A Private Conversation PV Sophie Verlice

Cece smiled at Sophie and sat down on the terrace. Cece was glad she had chosen a good spot for their meeting. She just hoped the Slytherin girl wouldn’t follow them here. “Well, I’m glad you like my choice of location. I was a little bit worried that there might be someone here already, but it looks like we got lucky.” She paused for a second, wondering if she should let Sophie talk on her own, or if she should prompt her. She decided to let Sophie gather her thoughts and talk about something else in the meantime. “The view up here is so pretty. I find open spaces to be relaxing.” She paused and thought for a second. Perhaps talking about her own fears would make Sophie more comfortable with talking about her own? “I don’t like dark places, I always feel like there’s something watching me, ready to attack me at any moment. But if I am in a dark place, I like to try and shove myself in a corner. It makes me feel a little bit more comfortable if the thing I imagine can’t scare me from behind.” Cece laughed, and smiled widely at Sophie. “It’s pretty stupid, I know, there’s nothing in the darkness waiting for me. My dad always said I had an overactive imagination and my mom would joke that it’s from all those tales of mythological monsters he reads to me. Then he would reply that if it’s some sort of monster from the myths he reads me, at least I would know how to fight them.” At first Cece was talking just to fill the silence and make Sophie more comfortable, but now she was actually enjoying telling Sophie about her fears. “Sorry, I was kind of rambling there. You don’t have to tell me anything if you don’t want to. If you want, I can just keep on talking and we can sit here and enjoy the view. Or I can shut up if you find me annoying.” She had thrown in the last part jokingly, but now she was actually worried that Sophie might find her annoying. She glanced over at Sophie and waited for her to say something.

Image posted by the member"No, you can go on, I don't mind." Sophie said, wondering if Cece was part Hufflepuff. Sophie always thought Hufflepuffs were the chatty ones, since she'd seen a lot of fellow badgers chat a lot. Sophie was one of the more quiet ones. She was social back at muggle school but not at Hogwarts. Now that she knew magic existed, she was more cautious with the friends she made. Sophie was an easily manipulated person, but then she would eventually find out that you were manipulating her and it would take a long time to gain her trust again.

That was also the reason Sophie avoided Slytherins. She was very nervous she would come across a manipulative one and they'd manipulate her until her demise ( well, not really but you get the idea ). Sophie was very happy she can still sense it if it was fake love or real love, so she could at least understand if you fake that you like her but actually hate her.

She looked around. The Owlery was still a pretty cool place even when she had been there before. The door was still a bit open, Sophie could've sworn she saw someone outside. Did you come back again? She thought. She looked closer. Just the shadow of the door, nothing to worry about. No Slytherin girl, no anybody. They were alone. She looked at Cece. "So do you want to talk about something?"
