York. He was three. He was too young to really have made any friends, and he was excited to visit a new town. They didn't stay long, as his parents instead decided to make a tour of Great Britain by train. This tour lasted for two entire years, as they spent quite some in every town, homeschooling Cyrus. The boy was initially rather shy due to not being exposed to other people his age.

As a child:
When Cyrus was 6, his family moved to Edinburgh, where he started muggle school. Any traces of shyness quickly disappeared, as he became extremely outgoing and friendly. However, muggle school was a bit slow for him (his parents had taught him all of this already), and he eventually was pulled back into homeschooling when he was 7. His homeschooling was ripe with daily lessons about whatever his parents had their minds on at the moment, science, history, people, etc. As a young child, that led him to develop a rather cynical mind aligning with his parents, despite his positive exuberance at everything. He however didn't fully grasp and comprehend these subjects until later in his education. When Cyrus turned 8, his family left Edinburgh to go live with his maternal grandparents, old pureblood wizards that lived in southern England. He got along well with them, and so did his father. They were rather tolerant and doted on Cyrus. It is with them that he learned much of the basics of magical history, culture, and manners. Although he didn't keep the manners.

Right before Hogwarts:
Cyrus moved to Dublin for a year, where he made some friends that he then left behind and forgot. He can't even remember the name of most people he met, and that's when he realized that most of his memories from before he was 7 completely disappeared. Of course, his parents had told him stories, and those he remembered, but all of HIS memories had disappeared. And it seems this had always been the case. With this issue weighing on his mind, he embarked on Hogwarts.
