Closed Not a Stalker, I Promise PV River Fayre

River was just going about her daily routine, wake up at 7am, get dressed, go for a run (or walk) and then eat breakfast and do whatever for the rest of the day.
Right now she was on go for a walk/run, today it was a speedy walk.
She was wearing a two piece light blue dress with a pair of light purple trainers style was one thing she half cared about.

As she walked her eyes scanned everything, she watched for anyone who might be a danger to her, she watched for everything around her. This was new land, she did not know it like the back of her hand, she could not run blindly through it, knowing where everything was. No, this was land where she was at risk, if anyone decided to attack her she would be the one on the disadvantage.

Her fast walk turned into a slow jog as she had the strange feeling that she was being watched, oh how she hated that feeling, it made her feel weak, which was something that she was not, River was never weak, no never.

River shook her head as she went, trying to shake off the feeling that she was being watched.

Her breath held, Chiaki waited anxiously to see if the blonde would spot her as she seemed to pass by. Luckily, it seemed she wasn't aware of the girl looking down from above (who was definitely not a stalker).

As she watched the girl's pace increase, Chiaki tried to gently adjust their position in the tree. She'd kinda lept up when she saw the girl coming, and her legs were cramping quickly in the position she had defaulted to. However, whilst she was readjusting, she found herself slipping... falling... hitting the ground!

"Ow!"

Chiaki hit the ground with an uncomfortable thud. Eyes darting back and forth, she hoped and prayed that the blonde hadn't seen or heard the fall. Trying to get to her feet, she winced as she put pressure onto her left foot.

So there was no chance for a quick and speedy getaway. Great.

She contemplated yelling out for help, but the only person who would be close enough to help was the blonde girl, and she probably already thought Chiaki was stalking her. So, instead, she sat there awkwardly, weighing up whether or not she had the social skills to explain the perfectly normal reason she had been in the tree in the first place.

As she walked she could not shake off the feeling of being watched, it was getting rather disturbing.
She sighed and tried to stop thinking about it, it was summer camp the place was swarming with staff, if there were any freaks out there the staff would protect her, right?
She decided not to let her mind think the answer, but it already had, nope the staff would do nothing. Her mind screamed, even as she tried to not think about it she could not stop.

Looking around she tried to calm herself by saying that she could not see anyone, but it only made it worse, what if they were stalking her? Sneaking behind the trees where she could not see them?
Just as she was getting so nervous that she was about to just turn back and head for her tent, she heard a thump!

"EEEEEHHH!" She screamed as a human fell from a tree nearby her.
She watched for a moment, like a scared animal, unsure if she should help or stay back.
She took a step forward, only to skitter back, today she was extra jumpy for no reason, it was starting to bug even her.

The scream from the blonde girl took Chiaki by surprise, making her let out a scream equally similar.

"AGH!"

Breathing heavily, she tried for a small smile. It seemed unlikely that this girl could understand Japanese, so she attempted to put together a sentence in English, ignoring the stabbing pain in her foot.

"I-I am so sorry," she apologised. "My intention was not to scare, I do promise. I-I had been looking at the nature in England. From the tree." She pointed upwards, though there was really no need to. There weren't many other trees she could've fallen from to land exactly where she had.

Rubbing her hand on the back of her neck, she let out a little chuckle. "I-I am nice. I do promise. And I am not following you. I am knowing it is creepy that I just fell from that tree, but I do promise, I swear with my heart, that it was accident. Not on purpose."

Internally, she cursed at her lack of fluency in English. If she hadn't seemed weird at first, she most definitely did now. Trying to ignore the definite red shade creeping onto her cheeks, she tried to stand again. Upon failing, she offered out a hand from the ground. "I-I am called Chiaki. Hiroi. Chiaki Hiroi. From Japan. A-And you are?"

The girl's scream startled River into another scream, "AHHH!"
She stayed in her prey-like position, watching the other girl. "You like to watch nature?"
The French girl stared at the Japanese girl, River rarely ever stopped to care about Nature, Nature was messy, and way to boring for her needy self.

River's heart was starting to slow back down to a normal speed, but she still regarded the other girl with caution. "So... You sit in trees, to watch nature, You watch nature from nature? And then fall from nature as a person just happens to be walking by. Not creepy at all."

River might have thought the girl was extremely creepy and slightly weird, but she had been brought up with elegance and manner even if she never used them "I'm River Fayre, from The One and Only France." She looked back at the girl, Chiaki. "So, what is Japan like? Is it like here?" She waved around them, France was much prettier if you asked River. England was far too ... Grey. All it seemed to do was rain, and the people were different here. They talked funny, did things funny and they let Monsters in their school. Yes, they were weird here.

Chiaki nodded, wide-eyed. She hoped the girl would believe her words, but right now she wasn't so sure. It didn't seem as if the girl was convinced in the slightest as she maintained her suspicious glare. It made Chiaki uncomfortable, and she shifted gaze to the ground.

"Yes, nature. It's really beautiful, if you are able to admire it."

She pointed at her little book that had tumbled with her from the tree. "I-I like to draw pictures of what I can find. It's like a... what's the word for it... a scrapbook, I would guess. I have drawings of the plants and creatures I find when I have travelled away from home, and notes of what they look like, so I can remember them and look them up in my books at home. And from above, the views of the area are very pretty, and I was hoping to do a general picture so I could remember it. I am so very sorry if I frightened you, I am not a bad person, at least I try not to be."

The pain in her foot had began to subside, so Chiaki dared to stand, though shifted her weight to lean more on the tree she had fallen from. "Your name is very pretty. Japan is very nice, it is very pretty. There are several trees and green spaces where I live, and in the spring and summer months they are filled with pink flowers. I know there are other beautiful places too. I would say that it is better than here, almost certainly, but the differences are always interesting. I am sure France is wonderful too?"

It seemed the initial tension had began to fade, and Chiaki tried for a gentle smile at River.

River shrugged, "I'm not sure I see it the same way you do, It is messy and uhh" she paused to think of the word in English "Um, It is also not what I would day is my cup of tea." Rather pleased with herself for remembering a English phrase River forgot she was suspicious of the other girl and eased herself to a more comfortable position.

River, who was not very artistic in the least but liked looking at art was intrigued by Chiaki's drawings. "May I look?" She asked, pointing at the book which had fallen along with the other girl.
River was rather quickly forgetting to not trust the other girl and she stepped a little closer.

She looked at Chiaki, Her face softened slightly for a half a second, Chiaki had some sort of spell on the French girl, she was very calming to be around. "No, I don't think you are bad." River muttered.
"I'm sorry you fell from the tree, are you ok?" not many people earned River's respect, but once earned the girl was very loyal and would run to the end of the world for.

"Merci Thank you My whole family has Nature names. I like your name as well."
Ooh, River tried to picture forests of pink trees, she had never seen the pictures of the trees, so in her mind she was seeing the populars and oaks and other native trees that she could see around her in England and France. A small smile crossed her face, what a silly idea! pink trees, the idea amused her
"I'd love to see pink trees one day, France is amazing. I live in a small town and our houses are built of stone blocks, very old. The air is amazing and the skies are often sunny and bleu." She closed her eyes, the thought of France made her even more comfortable. "I am sure anything would be better than the grey rain of England." River commented, already tired of the grey and rain england seemed to love.
