The lightwoods were one of the well-known richest, eldest, respected pure-blood families. Thalia is the second youngest child of Mattheo Lightwood and Novella Lightwood (nee Silverthorn). Mattheo a Slytherin and Novella a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. Both complete opposites but both completely in love with each other. Mattheo Lightwood was and still is a strict, stubborn, serious man. He wants what's best for his children and the family name. Novella is the opposite of her husband. She is a smart, free-spirited woman who follows her own beliefs and passions and doesn't care what others think.
Thalia grew up at the Lightwood manor with her siblings. The eldest; Clarissa, second eldest; Dylan, and the youngest; AJ. It was usual for gatherings, meetings and parties to be held at the manor due to her mother and father being Aura's and them being one of the richest and eldest families.
Thalia always felt like she had to be the best and make her parents proud. She is constantly compared to her sister and wants to prove to her family that she's better. She grew up putting on a facade and closing off her feelings. Thalia had a thirst for getting into things she shouldn't with her best friend/younger brother and because of that she always made mistakes and seemed to disappoint her parents. Thalia was always closer with her little brother than her older siblings.
As a young small child Thalia had trouble acting 'lady' like. She hung out with her brother more than her sister and it was usual that she was covered in mud and dirt. She liked following her older brothers instead of her sister. She'd always play pranks on everyone or play quidditch with her brothers. As she got older her parents disapproved of the behavior and had a talk with her about being more lady like. She stopped playing with her brothers and got more into being independent and reading more. She'd disappoint her parents and family sometimes when she slips up so she made a promise to herself that she will be the perfect child and make her parents proud no matter what. She could always break her facade around her two best friends, Elizabeth and Nobel though.
Thalia is extremely rebellious and mischievous. She won't ever pass up an opportunity to get into trouble. Thalia is the type of person that'll act first and then think after. Thalia isn't really the type to be a mean person or a bully, but she is naturally blunt and has no filter. She will let you know what she is thinking most of the time and won't always succeed at not hurting people's feelings. Thalia naturally has a short temper and can get angry at times, but she mostly has it under control. She had grown up a certain way and may put on a facade but on the inside, she has good heart and knows the difference between right and wrong. She is kind and loyal to the people she cares about and will do anything to protect them.

First Instance Of Magic:

It had been the day before Clarissa and Dylan were going to leave for Hogwarts and they needed to make sure they had got everything they needed. They had been arguing over little things while a 7-year-old Thalia had been trying to read peacefully. All the yelling was disrupting her peace. She went to tell her siblings to shut it, but they ignored her. She had kept trying to get their attention, but they still had not listened and continued to ignore her. Thalia had gotten angry, so angry that it was enough for her to unleash her magic. Books went flying from shelves, papers flew from the desks, her siblings' trunks had gone undone, and clothes had gone everywhere, chairs flew against walls and even glass broke. It had startled the two older siblings and caused them to go really silent. Her parents had come up after hearing the commotion and saw the messy room. They immediately knew what had happened.
