Cash was in their room playing some soft tune on their piano when they heard someone knock on their bedroom. "Entrar! Come in!"Cash said to whomever behind the door then they continued playing some more. Slowly their bedroom door opened and their mother entered the room. "Mija, daughter"Olívia said as she walked toward Cash.
"Sí, madre? Yes, mother?"Cash replied as they still playing with the black and ivory keys. Olívia caressed Cash's hair fondly and softly. She smiled down on her only child. "Vendrán algunos invitados. Vístete bien, sí? Some guests will come. Dress nicely, okay?"The Healer told Cash. Cash suddenly stopped playing and looked up at their mother.
"Tenemos que hacer esto, mamá? Quién? Do we have to do this, mom? Who?"The green eyes questioned their mother. "Eleanor, su hija y los Hunts. Conoces a su hija, verdad? Eleanor, her daughter, and the Hunts. You know her daughter, right?"Olívia inquired the Beater. "Sí! Desafortunadamente, Yes! Unfortunately"Cash let out a huff.
The matriarch smile fondly at Cash's childish antics. "Sé que odias este tipo de cosas pero compórtate, por favor? I know you hate this kind of thing but behave yourself, please? "Cash's mother said as she rubbed Cash's arm up and down trying to calm Cash's anger. "This is important to me,"Olívia said in English. Her Spanish accent seeped through.
"Why?, You are her boss. I do not see this having anything related with me,"Cash crossed their arms in front of their chest. Cash's mother took a deep breath. She knows when Cash made up their mind, it is hard to persuade them. "Esto es importante para mi, cari, This is important to me, darling"Cash's mother stressed out.
"Me prometes que te comportarás?, Will you promise me you'll behave? "Cash's mother smiles softly at Cash hoping her only daughter understands her. Cash's green eyes search their mother's brown eyes. "Dale! pero sin promesas, Fine! But no promises"The Cuban descent told their mother.
"Bueno! Eso es todo lo que te pido, Okay. That is all I ask of you"Cash's mother clapped their hands and smile at them. Their mother still stood in front of them. Cash looked at their mother. "Why are you still here, mother? Don't you need to do some preparation for our lovely guests' arrival?"The young Ironwoods said sarcastically.
"Eleanor is lovely so does her daughter, Carolyn,"Their mother hashed out. Cash tried not to roll their eyes when their mother mentioned Eun-Ji's old name. "Sure, sure, mother. Now, go away, please. I need to change into something appropriate for our guests,"Cash smiled mischievously. "Don't you dare wear something I would not approve of, Phoenix!"Their mother playfully reprimands them.
"Te quiero, Cash! I love you, Cash"Their mother said then kissed Cash's forehead. With that being said, Cash's mother finally left their room. Cash had the urge to wear something to taunt Eun-Ji. But as their mother said, today is important for her even though Cash was not sure why. But their parents raised them well and Cash did not want to embarrass their mother in front of the guests.
A few moments later Cash was dressed. They wore the same outfit when Viridian Vipers celebrated their winning last year. From where their bedroom was located, Cash could hear faintly multiple voices come from their kitchen. The young socialite took a deep breath and exhale it. "Aquí vamos! Here we go!"Cash said to themselves.
They pushed down the handlebar of their bedroom and descend the stairs. When they entered the room, Olívia introduced Cash to anyone. Cash smiled even though they hate fake pleasantries but for their mother's sake, they pushed through. And when their eyes landed on the person that Cash can not stand other than Sam, Cash had the urged to deck Eun-Ji in the face but they restrained themselves.
"Glad you can make it, Hunt. Travel okay?"They said to Eun-Ji with a gritted teeth that was mistaken as a smile. Their mother knows perfectly well Cash hates social events. Social events drained them emotionally and mentally and yet their mother keeps doing it. Cash never knows why their mother is so fond about hosting social events at the Manor.

Blue in English, Red in Korean/ Other people: Bold in English“Now, that’s much better.” Eleanor smiled at her daughter. She was wearing a white dress with a beautiful flower pattern. Hair tied neatly into the bun and complimented by black bow headband. Eun-ji still wished she could have stuck with her previous outfit but she didn’t want to embarrass her mother in front of her friend. “Well since the muggle is not coming, let’s go to our house and use Floo Network to get there.” Her grandfather interrupted the moment curtly. The young witch really wanted to throw him a dirty look for the unnecessary muggle comment but the man still terrified her. There was a beat of uncomfortable silence before Annabelle threw her hair in the air dramatically and started marching towards the door. “Come on then. We don’t have all night.”
It was easy to get to the Ironwoods manor using the floo network. The Ravenclaw still liked to travel by car because she could watch life pass her by out of the window and relax but she had to admit the wizarding ways were much more convenient. “Oh hello Lettie. I hope we are not late.” Her mother’s voice brought her swiftly back to reality. She liked the fondness in her tone as she talked to Mrs. Ironwoods. It was nice to see her interact with someone she genuinely liked for once. She let her mother briefly explain the name change before finally greeting the woman herself. “Good evening Miss Olívia. You look lovely.” At first, she wasn’t quite sure what to call her. Eun-ji hasn’t been at St. Mungo’s since she started attending Hogwarts but it would feel strange to suddenly use her surname so she just went with what she was used to. “Indeed…and thank you for having us.” Her grandfather joined in. He sounded like a proper upper-class gentleman but his voice still had that typical icy undertone. “Pleasure to meet you. I’m Anemone, Eleanor’s mother.” Her grandmother introduced herself afterwards in a polite and rather kind way. It was incredible how fast that woman switched persona. Obviously, she wanted to be liked. Hunts were by no means an unknown name among pure-blood wizards but she would do anything to be even more renowned. For anyone that didn’t know her incredibly well, she would seem like a pleasant guest. Eun-ji unfortunately knew better than that and the display nearly made sick. She didn’t have much time to ponder about her grandmother's behaviour however. Cassandra’s arrival provided a guaranteed distraction.
The Ravenclaw watched as Olívia introduced all her family members to the Slytherin. She loathed them and she loathed the fact that they got a glimpse of her personal hell. Sure, for now they seemed like a typical upstanding family but Eun-ji couldn’t be sure how they would behave thorough the evening. Surely at least some of them would let their perfect masks slip. Still, she kept her polite smile, patiently waiting to be addressed before speaking again. Of course, of course it had to be Cash, who spoke to her first. They smiled as they talked but the raven-haired witch knew it had to be incredibly fake and as were their pleasantries. “The travel was okay. Thank you for asking…Ironwoods.” She answered sweetly.
Eun-ji never called anyone her age by their last name. It was really just a subtle jab at her classmate, who did so first. It was honestly annoying to be called just Hunt. It made her feel as if she actually properly belonged to that evil family. Sure, her mother carried that name as well but the witch hoped that would change soon. Her parents had to get married at some point, right? The smile that accompanied her answer was perfectly innocent though her mother seemed to sense something. Possibly precisely due to the use of last name. The suspicion was gone as fast as it appeared however. It was so unlikely for Eun-ji to behave anything but polite that Eleanor probably assumed it was simply what they chose to call each other. It wasn’t and the Ravenclaw wanted nothing more than to shut Cassandra’s mouth forever so she would never have to speak to them again... alas she wouldn’t be that lucky tonight. This is going to be a looong dinner.

Olívia was standing in the kitchen talking with Bastién Giroux - the Ironwoods' personal chef - about the last preparation before the Hunts will arrive at the Manor. While talking to the French man, Olívia heard the familiar swoosh coming from the fireplace that was located not so far from the open kitchen. "Oh hello, Lettie. I hope we are not late.”Eleanor said to the Cuban.
Cash's mother holds up one finger towards the French man as she walks up to her coworker and friend. "Elle!,"Cash's mother said with excitement and hug her friend. It is a rare occurrence for the Head Healer to have free time during the holiday so she will use it wisely hoping the hospital did not need her for any kind of emergency.
"No, no. You are just in time,"Mrs. Ironwoods tell the other Healer. Whenever Olívia is at home and she has her friends come over, she is just Lettie. Gone is the perfect and strict demeanor that she carried around when she is working at St. Mungo's. Then another swooshed can be heard again. This time Eun-ji and the Hunts emerged from the fireplace.
"Carolyn,"Cash's mother greets the Ravenclaw unaware of the name change of the ballerina. From the kitchen, Mr. Giroux called for her. "One moment. I will be right back,"She said. Once Olívia was done giving out orders with the last preparation for today's dinner, she walks back to her guests again. "Carolyn,"Cash's mother said. She smiled at the girl.
"Look at you, dear! All grown up and become more beautiful!"The Healer gave out compliments to Eun-ji and held her forearms unaware of whether Eun-ji was comfortable with the gesture or not. Then her friend corrected Olívia. She told her that Carolyn is Eun-ji now. "Of course, of course. My mistake,"She said as Olívia shot Eun-ji another smile.
“Good evening Miss Olívia. You look lovely.”The Ravenclaw said to the matriarch figure of the Ironwoods. Olívia makes a dismissal gesture with her hand. "Good evening to you too, dear. Thank you and no need to be so formal, cari, darling"Cash's mother said to Eun-ji. "You can call me Olívia or maybe like your mother just calls me Lettie"She beamed up.
Then a voice belonging to a man sends his gratitude for the invitation. To be honest, Olívia just invites Eleanor, Eun-ji, and her husband but Olívia is a polite witch and she welcomes anyone that Eleanor decided to bring. “Pleasure to meet you. I’m Anemone, Eleanor’s mother.”An older woman who just like Eleanor said.
"The pleasure is all mine. Thank you for being here,"Cash's mother replied in the same polite way as the older woman. Then Cash emerged. "Phoenix, come meet our guests," Olívia said as she saw her only daughter come up to the dining - kitchen area. Olívia then introduced Cash to the Hunts. Cash shakes the Hunts' hands out of respect.
"You are pretty!"Cash said to Annabelle and kiss the back of Annabelle's hand, hopefully, she did not mind the gesture. Cash's mother shushed them. "What did I say about you behaving tonight?"Their mother reminds them again in Spanish. "What?, I only said the truth,"Cash smiled up innocently at their mother. "And don't you know, mother, it is impolite to speak another language that your guests did not know of? They might think you talk about them,"There's a mischievous glint in Cash's eyes.
Olívia shakes her head. She knows very well it is one of Cash's antics to get away from the dinner plan that she hosts. "Nice try! But you are not getting away from this,"Olívia told her daughter. Cash let out a dramatic sigh. "Quit being dramatic and go talk to Eun-ji"Cash's mother ordered them. "Fine,"Cash replied to their mother and walks toward Eun-ji.
"Sorry about that,"Cash's mother uttered to Annabelle. The Beater stood next to the Duellist and asked whether she travel fine or not and Eun-ji told the green eyes that she traveled fine. While the grown-up had a small talk with each other, Cash averted their eyes from the group to the girl beside them. "Nice dress, Hunt"The Cuban descent expressed with a sarcastic tone.
In Cash's opinion, the dress that Eun-ji wear is nice but they did not want the other girl to think that Cash gave out a compliment to her. A moment later, Cash's mother told her guests that dinner was finally served. Once everybody is seated in their seat, Cash's mother asks permission if she can say a prayer. The dinner will be served a three-course meal and it was typical of how an elevated Easter feast will go.
"So, Eun-ji,"Olívia addressed the ballerina between bites. "What are you up to at school?"Olívia asked the Ravenclaw. "Cash here is a Beater for Slytherin team and a Writer for Headliner right, dear?"Their mother inquired about Cash. Because their mouth was full of food, Cash nodded their head. "Anything new with Ravenclaw?"Olívia asked the ballerina.
"In case this one did not tell you I was a Ravenclaw myself,"Olívia uttered then she cut up some chicken and took a bite from it.

Fake Best Behavior
Blue in English, Red in Korean/ Other people: Bold in EnglishEun-ji froze a little when their host touched her forearms. It was not that she disliked the woman, it was simply her first instinct as she wasn’t very used to physical affection. Still, her smile was genuine. “Thank you Olívia. You are too kind.” She decided to drop the Miss once she was offered to do so. She thought Lettie fit her well and it was honestly a beautiful name but Eun-ji couldn’t quite bring herself to use that one. It sounded extremely familiar and while she felt comfortable around her mother’s friend, the fact that her only enemy was her daughter didn’t quite sit well with her. Perhaps later if we see each other more often. The girl decided eventually. She had noticed Annabelle roll her eyes at the compliment. Nobody else seemed to see it but Eun-ji knew it would make her furious. Thankfully, knowing her parents were here as well, the blonde didn’t dare to comment on the fact. She obviously tried her best to behave...at least for now.
When Cassandra finally entered the scene and started making their rounds, Eun-ji heard her mother whispering to Olívia. She was apologising in advance for any bad behaviour from the Hunts and the young witch was honestly glad the others were too preoccupied to hear her. They would not like her suggesting that they were anything less than perfect. “You are pretty!” Cassandra’s voice made her turn back to the greeting ceremony in front of her. Ugh. If they only knew what kind of person she was. Then again, knowing the Slytherin they might just get along swimmingly. Olívia didn't seem to appreciate the gesture either and reprimanded her daughter immediately...or at least Eun-ji guessed that was the case by the tone of voice and the language change. She couldn’t speak Spanish but that’s precisely what her father did all the time.
“Oh my.. thank you, darling.” Her aunt clearly enjoyed the compliment. She wasn’t flustered at all, which didn’t surprise the Ravenclaw. Her ego has always been over the roof and she probably very much agreed with said statement. “I hope you are good friends with this one. They might teach you some manners.” Annabelle finally addressed her niece. It was a wrong thing to say however. At least judging by the sudden clearing of the throat, coming from her grandmother. It was not that she cared about Eun-ji but the sentence implied that she was lacking in some way and that was unacceptable thing to do in front of others... never mind that Anemone said the very same thing to her just a few moments ago. They were still at home then. As expected, Annabelle immediately took the hint and refrained from addressing her any further. It was a small relief but Eun-ji would take whatever she could get tonight.
To her dismay, Mrs. Ironwoods eventually sent Cassandra to speak to her specifically. She meant well of course but neither of the girls really appreciated the gesture. “Thanks, I’m glad you like it. I really value your opinion.” She replied with a smile, feigning innocence. It was pretty much perfect acting but just as she could tell that they were insincere towards her, Cash would most likely see right through her too. “You look great too. Your outfit is so… charming.” The raven-haired witch returned the compliment, chosing the word carefully. She sounded sincere but charming was not necessarily always used as a proper compliment. She knew plenty people that used it to hide an insult behind it. She would know, Hunts did this to her all the time. Thankfully, most of the others were talking amongst each other and didn’t pay much attention to the girls. The only person that stood close by was her ever vigilant grandfather.
Eun-ji swallowed nervously, fully aware that he too recognised the word for what it was and it was clear that he did not like her using it. Unlike Olívia, Anwir didn’t say anything aloud but he didn’t have to. The look he gave her spoke volumes. He was a terrifying presence in her life, always looming over her and the girl couldn’t help but turn away. She didn't even care if Cassandra saw her flinch. That's how menacing the man was to her. Her grandmother fought with words, twisted truths, vile "wisdom" and manipulated everybody masterfully, Anwir Hunt on the other hand, was a man of action. If he wanted something, he would do anything to get it, not caring about anybody’s feelings or well-being. It was not a man you wanted to upset. Ever.
Thankfully, Eun-ji was soon saved by Mrs. Ironwoods and her declaration that the dinner was ready. She didn’t hesitate for a second before moving to the table, sitting as far from her grandfather as she possibly could. “Oh, thank you for asking. I’m doing well, making sure to study hard as any other Ravenclaw. I have been part of the dancing club ever since I started attending Hogwarts and I draw in my spare time. I have also joined the duelling club this year.” She updated the older woman with a smile, side-eyeing Anemone as she said so. She looked somewhat displeased upon the dancing club mention but that changed as soon as she spoke about duelling. After all, it was her who forced Eun-ji to join it. “And I trust, you are doing well?” The woman questioned immediately. “Yes, so far things had been good.” The witch confirmed. It was a tough “sport” to do. Extremely painful at times and her grandmother knew that no doubt but that was not what she cared about. She only wanted results.
“Anything new with Ravenclaw?” Eun-ji turned back to Miss Olívia, glad to be speaking to someone pleasant once again. “Nothing much I suppose. We are all being the usual nerds. Caught up with Slytherin’s house cup record and I believe we might break it this month…You better step up your game, Ironwoods.” OOC note: I didn’t write that they broke it since I believe that happened only after the dinner. The house points would probably indicate that the Ravenclaw was ahead at this point though. She said so playfully. To anybody that didn’t know their relationship, which in this case was basically everyone, it would simply sound as a friendly banter. There was no malice in her voice but Cash would know better than that for sure. “Ah yes, it is quite funny. You were a Ravenclaw and my mum was a Slytherin when she was at school.” The witch commented with a smile. “Indeed, all Hunts have been in Slytherin for generations.” Anemone chimed in proudly.
To any less observant people this could have sounded like an innocent trivia about their family but Eun-ji knew it was just another jab at her person for ruining said tradition. She may have been accepted as their heir but none of the Hunts was too happy about it. They simply didn’t have any other choice. “Oh, I was so proud to hear Eun-ji got sorted into Ravenclaw. She was always an extremely bright child. It only seemed fitting that she would belong to that house.” Eleanor quickly jumped in to lighten up the atmosphere. She was smiling and absolutely sincere in her statement. It made the young witch feel a little bit less crap about herself thought she still couldn’t wait for the dinner to be over if she was being honest. The food was great, the company...not so much.

“Oh my.. thank you, darling.”Annabelle said after Cash gave out a compliment to the older woman. "Don't mention it, hermosa beautiful"Cash uttered as they beamed up. “I hope you are good friends with this one. They might teach you some manners.”The youngest of the Hunts expressed. While Cash pretty much enjoyed tormenting Eun-ji on their leisure time, they did not like the way Annabelle talked.
While Cash did not express their opinion, it seems Cash and Eun-ji's grandmother is on the same page. Anemone cleared her throat after she heard what her youngest daughter said to her niece. After their mother told Cash to buddy up with Eun-ji, they stood there for a moment before the green eyes make a comment on the dress that Eun-ji wore.
“Thanks, I’m glad you like it. I really value your opinion.”She replied with a smile, feigning innocence. The Beater tried not to roll their eyes. They know perfectly well what Eun-ji said was fake. At this point, Cash just wants to bolt from the room and hide in their room until the Hunts went home. But if the young Ironwoods did that, they know their mother will not appreciate their action.
Not to mention it will be downright disrespectful. Cash can feel a headache starting to form in their head. When they were little, Cash loves accompanying their parents wherever there were social events that any pureblood families held. But know they were not so keen about it. The reason why their mother insists to make the little Easter feast dinner at the Manor is so Cash did not have a reason to weasel their way out of the event.
And their mother knows it perfectly well. At home, Cash had no other choice other than comply with their mother's requests. “You look great too. Your outfit is so… charming.”The ballerina said. "Thanks,"The Cuban descent uttered as they brushed off invisible dust from their get-up. "I am dressed to impressed,"They added.
"Sadly it was not for you,"Cash jabbed. Then the Ravenclaw suddenly swallowed nervously. Cash wanted to ask why Eun-ji suddenly become tense but the young socialite remembers they can not stand the girl beside them. Not my problem, Cash thought to themselves. After a few moments of small talks on the adult part and awkwardness that filled the Hogwarts students, finally, their mother told the group dinner is ready,
"Thank god,"Cash said in Spanish. "I can not wait for this to be over with,"They speak lowly hoping no one hears them. Once everyone is seated and their mother has done with her prayer, another round of small talks begin. Cash hates putting on an appearance but their mother does it flawlessly. Putting appearances exhausted the serpent.
Olívia then asked what the eagle was up to at school. Eun-ji then explained it lengthy. She studied hard as any Ravens would do. She is a part of a dancing club and draws in her spare time. But then Cash takes interest in the conversation when the half-Korean told their mother that she is a Duellist. "You are?"Cash asked after they swallowed down their food.
The last time they support their Duellist friends, Eun-ji was not on the Duellists' roster yet. Then their mother told her guests that Cash is a Beater and a Headliner Writer. "Cash is a Beater just like their father used to,"Their mother uttered. Cash tensed up when Olívia mentioned Lavi. Cash pursed their lips and tried to control their anger whenever their father was brought up.
"Why do you have to bring him up, mother?"Cash questioned their mother. When Cash said this, all of the people in the room can hear the hard tone in their voice. "He left us, remember?"The green eyes said sarcastically in Spanish. "Can we talk about it later, amor? love"Their mother side glances at her guests, pleading with her daughter to understand the situation.
Cash's appetite was suddenly gone. "Fine!,"They said as they pushed the dinner plate a bit away from them. Olívia then takes a deep breath and from time to time pays attention to Cash. She knows it was the wrong thing to say but Olívia sometimes forgot about why Cash did not like talk about their own father. The Healer then clears her throat. She moves on to the topic asking what was new with Ravenclaw.
Eun-ji then provides what their mother asked of her. "...You better step up your game, Ironwoods,"Eun-ji said to them in a playful manner. The Beater gave a sour smile to the Ravenclaw. "Speaking of House Cup, how is your study, Phoenix?"Their mother asked them. "Nothing changed. You know how it is,"Cash said shortly.
The green eyes really really had the urge to just run out of the room with all the fake pleasantries. Their skin crawled and their stomach churned. Then their mother told Eun-ji that she once shared the same house as the ballerina. In returned Eun-ji told their mother that Eleanor was once a Slytherin. “Indeed, all Hunts have been in Slytherin for generations.”There was a proud tone when Anemone spoke about her alma mater's house.
At the given information, the green eyes' brains turn. They smile mischievously. They are still pissed at their mother for bringing their father up but they want to piss Eun-ji even more."Good thing you are not sorted into Slytherin, then. With your nature, you will not last a day,"Cash taunts their year mate. "Phoenix!,"Their mother reprimands them.
"That is not the way we talk to our guests,"Their mother expressed. "What? I only speak the truth,"Cash uttered. "We all know what the traits of Slytherin are or am I wrong about it?"The Beater getting sick of all of this. "May I be excused? I am not feeling too good all of sudden,"Cash said as they stood up and waited for their mother to grant their wish.
Olívia looked at her daughter hard. "You may not, "Their mother's voice becomes hard and strict. Of course, as Cash predict their mother denied their request. "Sit back down!,"Olívia told Cash in Spanish. It seems Eleanor picked up the tension between Cash, their mother, and the jab that was delivered from her own mother towards her daughter as she tries to lighten up the atmosphere by saying how proud she was that Eun-ji sorted into the house of eagles.
At the tone their mother is using, Cash sits back down and lets out a childish huff. This going to be a long dinner indeed.

Fake Best Behavior
Blue in English, Red in Korean/ Other people: Bold in EnglishDid Cassandra notice her nervousness around her grandfather? Eun-ji sure hoped not. Thankfully, if they did, they made no indication of it and so the witch allowed herself to relax a little. She enjoyed her meal and she enjoyed talking to Olívia even though she hated social events like this. She would much rather just invite the woman over to their house and cook a small family dinner for her and her parents. She’d feel much more comfortable like that. Sitting here, in the enormous fancy manor, being served by strangers and suffering her grandparents as well as her school enemy did nothing for her nerves. The previous couple of days were stressful enough as it was and this was not helping.
“Yes, I am. My first match was in January. I signed up late.” For once Eun-ji didn’t feel the need to be snarky. The Slytherin seemed to be genuinely curious. She was vaguely aware of Cassandra’s position on the Quidditch team but given the fact that she didn’t particularly enjoy Quidditch, she’d never actually seen them in action. Perhaps one day…if Flash is playing. She smiled to herself. The witch was about to reply to Mrs. Ironwoods when Cassandra finally lost their composure. Surprisingly it was not Eun-ji’s fault...rather, it was their own mother who accomplished it. The instant irritation on Cassandra’s face upon mentioning their father made the Ravenclaw feel so much better about her own predicament. She usually didn’t enjoy other people’s misfortune but she felt relived that she was not the only one with a fucked up family. Still, her disadvantage was that all her ghosts were currently sitting at the dinner table with her while Mr. Ironwoods wasn’t.
It took a few moments for the two to settle down again. Eleanor smiled at Olívia encouragingly while the rest of the table pretended not to notice anything. This included Eun-ji as well. She was definitely very much aware of the drama but she had no desire whatsoever to address it. Still, it didn't mean she was going to cease her passive aggression towards the Slytherin. She would just limit herself to the topic of school. The mention of the house cup brought a sour smile into Cash's face. They didn't have time for any comeback however, since Olívia took the opportunity to ask about their grades. Eleanor hadn't asked Eun-ji that question for quite a long time now. She used to the first two years of her study at Hogwarts but seeing as the report card always looked the same, she eventually stopped inquiring. The Ravenclaw didn't mind too much. She was not studying for her mother's benefit. She did it for herself.
The talk about houses was tense to say the least. The raven-haired witch honestly hoped to avoid the topic altogether but she knew she wouldn't be that lucky. "Good thing you are not sorted into Slytherin, then. With your nature, you will not last a day." Ah, it appeared Cassandra was done sulking and back in action. They were not even being subtle about it. “Oh? I didn't realise you knew me so well. Do tell me more please.” She asked her classmate sweetly. It was now a bit over the top though. With the Slytherin letting go, Eun-ji also found her facade slipping a little. She was still calm but the sass was getting much stronger and some people seemed to notice. "Phoenix!" Olívia reprimanded her daughter just as Eun-ji's shin received another painful blow. “Ow...why do you keep kicking me?” She hissed at her aunt at the same time as her classmate started defending themselves. Annabelle nodded towards Mrs. Hunt sitting right next to her. She looked pretty calm but her daughter could probably tell how irritated she was with Eun-ji’s behaviour. “How about you use your words next time?” She whispered angrily. It was enough she had to suffer one annoying Slytherin spouting nonsense, she didn’t need another one kicking her as well.
By the time she was done with her aunt, Cassandra was obviously ready to leave and honestly? Wouldn’t that be a blessing? One less snake at the table would do wonders for Eun-ji’s mental health. In fact, she would very much like to go as well but it wouldn’t be as easy for her to do. “You may not.” Oh well, it appeared it wouldn’t be easy for them either. “True…you should finish your thought first, should you not? Come on, indulge me. Why wouldn’t I survive there?” The Ravenclaw was trying to sound as if she was simply starting an interesting discussion and for the time being, it actually sounded sincere. “I have perfect grades and my drive to succeed is not negligible either…” she paused then. This is where her tone changed a bit, adding a tad more challenge into it. It was a subtle shift but it was definitely there. “Or did you mean the bullies? I have friends in Slytherin, who are both lovely and accomplished students.” Once again, her thoughts were with Flash. She was thinking about him quite often these days. She might even go as far as to say she missed the boy. That was a thought for later however. “Only the weak ones resort to bullying others and I’m not interested in hanging out with those. I'm sure I could avoid and handle them just fine.” She stared straight into Cassandra's green eyes as she said this. Eun-ji was talking about them and she was sure they would know. “In any case…I was never interested in being a Slytherin anyway. Quite glad I managed to avoid that one to be honest.” She shrugged finally.
The last part was a mistake to say aloud but the Ravenclaw realised far too late. She saw her mother opening her mouth to reprimand her but she didn’t stand a chance. “Watch your mouth child.” The silver haired man growled in Eun-ji's direction, successfully making her shrink into her chair. Eleanor threw him a dirty look but as usual, didn’t say anything. Nobody ever dared to oppose the man. Not even his wicked wife and that was saying something. It was understandable for her mum to be cautious yet Eun-ji still wished she would stand up for her once in a while. “I’m so sorry Lettie. We had to take care of some unpleasant stuff recently...Everybody is simply on edge.” Eleanor addressed her friend with an apologetic smile. She was definitely disappointed in her daughter. The young witch could tell. “The food is lovely by the way.” The blonde tried to salvage the situation to the best of her ability. Eun-ji gritted her teeth. How much longer would she have to put up with this? What a mess.

Cash nodded their head when Eun-ji confirmed that she is a Duellist and that she signed up late for her house Duellist roster. The green eyes want to change the subject but it seems their mother is fascinated by the fact. "How is it, darling being a Duellist?"Olívia inquired the ballerina. "I always wanted to try my hands on Duelling but I don't think back in the day we have a Duelling Club just yet,"Their mother mused.
"Or do we have one, Elle?"Olívia questioned her friend. "If we had one, it must be slipped my mind,"Cash's mother continued. Cash secretly rolled their eyes. They never know how their mother did it. Being nice and pleasant to the other whereas Cash just wants to get out from this fake formality. All went well until their mother brought their father up.
Is not that Cash hated their father per se but after what happened to their father and how their mother react, that is what made Cash angry. After the Ministry declared that their father died without any evidence, the green eyes only saw their mother grieve once, and after that their mother continued to live her life like nothing happen.
The Cuban descendant was annoyed at their mother but they projected their annoyance on the Ravenclaw by saying that Eun-ji would not last a day if the Ravenclaw get sorted into the house of the serpent. “Oh? I didn't realize you knew me so well. Do tell me more please.”The dancer clapped back by saying it oh so sweetly making Cash want to barf on the spot.
At the word that the Beater used, their mother reprimanded them and said that was not the way we talk to the guests. Cash knew they crossing the line but the young Ironwoods can not stand one single second more in the presence of Eun-ji. The Hunts are okay, Eun-ji was the one that they can not stand. The young socialite was ready to leave the room and it seems their mother would not allow them to do that.
With a huffed Cash sit back down. They did not know how much longer they could endure the torture. Once Cash sit back down, Eun-ji wasted no time barrelling the green eyes with her brand of sassiness. “True…you should finish your thought first, should you not? Come on, indulge me. Why wouldn’t I survive there?”Eun-ji asked them with a sincere tone in her voice.
Cash hated the tone that Eun-ji is using. They hated not knowing where Eun-ji want to take the conversation to. “I have perfect grades and my drive to succeed is not negligible either…”The other girl continued. Cash let out a scoff. "Ambition alone will not get you anywhere,"Cash started. "You are not tenacious enough and with the way you carried yourself, the Slytherin will eat you alive,"Cash continued.
At this point, they were afraid to look their mother in her eyes. Cash never acted this way. Eun-ji and all the people that Cash hate, bring the worse out of them. “Or did you mean the bullies? I have friends in Slytherin, who are both lovely and accomplished students.”Eun-ji added some more. At the word 'accomplished' Cash took offense.
It seems that just because Eun-ji get sorted into the house of smart and wit, that does not mean she has the right to belittle them. Cash wanted to throw the plate that sitting in front of them at Eun-ji's face but they took a little bit more elegant way and not sorted into violence. Cash will fight with their words. "Excuse you, Hunt!."Cash begins.
The way the Latinx said 'Hunt' with more bite. "I am an accomplished student as well,"They continued. Cash did not know why they need to defend themselves in front of Eun-ji. "First of, I am Slytherins' first-string Beater,"Cash lifted up their finger. One. "My grade is mostly O,". Two. "A Writer for Headliner,". Three. "And definitely a shoo-in for Prefect next year,". Four.
After Cash listed their accomplishment, the green eyes breathed hard. They really really tried not to let their anger get the best of them. But with the way Eun-ji baiting and putting them in a corner, it is a hard task to do. Then Eun-ji said something that the green eyes never expected her to say in such a setting. “Only the weak ones resort to bullying others and I’m not interested in hanging out with those. I'm sure I could avoid and handle them just fine.”She said as she stared straight into Cash's eyes.
Cash is about to reply but they made a mistake when their green eyes look at their mother's brown ones. Their mother looked at them hard and Cash definitely will never hear the end of it after the Hunt went back to their home. “In any case…I was never interested in being a Slytherin anyway. Quite glad I managed to avoid that one, to be honest.”Eun-ji said.
But after she said that, the silver-haired man growled in Eun-ji's direction making the Ravenclaw shrink into her seat. Seeing Eun-ji's reaction, Cash now understood the tenseness that they witness earlier before this whole dinner started. The man was colder than their father and that is saying something. The young Ironwoods were about to open up their mouth but their mother beat them to it.
"Cassandra, para! stop it!"Olívia demanded her only child. It is a rare occurrence that their mother called them by their second first name. Then Eleanor addressed her friend with an apologetic smile. "It is fine, really"Cash's mother replied to her friend with a smile. But a moment later she looked at Cash hard as a way for Cash to reign it in and be amicable to Eun-ji.
“The food is lovely by the way.”The blonde complimented. "Thank you,"Olívia replied back. Her brown eyes bounce from one guest to another. She tried to read the room. Too much tension in the room and it started to annoy her but Olívia kept her composure. "Everybody just takes a breather and I think it is time for dessert,"Their mother said.
Dessert would not solve a problem overnight and Cash wanted to let out a laugh at their mother's suggestion but they opted not to do that. After she said that, the Ironwoods' personal chef alongside some of the helpers bring some dessert to the table for all to enjoy.

Fake Best Behavior
Blue in English, Red in Korean/ Other people: Bold in English“Well…I’d say it’s interesting for sure and good for spellcasting practice but obviously it has it’s downsides as well.” The Ravenclaw replied to Olívia’s question politely. “Just like Quidditch I suppose.” Her mother nodded. “I heard fire-making spells are extremely popular with the kids nowadays.” The woman cringed a little as she said this. She had expressed her concern about that to Eun-ji before. It was probably hard to imagine especially with her being a healer and all that. On the other hand, it was her mother that made Eun-ji sign up so she shouldn’t be complaining. As far as the young girl knew, she didn’t oppose Mrs. Hunt when she learned about said fact. “I don’t think we had one when we started but it was eventually re-established somewhere towards the latter half of my studies. I don't remember when exactly though. By then I was already too occupied with healing spells and various potions so I probably didn’t pay much attention to it.”
Eun-ji gladly let the mothers talk. She was quite content just eating her dinner. Any moment she didn’t have to be the centre of attention was much appreciated. Unfortunately, such moments of peace never lasted long. With the next topic, the witch had to elaborate again and the situation got pretty tense. Especially when they started talking about the Houses. She watched Cassandra defend their honour with a certain gleam in her eyes. Why so defensive? She wasn't smiling but the Slytherin probably knew anyway. “Oh...but I never said you weren't.” The raven-haired witch pointed out, feigning confusion. To be fair, this time she was actually telling the truth. She was merely trying to point out that some people could be successful without being assholes. Her following statement most likely cleared that one up. In any case, Eun-ji wasn't eager to prove herself to anybody that she would be fit for Slytherin. Especially since she never regretted being sorted into Ravenclaw. She shouldn't have said so aloud though. It only made things more awkward at the dinner table.
Suddenly there was much more anger going around the table than she expected. Cash was probably pissed just breathing the same air as her, a feeling that was definitely mutual. Olívia was angry with their behaviour though she mostly reprimanded them in Spanish so it was hard to tell what was going on. Eleanor was also clearly mad at Eun-ji for being this prickly and Mr. Hunt was basically seething at this point. Well this is officially the worst dinner I have ever had. The Ravenclaw side-eyed her classmate, it looked like they were about to add something else but Olívia quickly prevented them from doing so. For a moment, both kids finally grew quiet. Eun-ji let her mother smooth out the situation and her friend latched onto it immediately. Apparently, the dessert was supposed to fix everything now. Doubtful…Unless Cassandra and all the Hunts choked on it.
Using the distraction the personal chef and some of his helpers provided, Eun-ji leaned closer to the Slytherin. Not too close, just enough so only them could hear her. The witch didn’t dare to speak openly with her grandfather watching her every move like a hawk. “Can we at least agree to ignore each other at school? I’m already feeling sick and it has nothing to do with the amount of food I’ve just eaten.” She whispered through gritted teeth. Eun-ji was also reaching the end of her patience, a feat that was not easy to achieve but this whole thing was just torture. Hopefully they wouldn’t have to repeat any of this in the future.
