History:
Aria has always been a bit of a loner, never really interacting with her peers, not even on the playground. In fact, she tended to prefer sitting at home with a book. Growing up, she found herself drawn to the fantasy genre, consuming games, movies and books on the manner. Unfortunately, her excitement was generally not shared with children around her, and as a result she ended up bullied quite a bit. Due to this, she was often bullied and belittled, causing her to withdraw herself more in her fantasy worlds, and eventually, it lead to her having trouble socializing with others. Deep down, she always wished to find people who would understand, people who would see things the way she did.. people who shared her interest.
One time, a boy at school bullied her by taking her novel and ripping the pages from it, which she would gather up, collect, and report to the teacher on. But when she did, somehow, the book had been mended. This is was her first instance of magic, though she was not aware of what had happened. Her parents did not believe it either.
Both her and her muggle parents were surprised however, to get a surprise visit from a Hogwarts professor, a few years after this instance. The professor explained everything, which alarmed the girl's parents at first. they thought it was some sort of scam, or trick, until the professor proceeded to turn their sofa into a pig, then back. Something that got a slight giggle out of muggle-born witch. This lead to an understanding, after which said professor took them to Diagon alley, where they would go shopping for a wand, and school supplies. This felt like a dream to Aria. She could not believe it.. It was real.. magic.. it existed! Getting home, she wanted to read her books immediately, and wanted to wave around that wand, see what she could already too, but her parents wisely decided it was for the better to leave her school supplies locked away, at least, for now. Practising magic outside of school was disallowed.. and what if she accidentally set their house on fire? No, it wasn't a good idea.
So far, at Hogwarts:
And then the day came. Nervously, Aria got on the train and left for Hogwarts, hoping for a new life with new friends.
After arrive, she was sorted into Ravenclaw.. But even past that, she found that it was hard to make friends. She ended up feeling rather lonely, her awkwardness making it hard for her to make friends. Perhaps she should have tried harder though. She did pay a lot of attention at classes however, having to try and approach things differently from what she had been used to before, but still managing to an extend, she'd been having fun with the coursework.
Physical Description:
She has a lithe build, and long, raven hair, her eyes, despite grey, are warm and abound with life and energy. Short as she is, she is unlikely to be seen among her peers (135 cm), but she does not mind this at all; it's much easier to avoid attention that way.
Mental Description:
Aria is curious about this new world she has been thrust into; eager to learn, yet shy to interact, she is often found keeping to herself and studying other people's behaviours. She would like to be included, but her demeanor and shyness keep her from making the first move.
