Life is like mountains always up and down.
Hogwarts, Scottish Highlands.

It was July First. That meant one thing School was out!
Clair knew she would miss her friends, and she knew she would miss the magic, Great food, laughter that filled the common room, and even the drama.
Hogwarts had become her home, Ravenclaw had become her large family, and she had made friendships that would last forever. Yeah She would plunge back into the world of muggles for the next while. But she still could contact Simon Kincaid, her best friend. and Edward Smith, her Boyfriend. And soon enough she would be back, as a Second year, she would be back to learn, and to use magic.
Two months was not a horribly long time.

She had everything packed up and she was ready to go. Comet was wearing a striped blue and red shirt, with a small rabbit sized hand bag. In every way she was rocking her latest fashion, all she needed was a pair of rabbit sized glasses. Clair herself was holding a lot of things, her Satchel was full to the brim, her trunk was also full. With her broom tucked safely away she felt like she was ready to go, with one last look at what had been her life for the past 9 or so months. And then with that, she boarded the Hogwarts express.

The train ride was rather slow, Clair had sag and polished her broom for the first while, and then once it could not be polished anymore she put it back away and decided to give Comet a cuddle.
She laid out on the seat, happy to have a empty compartment, and put Comet on her chest.
She played with the rabbit for a while, until Comet had had enough of being hugged, patted and snuggled. Putting back in her cage, Clair wonder what she was supposed to do, She still had hours before they arrived at Kings Cross.

Her first thought was to find Simon and bug him, but with his Prefect duties she guessed he would be far to busy to be bothered with her.
She thought about also looking for other people, but as it seemed, anyone she knew was either a Prefect, or she guessed they'd be busy with their own friends.

So she sat down and read, and then slept for a while, or at least tried. The thought of a whole summer ahead of her was just so grand, she could not wait.
Sitting back up she realized that it would be late before she got home, if they drove home it would almost be five and a half hours, and if they flew home, it would only be a hour and fifteen minutes or so, either way it would be late.
Platform 9 3/4, Kings Cross, London.
After what felt like a million years, The Hogwarts Express finally slowed to a stop, they had arrived at Kings Cross, Platform 9 3/4!
Standing up on wobbly legs Clair took a moment to let them realize that they had to work again.
And then with all her stuff she made her way off the train, out on the platform there seemed to be millions of people crammed into a tiny spot. Clair tried to locate a quiet spot, to at least get herself ready to go again.

Deciding that that would not be happening, Clair left the platform, and with it the last glimpses of Magic for the summer break.
As soon as she was out she pulled off to the side, and pulled out her phone, which as soon as she turned on from it's long slumber started to ping a lot, as all the messages that she had been sent while she was at school arrived.
most of them were not important, at least for that moment, so she flicked down to her contacts and found Belle, she sent a quick message to her, letting her know she was at Kings cross now.
Ping! Belle had messaged back already.
K.
Clair rolled her eyes, her sister could not even type OK? Or OKAY?
She decided it would be simpler to phone her.
After the second ring Belle picked up.
"Yes?"
"Hey it's me CLAIR!" She said, making sure that Belle would know it was in fact Clair, and not some imposter.
"Yeah, what do you need?"
"A Ride home."
"Well I'm coming, I'm just getting a Taxi now."
Clair sighed, why did her sister need a Taxi? She could drive.
"Did the car break down or something?"
"No, I flew in." Belle's voice was short and clipped, as if she was in pain.
"why did you fly in?" Now their going to want to check my bags, AND they will find my Wand, and my broom, and my Satchel!" She wanted to scream at Belle, and her half thought out plan.
"Well now, we are driving back home, because of that reason."
"Soo how are we Driving back home, if the car is at home?"
"Taxi."
Clair sighed, Taxi would cost a ton, and it would be at least 5 and a half hours before she could smell the sweet smell of her home.
"Clair? You still there?" Belle's voice interrupted Clair's thoughts.
Without even thinking Clair hung up, her sister would arrive soon, she could deal with her then.

Clair had stood there for about 20 minutes before Belle arrived, her sister looked rather tired.
"Oh there you are!" She said, opening her arms for a hug, Clair paused a quick moment, and then took the hug, ignoring the fact that this was her sister and not her Mum.

After a moment Belle pulled away and looked Clair over.
"well you've lost a little weight, you been a picky eater?"
Clair shook her head, "Clair and Picky don't work in a sentence."
Belle smiled a tight smile, and the two started to head towards the Exist.
"So how are you enjoying being a Mrs now?" Clair asked tightly, knowing she was poking at a hot ember.
"Oh I'm quiet enjoying it, I'm sure you know that I kept my Maiden name though?"
Clair had to admit, she was a little surprised by this.
"Oh you did? That's... erm, nice to know" she felt that it was sort of replacing Misty, by taking on the name of Mrs. Fernandez.

As they walked out to the Taxi which was waiting for them, Belle and Clair did not talk, both unsure if they had crossed a undrawn line.

Finally the driver broke the silence, "C'mon home from school Miss?"
Clair paused "Yes Sir."
"which school do you attend?"
Clair paused, she had almost blurted out that she came from Hogwarts, which would be bad.
" Mayfield." She managed to push out, but only because that was what she had always been told to tell the muggles.
The driver nodded "that's a good school, I'd like to send my daughter there one day."
"It's a very good school." Clair lied, hoping that the school was indeed a nice school.
After that Belle seemed to keep to herself, if Clair tried to speak to her her sister would say nothing more then 'Yes' or 'No'

The Farm, Carlisle, UK.

After 5 1/2 hours Clair stumbled out of the taxi, her legs tired, along with the rest of her body.
"have a good night Ladies." The driver said after Belle had paid him and Clair had gotten all her stuff.

"Ok, go up and get washed up, I'll unpack for you tomorrow, See you in the morning." Her tone is dismissive, and it was all Clair needed to hear, so she went inside.
The house's smell had changed, it was less.... Misty and Jake, and more Belle-ish.

The house had changed a little too, it was now not a living time capsule anymore, it had been changed to what Belle and Josh wanted.
It tore at Clair's heart. It felt like the house was moving on, leaving Jake and Misty in the past.

But for now Clair was far to tired, it was around 1:30 in the morning after all.

She entered her room and found it the same as she had left it, which made her happy.
Unpacking her satchel, she put her wand away in a drawer, and then locked the drawer.
She put her robes away, and her broom, she also put away anything else that was magic, even if Belle was a witch Clair did not want her to touch the things that were most important to her.
She stacked her Books neatly away in her closet, best spot she decided.

And then she changed into pair of PJs and jumped into bed.

The next morning Clair was up at 6am, she got dressed and ready for chores.
As she walked down the stairs the smell of bacon and eggs hit her nose.
She scurried down faster.
"Good Morning Belle!" She greeted,
"Morning Clair, I've done most the chores, but can you do the Chickens please?"
Clair nodded and swept out the the house and to the chickens, she opened the door and all the birds ran out, happy to start eating bugs and grass.

And then she Filled up their feed and water.

Taking a quick moment she ran into the sheep and Goat barn.
Giving Cinnamon a big huge. And then she raced out to see Spark and Blaze, both horses looked at her for a moment before going back to eating. "Rude." She grinned at them.

After seeing most the animals, Clair made her way back inside, As she walked back to enter the house, she noticed a shiny red car parked in the drive, it was the small kind that fancy old people drive.
Clair pushed the random car out of her mind, she guessed it was Josh's.

Entering the house Clair took a deep breath and enjoyed the smell of breakfast, Bacon and Eggs was something that Clair could never say no to.
"If you'd like to wash I can show you to the Bathroom." Clair heard Josh say, he sounded like he was straining to be nice. Was Belle and Josh's relationship that bad already? Ha! She had been right about him after all!
"I think I can find my own way thanks." Came a reply, that was not Belle's, this voice sounded like it belonged to a old Irish Woman, with a grumpy touch.
"Ok." Josh replied, sounding even more strained.
The sound of a chair backing up on the floor filled the house and Clair cringed thinking about the new scratches that would be in the floor.

Once the sound of foot steps had become softer, Clair entered the Kitchen.
"who is our guest?" She asked as she sat down in her seat, only to be shooed away from and and told to sit in another.
"Ffion is sitting in that one!" Belle hissed.
Josh shrugged, "her name is-"
"Josh, May I explain?" Belle cut in, Josh just nodded.
"Thanks dear, well Clair. That is Ffion Walsh."
Clair stared at her sister, "Who exactly is Ffion Walsh?"
"She is your -our- Grandmother, from Dad's side." Belle looked like she was stressed.
"Wait, Our dead grandmother is back?" Clair asked, confused at how the woman who their Father, Jake, had always told them that their Grandmother was dead, if more questions were asked they were shushed and the topic was changed.

"Listen, Please be as good as you can be, please?" Belle asked Clair.
"Fine." Clair said, feelin the tension crackle in the air as Belle served the food and they all sat down waiting for Ffion to come back.

After a long time Ffion arrived back, she was not what Clair had expected at all.
Her skin was pale, and aged. Her hair was very curly, gray, with the odd fiery red piece refusing to go away. Here eyes were the same blue as Clair, no doubt where Clair had gotten them from, She wore a long plaid dress, and her face was neither happy nor angry.
"So the girl finally showed up huh?" She said, her accent was super think, and it made Clair have to pause to understand her.

When no one spoke Ffion seemed to take that as a signal to talk.
"So your Clara?" She asked, gazing at Clair.
"No, My name is Clair." She said, annoyed that her own 'grandmother' could not get her name right. The woman did not seem to hear her as she just kept talking.
"So are you all packed up?"
Clair looked at her, "No? I just got home from School at like one am last night."
"well, that's no good, go pack again." She ordered.
"Wha- why?"
"Ffion, Clair does not know." Belle said, looking super guilty.
"I don't know about what?" Clair asked, rather defensively.
"Umm, Finish your meal and then I'll tell you." Belle said, pointing at Clair's plate that was barely touched.

Clair pushed her plate away, it did not matter that it was Bacon and Eggs, this was not the time to be eating.
"No, tell me now." She demanded.
"Clair!" Belle's tone was sharp, "Go to your room and pack your trunk!" She ordered.
Clair stood up, knocking over her chair. She turned around and stomped up to her room, before slamming the door. She knew there was something up, something that Belle, Josh and Ffion knew, that she did not.

She flung herself on her bed, anger that she had been betrayed filled her.
She sat up, she had been told to pack her trunk. but she had not unpacked it from last night, so what was she to do now? Nothing in her wanted to walk downstairs and look at the evil woman who claimed to be her grandmother. no that was the last thing she would ever do.

Instead she flopped on her bed and grabbed her phone. she decided to google some of the questions she had had lately. Just before she could start googling about the up coming Goat shows, Belle opened the door.
Clair sat up, "Nothing like knocking eh?" she asked, rolling her eyes a little.
Belle came and sat down, "Look, I know that I owe you a explanation of what is going on, but if i tell you, please don't interrupt me ok?"
Clair laid back. "Spill."
"well. If we are being honest, which we are, I did not think this would happen." she sighed. "just like you I was told she was dead, I believed Dad's Story completely, until she arrived at my Wedding."
Clair looked at her sister, "She crashed your wedding?" and then she giggled a little at such thought.
"She claimed she was my Grandmother, I was so busy with the Wedding that I just waved away any doubt and thought that she must have been Mum's Mum. Well the next morning when we were going to take everything down and she arrived there. That was when I noticed that she was not Mum's Mother. Grandmother on Mum's side had brown hair, and no accent. Things weren't adding up, when we chatted she seemed to know a little bit about Dad, but she claimed he had a Brother. which as you know we have no Uncle on Dad's side." Belle paused and Clair cut in.
"The info she had, was it info you could find online?"
"I'm getting there, It was Josh who had the idea of a DNA test, of course that would tell us if she was indeed related to us in anyway. So she agreed to take the test. It turns out she is indeed our Grandmother." Belle sighed again.
"So that means we also have a new Uncle too?" Clair asked, "what is his name?"
"His name is Herri, Herri Fernandez. He is currently living in Spain with his wife, they have no children." Belle filled Clair in.
"So, back to Ffion, because You still need to know why she is here." Belle looked like she wanted to cry. "Remember when Mum, had just died I came and we chatted in Hogsmeade?"
Clair nodded, "Yeah Izzy said she would live with a Friend and I said I'd stay on the Farm."
"Correct, but things have changed, with your Grandmother being alive. lets just say that she would like custody over you."
Clair sat up quickly, "WHA? I get no say in this?"
"Here is the thing, from what I understand you don't. But after the summer is gone, I'll try to fight it again. I've been told to give it till the end of the summer."
Clair stared at her, "Your kidding right? this is all just one big joke?"
and as if to prove it was not Ffion came in the door.
"Alright Clara, Lets get a move on it, It's already Half past seven, I'd like to get home before noon!"
Clair Rolled her eyes, "It's Clair." she said, knowing it would fall on deaf ears.

Josh arrived in Clair's door too, He took her truck and left, Clair guessed he was taking it to the car.
she stood up, "I won't go." she said defiantly, she could make herself weight more then a cow if she wanted to, or at least that was what Misty had always told her.

"well Missy, You'll go whether you want to or not, C'mon Make it easy and move." Ffion said, her voice gruff.
Clair shook her head. "Na ah."
Belle shook her head "Clair go, please."
Clair looked at the two ladies. "Why should I go? I was promised that I could live on the farm still."
Ffion glared at her "You have three minutes to get outside and into the car. If your not in there by then, then things will not be fun." Ffion turned and left.
Belle looked at her, "C'mon Clair, Please just go, she is not joking about things getting nasty, I promise that I'll be here after, just go." she picked up Comet's cage and things and left the room, Clair guessed she only had about two minutes.

She knew the choice had already been made for her. She would half to go. Yet just the thought of being forced to go was just so horrible. She wished she could just get her trunk and Comet and hide in the barn.

She sat there for a few seconds brooding at the woman who has just showed up not even three hours ago and was already claiming her. Thinking quickly she got her wand and put it in her pocket, even if she could not use it, it would make her feel better.

Finally, she stomped to the door, her eyes swept around her room one last time, and left the room.

She hurried down and out onto the Drive, where Josh, Belle and Ffion stood waiting for her.
Her grandmother tapped her watch, "Cutting it a wee bit close huh?"
Clair ignored her, "Goodbye Belle" She hugged her sister tightly, even if she was grumpy about this, she would still miss her sister. "send me my school stuff soon please.'' she whispered in her sister's ear.
"Goodbye Darling Clair." Belle replied, and hen more softly she said "Of course I will."
With that, Ffion opened the back seat and Clair sat down.
Ffion shut the door and sat in the front seat, as the car started Clair sat there brooding at the fact that she would not be seeing the farm for a long time.

Ffion did not talk for the first while as they sped down the road, and Clair was glad of it, because she was in no mood to listen.

It was not until they had been driving for a good two hours before Clair broke he silence.
"So where exactly are you going?" She asked, glaring at the back of her grandmother's head.
"To West London" She said matter of factly.
"London?" Clair groaned, this was only getting worse, at least she would be close to Simon, or at least sort of close.

For the rest of the drive Clair was quiet, as was Ffion......
