Another free weekend and Hunter was wearing more casual clothes than usual. A black-blue shemagh, and a white-blue mixed sweater. Normally Hunter would wear all black clothing, but today was supposed to be a bit more special. As per usual, Hunter could have been considered the earliest of birds amongst his fellow housemates. He stood by the river beneath a familiar tree knowing fully well that he was early. One would wonder why the young Ravenclaw boy was out early by the river. He was waiting on a certain someone who had asked him on a date. A certain someone he wasn't even 100% sure if he felt the same about.
Love was an oddity, and Hunter could only feel curious about it. It made him feel... weird. Not in a bad way, but also not completely in a good way either. He wanted to know if he could understand love, and whether or not he did share the same feelings as the person who asked him to come to the very spot he was at. He also wasn't sure what was going to occur, he only knew they were to meet in the same spot they first met. The same location is full of magic that brought Hunter to meet that special someone. How they met was rather silly and very embarrassing for Hunter. He blushed a little back to the thought and began to blush even more from the fact he was out here for a date. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to expect.
Hunter felt extremely under-prepared and under-dressed. Only hundreds of questions swam through his head, and he truly didn't know what his first words or actions should be when that certain someone showed up. Even when alone and in nature, Hunter felt as though he was about to have an anxiety attack. That was, till he felt a tiny squeeze on his leg. Looking down, a tiny bear was hugging Hunter's leg. He looked down and recalled the bear was something he had bought the previous week due to anticipation of this date. Hunter was so unsure of what to bring, that he decided a gift would have at least been sufficient. Was it too much? Would it portray feelings that he wasn't even sure he had? He didn't know, he was really unsure. "Embraco," as the bear was called when he bought it. Supposedly it hugs anyone nearby every couple of hours. It felt nice, for the hug actually calmed Hunter a bit. He lifted the bear up and thanked the inanimate object.
Soon Hunter saw that special someone approach. He waved with one arm and began to walk towards them. Eyes still facing the ground, he shyly offered the enchanted bear to Judith Cohen. He didn't say anything, he just lifted it in front of her, shaking it a bit as if telling her to take it. Hunter was at a loss of words, and his mind was rather clouded.

Judith was very excited about her very first date with Hunter. As always she knew she'd have an amazing time with him. She brought her back with a few snacks and lunch she had taken with her just to be sure the two would have something to eat. She decided to get dressed in a rather casual dress she had brought with her from home, since it was the weekend and the sun was shining, she thought a dress would fit perfectly for this day. She did decide on wearing a modest light blue dress,. Altho Judith was Jewish, she wasn't all that observant duo her living situation, therefore she didn't always were modest clothing, altho with her robes that wasn't too hard, but the only reason she particularly decided to wear a modest dress is just that, if she'd ever tell her mom she went on a date with a boy, and she wasn't wearing her modesty clothing, her mom would probably chase her down and let her read all about modesty for at least 4 weeks. Altho she probably thought worse of her mom than she actually was. Her dad would be really understanding, since he, himself isn't Jewish at all.
As she arrives at the Great Lake, she sees Hunter standing there, holding a teddy bear in his hands. She looked up and smiled. "Hey!" She said rather shy. She wasn't sure how this was going, since she herself wasn't so good with love or relationships. This was their first date, but did that mean they were actually dating as in a relationship or were they just dating? She tried to shake the ideas out of her head, because the most important thing was that she was here with Hunter, probably having one of the greatest moments she could ever have. She is surprised when Hunter gives her the teddy bear. her face goes red. She looked at the stuffed animal and smiles, she looks up and as if it was a reflex, she gives Hunter a hug. Not sure how he would react, or if he even was a person who likes hugs, but at the moment it just felt the right thing to do. "Thankyou so much, i love it!"
When Judith pulls herself back from the hug, she grabs her bagpack, opens it, puts the bear gentily into her backpack, and grabbed the box she had been carrying with her for a while now, one that was rather special to her. It was a Music box. "here, have this. it's a music box i bought when i first came here, it plays a sound that you remember from your childhood, for me it usually plays a Chanukah song haha, but i'm sure that i'd play a lovely song from your childhood as well!" She said and handed over the Music box.

Too Close to the Water
Hunter froze in body and mind. As if struck by the full-body bind curse, he couldn't move at all. He had never experienced a hug from someone his age before; in fact, he rarely experienced any sort of physical contact with anyone. He usually avoided people, trying his best not to stand out and be seen. Only pre-Hogwarts had he known and experienced affection before. However, that was with his own family. As Judith hugged him, all he could do was be frozen in a mixture of emotions. He didn't know if he should hug her back, was he supposed to? How does one hug another person who is the same height as him? With so many questions and unfamiliarity, Hunter felt completely out of place. Yet, he wouldn't describe it as uncomfortable. Locked between Judith's arms, he didn't exactly want to push her away. It was hard to describe what Hunter was feeling, but it was mostly just an alloy of confusion.
When Judith backed away, Hunter's face was a flurry of red. He had expected everything except a hug, and then he began to worry if anything more than a hug was to occur. His face immediately shifted towards the ground and he began twidling his fingers. He was unsure what to say or do. Eventually, he lifted his head and was about to say something... till Judith placed the music box in his hands. A gift from someone else, and a rather expensive one at that. Hunter's face grew to a new shade and he felt as if he was going to pass out from all the new emotions and embarrassment he had. "I-I-I-I c-can't accept this J-Judith.., i-i-it seems way too important. I-I d-don't think I should have such an n-n-nice gift." Was what Hunter began to sputter out. He held the music box and felt a bit curious as to what song it would play if he'd open it. However, it didn't seem right to do so, not yet at least. The item seemed better in the hands of Judith, and Hunter wasn't expecting a gift at all.
As they stood there near the river, Hunter could only wonder: "U-u-ummm... W-what do we do n-next? O-on a-a dd-d-date?" The poor boy was clearly nervous. Despite the calm and tired expression always portrayed on his face, his lack of speaking had always given him away as being shy and anxious. He had to ask a question that seemed very embarrassing to ask, but he had no clue as to what occurs on dates or what Judith had in store besides a possible picnic.

Judith smiled, Hunter was really polite and kind, but she really didn't want Hunter to give the present back, probably because of a bit of her politeness. "please, keep it! It's yours now!" She said and smiled, slightly pushing the present back into his hands and hoping for him to accept the Gift. She looked around, and she was happy they had decided to go to the Lake today since the sun was shining bright and the temperature was pleasantly great.
Judith giggled a bit as Hunter was stuttering, she saw it as quite adorable and very sweet. And she even laughed more when he asked her what they should do on a date. "i'd say don't ask me if never had one either." She loved that Hunter was so sweet, and caring and that he was even very shy, it was special about him, and that's what she cared for the most, that he was him, but she wanted him to be himself with her. "you know, you don't have to stress about being here with me, it sounds all a super big of a deal going on a date, but it's just us two, no one else, you don't have to be stressed to be around me, i won't be going away, nor leave you alone with the lunch, cause i brought you some hell of a lot good chocolate frogs, so if you expect me to leave, it will surely be after the chocolate frogs." she said jokingly, hoping to comfort him.
"Let's move over to the lake and just talk, i got a pretty nice book with me that i think you might like?" She said and grabbed his hand, walking over to the Lake to take a seat and enjoy the sun.

Hunter held the music box and stared at its intricate design. He believed it certainly cost more than the fluffy bear that he gave to Judith. Both were magically enchanted, and he hesitated upon opening it. Perhaps music would be more appropriate later, and he held it in a forceful and delicate way; forceful to not drop it, but delicate enough to where it wouldn't harm any part of it. It was the first gift someone besides his parents had given him.
Hunter blushed a little more at Judith's laugh. It was a pleasant and cute one, but he was confused as to why she was laughing. Hunter always felt a feeling of confusion when around Judith, and he felt even more confused when trying to figure out why. Some say logic isn't human nature, and that was something Hunter found frustrating. No matter how logical he wanted to be, emotions would always rise up and take over. The worse thing about emotions was the fact that they were hard to explain, or rather couldn't be explained in the slightest.
The promise of some chocolate frogs and a good book did clear Hunter's mind again. Sweets were probably his biggest weak spot when it came to being convinced in doing almost anything. The moment something sweet hit his palate he'd probably calm down by a lot and almost act completely different. If anything, Hunter should probably carry sweets on him to make sure he never fell under his anxiety again. He smiled at Judith and was glad of what she asked and promised. Hunter did feel rather guilty; he felt he should have brought more.
"S-sure..." Hunter said, he began to walk towards the lake. It was odd how he and Judith met, and he peered over the water at his reflection. Peaceful and tranquil with little disturbance. He assumed neither of them was going to be climbing up a tree this time, or nearly falling to their doom in the water. He took a few steps back, and decided to sit against the tree he had met Judith at originally: "S-s-so what b-book did you b-bring t-this time?" Hunter tried his best to be calmer with Judith, but his nerves were already in shock from her previous hug. Judith was probably the only one to let Hunter drop his guard and relax his feelings of paranoia. Whether this was a good thing or a bad thing was yet to be stated.
He decided getting to know more about Judith would be a good idea during the date right?"H-h-how has b-broom racing been?" Hunter recalled Judith was a part of the broom racing team's in their house. He even crafted a banner for her a while back.

Judith followed Hunter and took a seat against the tree, next to Hunter, opening her bag with the book she had brought. It was Pride and Prejudice from Jane Austen, her favourite author. She always brought the book with her wherever she went just because she grew up with it, and had loved it ever since her dad read it to her when she was a little girl. "It's Pride and Prejudice, from Jane Austen. She's my favourite author, and it's my favourite book, like the best book ever, you should read it!" She said and handed the book over politely.
Hunter asked about Broomracing, which Judith actually loved. She remembered how he had shown up at her game with a banner, which almost made her fall off her broom from happiness. Great! altho i think i might try out for Quidditch next year if I really enjoy it! but i want to try something else you know, well see how it goes!. She said and looked around. She could see the water, it was bright and looked extremely beautiful. "Do you have any plans for this summer yet? I heard there is a summer camp on Hogwarts, i might be going, depending on if my parents agree, i hope they do, they might not like it that ill be away for an extra month during the year so." She said and smiled, reminding herself to owl her parents for that as well.

Hunter accepted the book from Judith, curious as to who Jane Austen was. He never quite heard the name before, so perhaps the author was a muggle rather than a wizard. Or Hunter just never read any of the books written by Jane Austen. He placed the book beside him and planned to read it another time. Best to focus on the date rather than the book is what he assumed was best. Whether it was the presence of the book, the nature, or the calming tone of Judith. Hunter felt like he was able to relax a bit more now. It was only just recently he had become more accustomed to being around so many people and meeting people around his age. So for now, he felt he could relax a lot more: "Really? What sort of role will you be going for?" Hunter looked over Judith and she didn't exactly seem like the strong type. Then again, her cousin Juniper seemed rather violent and strong despite having a small stature like Judith: "Let me guess... chaser or seeker?" Those seemed like the best two options for Judith and seemed like rather appropriate roles to try out in Quidditch. However, he did feel a bit uneasy due to seeing players be knocked out hard with bludgers, "Just... be careful, alright? Those bludgers look like a serious problem." Hunter was still a first year, so he still couldn't be a helpful assistant in the hospital wing. He also had that unnerving side him of always wanting to experiment with spells or potions on other students. He looked over at Judith and smiled. No... he would never experiment or test new things on her, if anything he was probably experimenting or testing on others to perfect his skills for people like Judith: "If you ever need a personal Healer, I'll be on the side ready to catch you," Hunter tried to say in a rather cool fashion... but he ended up blushing and looking away in a shy fashion. "Do you watch quidditch often? Like, have a favorite team of sorts?"
Time went by, and Hunter could feel his eyes beginning to feel slightly heavy. Too much studying, too much reading. Hunter was basically a night owl who just avoided sleep a bit too much. His head slouched against Judith's shoulder for a moment, and he hadn't quite noticed, "I was planning on joining broom racing myself next year. Any tips for when I fall off my broom?" he gave a slight smirk at that comment. He enjoyed the sunlight that shined and reflected off of the water... soon though, he could hear a slight grumble come from his stomach.

Judith smiled when she saw how much interest Hunter showed in her, in all her hobbies and her daily life stuff. It made her feel like she really did matter, altho she knew that everyone has a purpose in life, but he made her feel like she mattered just slightly more. There was so much she'd want to just throw out, talk to him, throw her whole life story there, but her introvert locked all her words behind a wall, which only gave her the opportunity to once i a while throw some words over that wall. "Actually, i went for the seeker, but i doubted a lot, cause i do really like chasing, it seems so cool, and it was fun practising it at the pitch and such so, but in the end, i went for a seeker!
She said happily, enjoying the time she was spending with Hunter. She blushed once he told her he'd be her personal healer. She knew Hunter had been very skilled with potions and all, but she never knew how skilled, which she was kind of curious to find out. Thank you, i'd really appreciate that. If heard you are skilled at potions and alchemy? What is about it? What makes you love Alchemy?" She asked, trying to get to know the person she had been spending all this time with.
"And yes i love Quidditch, but i haven't really been watching it. If been trying to watch the matches here, at the Pitch, but my parents don't really watch Quidditch, they actually always just wanted to send me to an Orthodox private school, and then to University. My dad wanted me to go to America, can you imagine? I wasn't really fond of the idea, I like London. But of course, Hogwarts is way better! Do you have any favourite Quidditch teams?" Judith asked him. Judith was very excited for the hunter when she heard he was joining the broom racing team, it was a really lovely team with a lot of amazing students and captains! "That's so cool! I don't have any actually, last time, i busted down myself..., but i am 100% sure you will rock it, and if you wall, ill just come and catch you!" She said and smiled.

Too Close to the Water
Hearing she went for seeker made Hunter tense up a bit as that role was the most important one. It didn't mean he doubt Judith wouldn't bring the win for their house, but rather the fact that she was most likely going to be attacked or targeted by the beaters of other houses during the sport. Hunter was about to object, but Judith's smile and his own tired eyes made him deter from making a sound. He already said he'd be there to heal her injuries, he supposed he would have to keep up to such a promise. Still, he hoped he wouldn't have to see the small goblin girl be in harm's way.
The boy's eyes flickered upon her mentioning potions and alchemy to the young boy. The trade was what made Hunter, well, Hunter. It was in his blood, it was his past, present, and future. His destiny as a potioneer was determined the very moment he was born. Even though his father tried to change such a path, there was little to no hope. He found it interesting, and there was no shame to be found behind it. Hunter felt a bit heavier in the head, and his slumped head fell off of Judith's shoulder and onto her lap. He still faced the great lake, reminiscing in the reflecting light that danced on the small waves passing through: "It's just a family trade is all. I'm pureblood if you didn't know, but of a less known house here in Europe. Back in Africa, many people recognize my family's name. I don't know why, but all I know is we've been doing potions for generations. I guess... it just feels... natural?" It was hard for Hunter to put the words in a sentence. He never really thought about it, but when first introduced to the magical world, he kept turning his head towards the cauldron rather than the charms and hexes that existed. There had to be more to the story, is what he thought.
His head still laying on Judith's lap contemplated and eventually he had an idea as to why he pursued potions so much, "Really, I wanna be like my dad is all," the words were whispered as Hunter hadn't seen his father in a while. Before, his father would tell him all sorts of tales and stories that fascinated the boy; however, as time went on Hunter saw less and less of his father. He had his mother and grandmother, who he loved dearly, but he could never forget the ambition that his father showed him. Hunter believed if he followed the art of potioneering, then one day he'd be able to catch up and see his dad again. He lifted and shifted his head, and as his eyes met Judith's and he realized how he was positioned and immediacy sat up with a bright-red hue to his cheeks. The boy was embarrassed and felt much more wide awake now. His only thought was to curl up (head between his knees) and hide his embarrassment from the girl he trusted most. A slight whisper escaped from him, "Sorry..." as the heat of his cheeks continued to burn and a rumble of his stomach echoed slightly.

Judith listened very carefully when Hunter told him about his family. She found it interesting to know more about him, about his background, since that wasn't really something the both of them had talked about, she hadn't even told him she was part Goblin yet. She smiled when Hunter moved his head from her shoulder to her lap. She was very tempted to stroke his hair since that was something she really liked. But in the end, she decided not to. "Well as if told you, I'm Jewish, and my family's name is also very common! Cohanim or Cohen are priests who ancestor of Aaron, the brother of Moses one of our greatest prophets! Only man can be a Cohen aka a priest, but we still bare the bloodline, which is really cool!"
She said. She smiled when she heard him say he wanted to be like his father. It sounded very sensitive to her, which made her feel like the two of them really did grow closer. "Awh , that's very beautiful! I love my father, he learned me so much. Uhm... I haven't really told you but, I'm actually part goblin, so my dad learned me the goblin language. My mom's the Jewish one, and my dad's the Goy, uhm i mean non-Jew! So a pretty interesting family line for a religious one." she said and laughed.
When hunter moved himself back up, she thought she might have done something to make him uncomfortable, since he seemed to have gone very shy at once. But then she saw him blushing, which made her smile a bit. "Well, time to switch up i guess! May i? " She asked and laid her head down on his lap, facing her head at the sky.
"Don't you find it crazy? How this word is just... so beautiful? Maybe even more beautiful then the Muggle world? I like to believe it's a gift of G-d, it's just a beautiful thought that something created this beauty and that it didn't just turn up in an accident. " she and smiled, looking up to Hunter.
