Athena skipped into class, excited for the first magical class of the day. She had just made good with her best friend and was in the best spirits. She was sure that she would have fun in this class. She chose a seat near the middle of the half circle of seats and set her quill, wand and parchment down. She shifted in the seat and looked around her to see who else was in her class. The seats were filling in but no one was making an attempt to talk to her. Athena looked around for the teacher or instructions, but neither were to be seen. She reorganized her supplies for the second time nervously and hoped there would be some instruction. Suddenly there was a poof at the front of the classroom and Athena gasped. The teacher had appeared in front and there was no trace of a trapdoor on the floor. She puzzled over how he had appeared there. It occurred to her that he had used magic, and she gasped. This was the first class that had used magic and she was practically jumping out of her seat to learn how. He allowed them time to introduce themselves to each other and Athena looked around for someone to talk to.
