It was Easter break, This break Quinn went home to see her parents. She did stay at Hogwarts for most of the breaks. This time she wanted to see her parents. Her parents had brought her to Diagon alley, they had told her they wanted to get her some more things for school.

"Quinn wait here with your mum for a second I need to grab something out of gringotts." Quinn's father told her and her mum and he gave her mum a wink as he said it, as they walked out of madame malkin's making sure her robes would be good. Quinn thought that they had enough for the stuff she would need but she shrugged it off. "Ok dad!" She said as he walked towards the wizarding bank.

After a few minutes her dad came back, He had a whole bag of gallions with him. "Now Quinn when we go in here you can not spend all of our money. You get me?" Quinn's mum asked her. They then started walking "Ok.. Don't know why I would spend all of you money, But I wont." She told her parents.

'Where are we going....? I'm so confused" Quinn thought. Her parents kept giggling at the confused look on Quinn's face. Which only made her more confused. After walking in silence for what seamed like ages, The Root family arrived at Magical Menagerie. Quinn's confused face imitly turned into a massive grin. "No way! you're going to get me a pet!?" She asked her parents. She some how managed to forget that your allowed to have a pet at hogwarts.

"Yes, My mother got me a pet" Quinn's mum looked at her dad "Yep and my mother got me one too!" He told Quinn. "we are giving you one now! Because we think you need one! here's the money to buy the pet, Now your mother and I are going to finish getting your necessary school items because you can never have too much" Quinn ran up to her parents and gave them a massive hug. Her dad gave her the pouch with all the money in it. "Thank you so much, Mum, dad!" She gave them a squeeze before letting go and walking into the pet shop.

When she walked in she immediately heard a kid cry out "But daddy!! why can't I have a pet!" The father told his son "don't worry i'll get you one when you get to go to hogwarts!" Quinn smiled 'looks like i'm not the only one getting a pet today!"

"Hello! welcome, are you looking to buy a pet today?" An elderly man asked Quinn. He had gray hair and was tall, And had some white glasses. His shoulders were broad. He had a very welcoming smile. "Yes I would like to purchase a pet and the things I will need to take care of it" She told him.

"Go ahead and look around, And if you need anything don't be afraid to ask."He said with a smile. Quinn gave him a smile in return, He was nice. She looked around getting a first glance at all the animals. After taking in the shop she set off to look at the reptiles. They had snakes and some lizards, they where very cute but Quinn did not feel like getting one of them, as she wanted a pet that she could cuddle.

She went to go look at the cats, they seamed like the best bet. They had many options on cats, they had black cats, and orange cats. They all looked so cute, taking a closer look Quinn saw that they had stickers saying the day and year the cat was born. There was one particular sticker that stood out to Quinn one of the stickers read. '2 - 10 - 2022' " the lot of you where born on the same day as me!" She told the cats knowing that they could not understand her. Quinn reached down to let the cats sniff her hand, one of them might become her very own pet. She looked closer at the sticker apparently these cats where Silver Siberians. Quinn picked one of them up, this one was big. He was the cutest thing Quinn had ever seen.

She went up to the man who owned the store and bought her cat, she had purchased some food and toys for him. She then carried him out to meat her parents.
