A Call to Old Values
| A tyrant rises to fulfill that need. Perhaps it was Harry Potter's fault that Lord Voldemort came to and ultimately fell from power. While the late former Voldemort was a tyrant in the historical pejorative, he fulfilled a need in wizarding society. As traditional family values are being forfeited and muggle ways of life encroach on magical living. Muggles are a threat to magical society in numerous ways, from the frequency of their wars to their machines of war, from their unfettered access to information via electronic mediums yet their dereliction from duty and fixation on porn has made them narrow-minded, weak-willed and frankly a danger to reasonable wizarding society. It has been proven in muggle history that in times of violent social change, the most militant of factions tend to triumph, and then the leader of the faction becomes the dictator of the land. Something like this happened twice during the French Revolution, first with the rise of the Jacobins and then with Napoleon’s coup d’état. Though it most often makes a left turn, the process can turn right, as with Franco, in Spain. In either case, a period of turbulence is followed by a period of terror. In wizarding society the turbulence was the act of change, and the grace we found temporarily under Lord Voldemort's regime. Unlike the dictators of muggle society, the faction shift in wizarding society was not so much a power grab as it was a drastic social and societal change. The violations committed against a subclass of wizards might have been a painful necessity to ensure a way of life that is now slipping away from us. Their unfortunate, but necessary sacrifices would have solidified a future for wizardkind that now appears bleak. | While some might be rightfully horrified by the notion that for the greater good some might suffer or even have to sacrifice, the needs of the few are always outweighed by the needs of the many. It is when we prioritize the individual over the collective that we find ourselves in this cyclical situation of regression, repression and a diminishment of already fading bloodlines. It is time for us to consider a durable fix—a more equitable economy for wizards, a gentler form of magical globalization, and a tempered restoration of wizarding identity—while knowing that the fix may not be welcome by those with weak blood, poor breeding and subpar magic. The unexciting truth is that disparity is a permanent feature of muggle existence, and that an array of circumstances allows this to persist but we are anything but muggles. Cancers all have a family resemblance, and each has a specific pathology. Although we refer to them by the same name, like cancer muggles are a blight on the human existence and experience. Simply put, they were not made as well as the rest of us and due to their diminished states we diminish ourselves, forfeit our values for the sake of those that can never touch or understand magic. We hide ourselves away from muggle society, taking to back alleyways and dangerous mountaintops. All for the sake of a people that do not know that we exist and if they did they would misuse our skills or cause us to suffer. The most recent and profound evidence of muggle interference in the wizarding world can be attributed to SCAR, a nefarious organization of ne'er do wells that have been credited with the attack on a train car of Hogwarts students as well as the terrorist act on Hogsmeade that resulted in the death of numerous students, damaging our future generations. |
SCAR Threatens London
| ========================= Today, a rollicking carnival vibe still has the capacity to blunt the most sinister side of the muggle and non-human magical politics. This idyllic vision where everyone, as different as they are exists, cohabitates and thrives in harmony is an impossibility. With claims of acting out for the sake of equality and rights emblazoned on their banners, these 'disenfranchised' quickly devolve to violence when their unreasonable demands fail to be met. The reasons for the segregation being both reasonable, historical and necessary as it has been proven over and over again. What would this world fall to if we entrusted non humans with wands? With a conduit for their aberrant magical potential. Would they take out jobs? Demand further change? Change that we are so desperate to prevent as we struggle to hold onto time-honored tradition as the young, the reckless and the crazed insist that we change for the sake of doing so, to facilitate their specific needs or in direct violation of wizarding values. Censorship has allowed us to remain polite in these trying times, but there is no polite manner in which one can murder innocent children or violate their peace of mind in formerly secure setting. These inhuman representatives seek to become leaders, lawmakers, to instill their faith and values into our children. Eventually as numerous and as allied as they are with the so-called marginalized they will likely prove to be nothing more than glorified muggle dictators attempting to take what is not theirs. Beyond the specifics of what is newly emerging and what’s neatly recidivist in our generation of weak-willed wizards that wish to bend to the mewling cries of a people that expect everything and have nothing to offer. |  ●▬▬▬▬▬✦✧✦✧▬▬▬▬▬● There’s never any “consent of the governed,” just submission of the frightened. ●▬▬▬▬▬✦✧✦✧▬▬▬▬▬● What we are looking at with SCAR and their leadership is the disheartening possibility that dictators of any vintage are merely variants of the larger, permanent type of gangster government. The SCAR tyrant merely represents, in more vivid plumage, the nature of leadership in our modern state. Wizarding society far from being derived from some social contract, arise as protection rackets and largely remain so. SCAR only hopes to broaden this fact of life. In the classic study “War Making and State Making as Organized Crime” (1985), there’s never any “consent of the governed,” just submission of the frightened. The state and its actors are not a security service designed to protect you from invaders but a scheme designed to make you pay to protect yourself from them. As SCAR grows in authority and potentially gains hold we will be quick to realize that we have ceded a certain amount of freedom in exchange for protection from violence coming from the same people we ceded our freedom to. SCAR plans to come to London this August, rallies in streets. Violence likely offered and suffered by our youngest and most vulnerable, not the non-humans but our very children as we forfeit out future to seem 'progressive' and understanding. Rumors swirl around a youth movement and the potential indoctrination of youth and many parents fear that SCAR will attempt to influence or threaten our children withdrawing from their their peace of mind and tainting what should be the springtime of their lives for the sake of furthering the non-human magical agenda. |
