Dear @Colin Sidhe,

xxxxxxxxIt was just like Maggie to spend valuable time loitering around in search of something fun to do. Obviously, at school, fun wasn't particularly important. When it came down to the wire, having a good time was secondary to learning and education. That didn't mean that Maggie had the same values as the professors at Hogwarts, per se. While the professors, bless their hearts and souls, seemed quite bent on making sure Maggie completed assignments, she wasn't particularly interested in writing essays upon essays over things she could easily just work out on her own. Most of her turned-in assignments were just fancy guesswork, anyway. If Maggie ever came to the library, it was to terrorize someone. Ordinarily, it would be to bother Liana Kerr as she studied (a genuinely studious student if Maggie'd ever met one, for certain), but Liana's departure from Hogwarts and her new enrollment at Durmstrang--going no contact, which was just lovely--had weighed heavy on Maggie.

Maybe it was to reminisce about their short time together. Not even a whole year. The two hadn't even been allowed a year with one another before the dreaded Marcus Kerr decided his daughter couldn't fraternize with the enemy, aka unsuspecting students who just so happened to not be born with 'pure' blood. Maybe the library provided Maggie with something she didn't often have, peace and quiet.

Or maybe she was just looking for someone to bother.

One of the three.

Maggie hummed soft to herself, flitting around the library and taking great care to keep her voice to a minimum. Inside voices, her old muggle teacher used to chide when Maggie got a bit too loud and wound up. After all, Colette Simmons probably didn't want to deal with giving out detentions because a silly little first-year couldn't be bothered to keep her voice down. Books were slid out of place, providing Maggie with tiny peepholes through which she could peek, in search of invisible and little-known secret passageways in each and every nook and cranny.

Despite her best efforts, this was bo-ring.

Colin kept his head bowed slightly as he wandered through the library, paying little mind to the few others there. He'd came to the library rather frequently through the past year, for the purposes of homework and study, especially during the colder months, when he couldn't sit outside. It was safer, he felt, than the common room, as here he found that there was guaranteed silence - A notion that definitely was not going to be challenged any time soon, he was sure.

But today he was not drawn to the quiet halls by need of escapism, no; for the boy had somehow managed to lose his potions textbook, which had proved quite a bother when trying to do homework. Not willing to bother his peers by asking to borrow a copy, he traipsed among the bookcases in hope of finding . After all, in such a grand library, they were bound to have a few spare copies of Arsenius Jigger's work - That's what he hoped, anyway.

While searching, though, he did happen to notice books among the shelves being shifted out of place, curious eyes peeking through, while quiet humming was faintly audible. It could just be someone searching for a book, he reasoned, but considering how their gaze didn't linger on the actual books for too long, it didn't quite seem like that was the case.

Probably someone looking for trouble, he thought, assuming the worst, as per usual.

Bearing that assumption in mind, he tried to stay out of their line of sight, keeping away from any of the little peep-holes that were being made between the books, before returning his attention to the shelves.

Tracing a finger along the spines of the books, he finally laid eyes on what he was looking for. Magical Drafts and Potions. by Arsenius Jigger. Perfect. He pulled the tome from the shelf and opened it, flicking through the pages absently.

It's pronounced "Shee", not "Sidge".

xxxWhile Maggie didn't find a book, she did catch sight of another person. It almost felt like one of those bad apocalyptic films, where there were zombies everywhere, taking over every single structure and stealing minds. Nobody was in here and Maggie was incredibly bored.

Colin Sidhe was about to be incredibly overloaded with feeling.

Having watched the boy peek around in search of his book, Maggie squinted through one of her peep holes. Then, steeling herself, she stepped out around the bookcase and observed Colin with her hands behind her back. "What do you have there?" The girl craned her neck and adjusted her body, observing the front cover of the book with a furrowed brow and pinched expression on her face. "... potions? That's gotta be boring. Like, crazy boring. Has to be something more interesting, man."

Maggie turned on her heel and began observing the shelves once more, trying to find a more interesting book that might suit Colin's fancy. Nope, nope, nope, nada. Nothing. Maggie couldn't find anything of use or intrigue. All looked awfully boring. Most of them were school things, nothing that might be any fun at all.

"Nothing. Can't find anything worthwhile in here!" She turned back to Colin with her arms crossed, grinning at him expectantly. His reaction to the girl would tell if he was friend material or not. With luck, he wouldn't get angry and curse her very existence. It was just that Maggie thought he looked lonely, bored, in need of some assistance or intervention. Not that Maggie knew anything about divine intervention or anything like that, but she did know a thing or two about boredom busting.
