Name: Gregorio Andrade Botín "Boe" Mirales Correa
School: Castelobruxo
Year: Fourth (4th)
Status: Pureblood

Appearance

Gregorio Andrade Botín Mirales Correa, or 'Boe,' is a good-looking young man with sharp angular features and high cheekbones. Gregorio's brown mop of hair is always perfectly windswept and gives the impression that he had just come from a long walk down a beach, even though Boe had perfectly tailored his look this way. He constantly wears a very placid and neutral expression. However, by no means is the boy stoic; instead, Boe believes that stoicism is akin to royalty. When he is not in his Castelobruxo uniform, the boy rocks beach bum chic attire: close-fitting button-ups, khaki chino shorts, and boat shoes. In addition, Boe is hardly ever seen without his fingers full of rings and a gold chain around his neck.

The boy stands at a height moderately above average. Even though Boe has a thin and lithe build, his strength was deceiving and thus surprising.

Personality

Gregorio makes sure he is known for his family's prestige with a terribly posh and entitled attitude. He isn't a cry baby by any means, but when he feels slighted, even by a minor degree, he holds onto that grudge as if it was his last chance to live. With a fierce intelligence to match his physical strength, Gregorio is known to have a mean streak against those Boe finds annoying or below his level of stature. The idea that he should act regally and keep up the presentation of his high class is firmly present in his personality. Even though he has some blood purist bias, he keeps that fact low. It's not very stately, after all. His obsession with how he appears to others creates a very unhealthy need to make everything about himself seem perfect.

Boe excelled in his academic studies, which stems from his perfectionist ideals. Thus his grasp of foreign and ancient languages alike is relatively well developed. However, being a perfectionist combined with his already extraordinary sense of self-importance creates what some would call a 'narcissist.' Of course, he would disagree because he generally considers himself better than ninety-nine percent of people on earth. If one proves to him that they are worthy of his friendship and company, Boe will do just about anything for them.

History

The expertly documented history of the Mirales family states that the family came from the old country to the New World. In this new untouched land, the Mirales' cultivated their export and trade of exotic magical creatures and goods across the seas from the Americas to Europe and Africa.

The Correa line claims much more extreme history without much historical backing. Many with the name state its ties to the royal courts of Asturias. However, critics of the family line claim there is no factual information to verify the accuracy of the insistence. However, the most recent documentation of the Correa line dates back to Lisbon shortly after the Liberal Civil War. Then, like a plague, the family's sway grew and spread its tendrils across the new world and the old starting in the 1840s. Branch families pop up consistently and quickly with Correa's power and global reach. But, of course, rumors and twisted family history also result from such a broad reach. For example, one night inside a small bar in Lima, circa 1985, Gregorio's first cousin twice removed, drunkenly claimed that their ancestor was the inspiration for the legendary Don Quixote. However, there was no bumbling idiot who mistook windmills for attacking giants, but rather that ancestor slew a marauding group of violent giants. For the sanctity of Wizarding secrecy, the man had disguised the giants as windmills to trick the onlooking muggles, thus making him look like a bumbling fool. It is impossible to confirm the story's veracity, and the claim is just the babbling of a drunken fool.

Gregorio's parents, Maximiano Lourenço Carlinhos Caetano Correa and Emília Alexandrina Soraia Seixas Mirales, had first met in the halls of Castelobruxo. However, it took them many years of being schooled together and graduating to realize that they were meant to be more than friends. Traveling through similar pureblood social cliques had brought them to spend much more time together and thus led to dating and into marriage soon after. Luckily they both came from prestigious families, had similar views on how one should live, and spent several years getting to know one another before actually deciding to tie the knot. They created business ventures with one another. Originally it was supposed to be a family business. However, the natural obsession with their work grew too strong. After bringing three children into the world: Arabelle Veronica Catia, Gregorio Andrade Botín and Raul Otávio Vinicius. Both Maximiano and Emília failed to be present in their children's lives due to their abundant work schedules, so the Mirales Correa children were mainly raised by two employed house-elves, who were graciously nicknamed Fedorento and Pança by the children. The Mirales Correa parents had survived well enough by just throwing money at their children and hoping for the best. It worked well enough, if not spoiling the children a tad bit too much.

Gregorio and Raul were always as close as could be. Some would assume they were twins because they were attached at the hip. However, the brother's relationship with their eldest sister, Arabelle, was what you could call toxic. With Arabelle in her final year at Castelobruxo, her snobbish and shit don't stink attitude has come out in full force against her brothers. She would always stoop low in an attempt to bully her younger brothers, yet she was always met with an equal and opposite force of hatred back at her from Gregorio. Gregorio had always felt the need to protect his youngest brother from her terrible campaigns on their psyche and egos. He always felt the need to be his brother's protector and advocate. In contrast, Raul's and Arabelle's relationship had gone from cold to lukewarm, and Gregorio's hatred of his sister still runs deep in his veins.

A single Hoatzin had delivered Gregorio's invitation letter from Castelobruxo. It was preordained that he would go to their parent's alma mater. The first moment that he had performed magic unwittingly, Gregorio was mid-fight with Arabelle, getting so angry that they had nearly exploded in rage. A single 'I hate you!' escaped his mouth before his entire body turned a bright red color.

Gregorio was much more well-liked compared to his brother, Raul. Typically his time was spent reining in his brother's ranting at the lesser students at Castelobruxo. Boe still thought himself better; however, his sense of superiority came from his mastermind, like manipulating the other more inferior students into doing his bidding. Boe's academic ranking rivaled the best at Castelo with his natural intelligence. However, he had found a deep loathing for the school's extra-curricular activities. Even though he was physically fit, he found it tedious and bothersome at best. Just let the less intelligent students participate in menial labor.

Advanced Casting

Spite is a strong force of nature. Without it, many of the greatest heroes of the wizarding world would be nothing. Boe's spite against all the people who have wronged has grown, thus pushing him towards building his casting from its already high level through the ceiling and into the stars. Boe Mirales Correa, at a very young age, realized that his ability to hold a grudge had led him to create fantastic things for himself. In order to combat his sister Arabelle's constant attacks against Raul and himself, Gregorio studied tirelessly. The thought was that if he could out cast his sister, he would be able to defend his little brother. Boe spent many late nights practicing his offensive attack spells with only the image of himself gallantly defeating the hag that was his sister. His duty was never to let Arabelle win since their parents were non-existent in their life. Not once had any of them been punished or grounded for their hostile actions against the other, so there was no fear of repercussion for his constant planning and studying for vengeance. Each day, for days on end, the boy dug through tomes and studies involving the theory of magic to create a consistent casting style. With his pedigree, Boe could never let himself be like his brother, which involved him wildly flailing his wand around in a vain hope of producing even the most minor enchantments. As a Mirales Correa, there was a standard that he felt he had to live up to. Even with Arabelle being a terror, Gregorio felt the need to match and exceed her energy. If she were a terror, Boe would be the devil. His plan was, in actuality, relatively simple in theory. After ages of practicing his casting, his goal was entirely within reach of his claws. The boy perfectly swished and flicked his wand with practiced movements with a bucket of mud he had previously prepared at his side. Not once had he considered the repercussions of his actions, but as the tin of wet soil began to float away from him and towards his sibling, he couldn't help but let a giddy and devilish smile rake across his features. At a snail's pace, the container drifted up and over to where Arabelle lounged. With a soft and slight twist of his wrist, the bucket slowly rotated, and the pungent-smelling dirt slurped off the metallic edge and directly on top of his sister. Even now, the screams of anguish and rage that escaped his sister are perfectly cemented into his mind. How delightful.

Lovely Creature

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder; however, Boe Mirales Correa beholds many eyes. The boy held very elven features. He has a sharp, stoic face with solid lines that define his jawline. High and prominent cheekbones form on a very slender and oval-shaped head. Deep brown cold eyes, bordering on black, sit perfectly underneath manicured eyebrows. The cherry on top, Boe's voice has grown into a soft rumble that resonates in the chests of onlookers and listeners like a rockslide in the distance. The gift of genetics is something extraordinary, considering how it indeed decides who is beautiful and who is... visually inept. To add to the genetic lottery he had won, the boy knew what he liked and the best ways to let people know he was handsome. Boe wanted to regard himself in the way most people view the Mona Lisa. He was a masterpiece, and thus he should be treated as such. His hair is always perfectly messy and windswept. It was an enigma how Gregorio managed to keep himself looking faultlessly unkempt while also purposefully creating that visage.

Many adults claimed he would become a 'little heartbreaker' while growing up, and they could have never predicted how correct they were. With his natural charm, perfect eloquence, and a mean streak, the boy could quickly string people along and keep them on the line. However, Boe's undeniable glee from convincing people to do his dirty work for him was like the sweetest nectar, and he was an absolute addict. The boy's natural ability to form the personality that his victim most wanted was uncanny. The Morales Correa was best described as a chameleon, which only helped Boe ensure those who would fall for his guile tricks. So saying that the majority of his pleasing face and style was the reason for his beguiling nature would be untrue. Even though the boy won the genetic lottery and was incredibly enjoyable to lay eyes on, his ability to put on a mask that allowed a fake disposition increased his natural beauty.

The Mirales Correa family would never allow a slovenly appearance in their household. Their pedigree demanded everything to be immaculate. Therefore, grades, spellcasting, and even appearance would be under strict observation. However, the boy's parents were enforcing the ridiculous rules, but rather his sister Arabelle and Boe himself. If they could not keep honor to the family name, there would be no reason to carry it with pride.

Obnoxiously Strong

Reducio
Surprisingly, such a posh child from a sizeable pureblood family would rely on his physical strength. However, Boe was always strong, even from a very young age. Every moment he wasn't reading and studying, he was outside, playing with his siblings, or exploring the city of Sao Paulo. As a result of having such an active childhood, the boy's body naturally grew strong and dependable. Almost every day, Boe and his younger brother, Raul, participated in several contests of strength, as boys are known to do. However, wrestling was the one and only thing they did consistently. Not only did Boe have the advantage of being the eldest brother, but having such strength at his disposal, it basically wasn't fair in any instance of the word.

As Boe grew older, he began his strict workout schedule because he had followed Raul into joining the Quidditch team. Boe had zero interest in the actual sport because it seemed rather barbaric, but Raul had insisted that they join. There was always tricky for Boe to say no to his brother because Boe had felt a primal need to protect Raul from others and, more importantly, Raul from himself. Being conditioned to swing around an iron bat at an iron ball, his strength grew beyond his base natural ability. Raul always ended up shit-talking, and even though Boe's kid brother was perfectly able to defend himself, the beater always had to retaliate at any danger pointed at Raul. Boe was always strong enough to face the problem regardless of the threat. Luckily enough, his body was just as well developed as his mind. If that weren't the case, there would be issues that Boe could not resolve with his mind alone, and Raul could be in serious trouble otherwise.

Finally, the extra-curricular activities that Castelobruxo required of students' participation only furthered the boy's already large reservoir of muscle—so many hours farming with not very kind words to express his displeasure in the manual labor. Why in the world would they make a pureblood such as himself participate in activities only the plebians would be forced to do? His skinny boy strength was always surprising for somebody who didn't know the true power he held behind his rather lithe frame. Not that Gregorio would ever resolve into fist fighting, he finds it that he would be hard-pressed to pull punches and therefore lose his battle.

Statistically relevant

Reducio
All things considered, Gregorio was a very studious child. However, without his constant need to one-up his sister, Arabelle, he would not be nearly as mentally strong as he would be without her constant hostile presence. Boe spent many days flipping through dusty tombs on proper casting spell usage and advanced casting techniques in order to increase his already sizeable magical acumen. The Mirales Correa house held a deep library that his somewhat absent parents constantly updated. The boy would enter that library every day over summer break and pick out the next book that caught his intrigue.

The Mirales Correa family library was rarely used by anybody besides Boe. So it was honestly disheartening to see the beautiful library filled to the brim with texts only for them to be covered in a filthy film of dust and disuse. There was no reason this room filled with knowledge passed down through the ages would be left to grow old and degrade in time. Somebody had to read these books, and it looked like only Gregorio was there to fulfill the mission that he had placed before himself.

The boy would enter that library every chance he could, pull a book off the shelf, and blow the dust off the thick leather cover. Inside the family library sat an oversized plush leather chair and a small side table directly to the right. It had become a habit to enter, pull the book, blow dust, and then firmly plant himself into the armchair. Then, once he was adequately set up, he could just lean back into the cool material of the seat and properly start to read. Boe internally absorbed every word he could remember from those books. Of course, what child would ever need to read the likes of 'A Guide to Medieval Sorcery,' 'A study into the Possibility of Reversing the Actual and Metaphysical effect of Natural Death, with Particular Regard to the Reintegration of Essence and Matter,' or 'Sonnets of a Sorcerer' but it didn't mean that Gregorio didn't try. However, Boe was wholly lost the majority of 'A Study into the Possibility of Reversing the Actual and Metaphysical Effects of Natural Death, with Particular Regard to the Reintegration of Essence and Matter.'

His exploration into academia with these books that flew way over his head on their content only allowed him to grow further when he decided to do further research on subjects that mainly entertained him.
