It was a rainy spring day, but the weather did not reflect Sienna's mood that morning. She had always loved the rain, and walking through Diagon Alley while it was raining was rather fun for her. Her younger brother smiled a rare smile as the rain fell on him relentlessly. He too loved rainy days. Walking at a slightly quicker pace, their mother glanced back at the two of them briefly before continuing without a word. They had a few things to pick up here and there from the various stores around Diagon Alley, and Sienna's mother had asked if Jack and Sienna would be open to tagging along.

"Come along you two," their mother called, stopping short in front of the Magical Menagerie. "Why are we here mum?" Jack asked inquisitively. "I thought Sienna might like to get a pet so that she will be less lonely at Hogwarts." Sienna's face lit up. "Really? You mean it?" It was no secret in the family that she had close to no friends at the school. While she didn't want her mother to only be here to get her a pet because she was friendless, she couldn't hide her happiness at a new companion.

"Then it is settled. Shall we?" Diana Lenoir opened the door to the menagerie with a slight smile forming on her lips. Jack immediately bounded away to look at all the different pets, pulling Sienna by the hand after him. Of course he went over to see the magical pets first, gazing at the pink and purple colored pygmy puffs with wide eyes. "Look Sienna! You should get one of those!" "I don't know about that Jack, maybe something non-magical for me," she replied softly. When he seemed disappointed, she quickly amended her response. "But just think, in a few years when you start school, you could get a pygmy puff for yourself." He brightened up considerably at the prospect of his own pygmy puff.

He dashed over to the owls next, gazing at one of the screech owls with a smile. "Look how small and cute this one is. I wonder where it came from?" he asked no one in particular, his curious nature coming through. He glanced up at his sister and became all serious. "What are you going to get?" Sienna smiled, "I honestly have no idea, but that's why I've got you right?" At his smiled, she encouraged him a bit. "Why don't we go over here?"

They walked over to where the cats dwelled and crouched down to see some of them better. Sienna turned her head to look at Jack. He seemed a bit saddened by something. "What are you thinking right this second?" "That one looks like something Ali would have." She followed the direction where he pointed to see a small, silver tabby cat.

The shopkeeper came over just then to ask them if they needed anything. "Could I see that cat there?" she asked, gesturing slightly to it. Once the shopkeeper had placed the cat in her arms, Sienna could smell a rainy sort of scent on the cat. It was beautiful and it did look like something Ali would have. Turning to her mother, Sienna said, "I think this is the one."
