Damien didn’t know what to expect from Platform 9 and 3/4s. From the books it sounded so amazing. So wonderful. Seeing it in person is awe inspiring yes but what came into mind was the amount of people and the lights. Damien made his escape into the train despite wanting to admire its outer beauty. He squeezed through students stuffing their luggage into a train and found a nice and empty compartment.

It was a standard compartment it seemed. Nothing to write home about. He set his bags overhead yet left his Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them out to read on his own time. The book in his opinion gave valuable insights to the general wizarding world. He snuggled himself into the corner and used the noise albeit nagging and very annoying to use as background noise while reading. His nose was quite literally stuffed in the book.

Damien wondered how each animal evolved and why they’re so different compared to the animals he’s used to. He didn’t notice the time floating by until he looked up at the window. By the gods it was almost departure time! Ah he really seemed like a typical Ravenclaw despite Slytherin being a nice fit in his book. He didn’t let the time alarm him more than what he reacted with. He was already on the train.
