History/Background Story
May was born on May 16, 2010 and was named after the month she was born on. She raised in Windermere and is an only child whose parents passed away when she was only 2 years old from an experimental magical accident when her parents were trying to invent a new spell. Her Grandfather took her in and they live together in a small cottage in the countryside. Her Grandfather creates beautiful stained glass architecture and has made several little decorations for May’s room. Her Grandmother passed away before she was born from a illness of magical origin that had no known cure. May’s first instance of magic was when she was 6 years old on her birthday. Her Grandfather had invited some of the local children over in their area and was having a grand time. However, when it was time to bring the cake out, one of the little boys immediately dug his hand into the cake and took a big chunk out and put it in his mouth. Outraged, May yelled at him and the cake exploded all over the boy who began crying. The other children were silent in shock as they watched the whole debacle. Her Grandfather merely passed it off as a surprise he had manufactured that was a little more powerful than he thought, satisfying the children’s confusion. That night May learned that it was actually her magic that had surfaced for the first time and the importance of keeping it a secret from muggles.
