Cleo pulled her trolley along as she entered the wall between the two platforms. Neither of her parents were able to attend, so she was on her own. She pushed the trolley through the crowds of people, placing it in a corner and giving her trunk off to a train worker to bring it aboard. From all around her, chattering filled the air. Smells of perfumes and the train steam filled Cleo’s nose as she rushed through the people to get onto the train.

She was all alone at this school, her own journey and she was discovering it. Her parents had gone to this school, her great grandparents had gone to this school. Now she was next. A long line of magical creature doctors, strong blood. Being a pure blood got to some peoples head. She had heard stories about the pure bloods trying to kill off the muggle borns. She didn’t see a difference, they just didn’t have magic, what’s so special about it anyways?

Boarding the train, the chattering silenced slightly, but a whole new level of chattering filled her ears as she walked through the corridors of the train. She tried to find a empty compartment to sit in, yet all seemed to be filled with 2 or 3 people. Not wanting to interrupt people in conversation, she never did ask to sit in one. The thought of talking to random strangers made her shiver. She never had much interaction with other kids. Leading her to be silent and shy. It was a awful thing, yet it kept her safe.

At the end of the corridor, she was finally met with a empty compartment, slipping into it and relaxing. It wasn’t to far in the front, but also not to far in the back that is was still noisy. She pulled out her school books, Hogwarts, A History to be exact. She had been reading it ever since she got her hands on it, her nose buried deep inside it. She flipped through the aged pages, taking in every bit of information, every name and face. The pictures in the book walked around, waving at her as she got to each page. The magic pictures always fascinated her. Do muggles have something like this? she wondered. Closing the book and looking out the window. People outside walked around, waving goodbye to those on the train. She saw other kids were waving, and feeling lonely, she decided to join in on the waving.

She never waved to anyone in particular, she just waved, as if her parents stood there proudly, waving back. The train slowly started to move, pulling her arm back in, she watched the people disappear from sight. Hasn’t been the greatest yet, she thought to herself, But it will get better, it’s Hogwarts that they are going to of course.

~have a lovely day dears~
