Taizu had finally gotten his flute in the owls, and he was glad for it. He hadn't practiced in a long while, ever since he had left for the school and had forgot to pack it, and he had missed it the entire time he had been at the school. He was glad to feel the cool metal in his small hands once again, and he was going to find a long awaited practice room. He couldn't wait to play his instrument, and his tiny hands were faintly shaking with excitement.

Making his way along the turning corridors and many, many stairs, (Why the founders had not just put in the magic equivalent of an elevator, he did not know, but the stairs were definitely hard on his childlike body) he finally made his way to a room he had seen a few times going to classes but had never actually entered called the Rehearsal room.

Taking a deep breath, he peeked into the room, hoping that there would be nobody inside the room and that he could practice in peace. Seeing nobody in for the moment, he sighed and walked in, where he noted the music stand and chair set out, and he sat down, placing his music down on the stand. But before he could play, he would definitely need to tune. Who knew how bad the instrument would sound. Lifting the instrument to his lips, he began to play a few notes, then adjusting the instrument bit by bit, the notes floating through the cool air of the castle.

Emily was walking around the castle trying to find someplace quiet or someplace she could just hang out and practice her singing. The young girl hasn't sung in a while and she wanted to see if her voice was still good or not, so Emily walked toward the Rehearsal room. Before Emily walked into the room, however, she heard music being played. The young girl knew that whoever was in there was tuning their instrument. She didn't exactly want to barge in, but she really wanted to test out her voice, so Emily decided to knock.

Emily waited for some time before she decided to walk away, but she decided to stop where she was and think about what she'd do if she was allowed to hang out with whoever was inside the room. She wondered if she'd be able to sing for them. But again she didn't know. She hoped whoever was in the Rehearsal room was nice and not mean. Emily decided to walk back to the door, she just stood waiting on the wall beside the door, so she waited. From what Emily could hear, she quietly hummed, despite being a good singer, she could also hum well. Her cousins advised her to become a singer, and she might just do that when she leaves Hogwarts. Or maybe she could start early, maybe in her fifth year.

Taizu had kept playing despite hearing the knock, as he was fully absorbed in making sure that the instrument was tuned correctly before opening the door. After finishing tuning the instrument, he played a few notes to make sure that his hands could reach the different buttons still, as he would struggle normally to reach all of the fingerings. Satisfied in his playing, he set the instrument down to get the door.

As he stood, he wondered what to say to the person outside the door, for he was still extremely nervous around most people, though the welcoming people of the school had done wonders for his self-confidence. Already, he was planning on telling the person that they were welcome to come in and practice as well, instead of cowering and not doing anything like he had done the first few months of school.

Opening the door slightly nervously, he said, "I'm sorry to have been a bother. The practice room is open if you don't mind my occasional playing." Opening the door further, he saw a girl that appeared to be about his age, though she was slightly taller than he was. However, this was nothing new to the already tiny boy, as he was easily one of the shortest people in the school excluding a few of the half-goblins.

Emily continued to wait patiently until she heard the door open. She got off the wall and saw who opened up the door. She saw a young boy slightly smaller than her, but she saw that he was in the same house as her. When she heard him speak she listened, then she smiled and said,

"It's ok, I wasn't waiting for that long. Also, is it ok if I test out my voice since I haven't sung in a while?"

Since the young Gryffindor was only going to sing, she decided she'd ask before she just started singing just in case the boy didn't want her to sing, she'd know before starting to sing without asking. The young girl then waited for a reply before going in. She didn't want to just go in before getting an answer to her question. But, if the boy didn't want her to sing then she'd just have to find somewhere else, even tho she looked everywhere and found no place quite enough for her to test out her voice.

Emily is interested for some odd reason and asked, "You were playing an instrument, right? What were you playing? You don't have to answer that question if you don't want to."

Taizu looked up at the girl in front of him, and noted how she was in Gryffindor with him. He felt slightly ashamed that he didn't know who she was, but then again, he barely knew who was in his dorms. He was just too nervous to actually talk to anybody that he might happen to meet in the hallways or common room. And so he barely knew anyone in the school. Granted, he had gained some valuable friends over the year so far, but he was still the nervous person from his childhood.

Opening his mouth, he looked up at her and said, "I-I don't mind in the s-slightest. I just want to p-practice my flute a little, s-so you are welcome t-to join me." Opening the door, he watched as she walked into the practice room, then went to his chair and stand to pick up his flute, which he had left lying on the chair.

Lifting it up, he was about to play when the girl asked him what instrument he played. Looking over at her, Taizu said, "I play the flute, though I started off learning how to play the piccolo. The only real difference between the instruments is that the piccolo is an octave higher than the flute and the fingerings are closer together." He walked over to her with his instrument in hand, and showed it to her, before lifting it to his lips and playing a soft and short melody.

Emily waited for an answer until she got one. She noticed that the boy was stuttering. She knew that the boy was most likely nervous. Emily smiled at the boy than she walked into the room and looked around. She was amazed with how beautiful the room was.

She decided to walk over to where a music stand was and she stood beside the music stand. Emily than saw the boy walking over to her with his instrument. She looked at it when he showed it to her. After he explained the two very alike instrument's, Emily said,

Oh, thats so cool! I think their the same, but thanks for telling me the difference!"

When Emily heard the melody from the flute the girl started to him along, but she didn't start to sing yet. She probably would so tho. If she were to sing, she'd most likely pick a K-pop song, since she's familiar with K-pop more.

Emily finally knowing what she'd sing, started to sing lightly to try out her voice a little bit. She made sure to be in rhythm with the melody while she was singing. She remembered the song that she's singing, cause its her most favorite song by BTS.
